You can complete the game on normal with any combination so you can't do anything completely wrong Other than that you should look at what combinations fits well together. The easiest path will depend on your play style. Defender is easy because you will have so many defensive skills and stats but unless you sacrifice some of that for some offensive output you will take longer to kill mobs Personally, i would go with either hunter and nature which will give you good damage output, healing and pets or Spirit and Earth which will give you good damage, life leech for healing, an awesome pet and lots of offensive skills to choose from
Just had it happen again. Happens so often it's pretty much impossible to play. I'm both sad and angry. It's not a cheap game, and I'm running a 6+, there's no reason it shouldn't work flawlessly. Has anyone contacted the developer? That's my next step.
Gripes So after a dozen hours, I have a few gripes that haven't really been spoken to, some more so than others - trash loot - so much mundane junk drops all the time, I wish there was a way to not even see it - lack of good loot - I'm sure this changes in harder difficulties but I only have a handful of blue items and a couple green - shopping - would be nice to denote whether an item is common, rare, epic, etc as opposed to having to click on each item at the shop - mobs - it seems like so much of the same enemies, without tons of variety. Gets grindy and repetitive - quests- super low frequency and nothing uber exciting. Yeah there are a few where you kill some unique enemies but they are few and far between - unique enemies - these should drop unique items hope im not alone on all this... I yeah, and the slew of bugs sucks too, I feel terrible for those who have lost their progress... Unless they complained about mfi support.
There are loot filters, you can hide rarity types. I agree the loot has not been interesting, but at lvl15 it has started to get better. I think in higher difficulties this will keep improving.
Thank you! Montanx Thank You! I forgot about the filters, this helps a lot. I am also 15 and I have seen a bit better stuff but there is still a lot to be desired
Well I just hit level 29 and have beaten normal. The quests remain about the same throughout but imho I just want to loot grind so I'd skip any quest that didn't give skill or stat points. Both rings are green necklace is blue, chest is blue I have three weapons that are blue and a yellow shield and helm. Green gloves and boots I felt the same thing as you though at the beginning. The loot is very slow at going, and I did get a bunch of caster stuff which was sad. My biggest advice is to filter out whites and only pick up yellows when it's a piece you want to upgrade. Also greens and yellows with the right rune can be stronger then some blues. Blues and purples can't have runes so when you find a good item don't be afraid to use a tune on it. Also each difficulty level has higher tier versions of runes so don't save them for endgame either. Finding a solid yellow weapon and putting on a completed thunder tune raised my damage by 50% and changed the whole game for me.
It's an easy fight, I equip the strongest bow I can or staff. Preferably with a dot on it. Come from the south west. Attack, run back south west he will break. Shoot him in the ass which will turn him around and make him break again. Play centaur pong till he dies. Farm him a bit and you will get greens and blues. Also if you keep going north east from his area you will find a save area. I save, reload and start there, run down and follow the right wall to the cave. Get the chest there. Then go south east till you get to the centaur. Kill him. Gate to town, sell / check for greens and blues on vendors / Save / Quit to menu. Repeat
It's been years since I played and beat TQ:IT. I can't remember - can you respec stats or skills at any point?
What's the deal with runes? I was saving them til I got a good equipment piece but them I can't rune it. I got a blue bow, the rune could not affix to it but could affix to a yellow. Is it because the limit off affixes on an item and the blue already had max?
If I remember correctly blue and purple items are not runeable. The best runeable color is green. BTW u will never find purple item on normal difficulty.
Enjoying the game a lot so far, never played the original. Have similar concerns as many other posters and hopefully some will be addressed. -wish there were more quests. I just go out and grind, but I'd like to have a reason. Considering the game is 10 years old, doubt this would happen. -Active skills aren't really easy to use. Often I feel like I have to hit the bubble multiple times or hold down on it, which hurts, since unlike a mouse, I have to stop attacking to do so. -I agree with at least outlining the items you own and for sale as the type it is. Seems easy and basic. -I feel the reliance on potions too much, and I wish life regenerated quicker in general. Potions are so cheap, I can just spend 150 on one, just make it so life regents faster, or at least while out of battle. -One thing I have done through a few builds is focus on getting my masteries up. Most skills give biggest benefit for 1 point, and subsequent points don't scale as nicely until you have strong weapons and armor. So, I have mostly been putting 2 points into masteries and 1 into a skill I may want to use.
Hello all, I have a question in warfare mastery: war wind skill. It seem that when using War Wind, it only attack 1 enemy. Have anyone encounter the same problem? Otherwise the game's enjoyable for me.
It's just not that kind of game. The reason for grinding is supposed to be getting loot or leveling up. You know, like every other ARPG that was made after Diablo II turned out so popular. So it's not really likely to change. At least on normal difficulty, it should never be necessary to go back somewhere and grind as you're doing enough of that just to get to the next waypoint. It hurts the UI that the buttons do two different things, and the game has to wait for a bit before it can decide whether you're trying to tap the skill button (cast skill on auto targeted monster) or hold and drag (cast skill at specific location). Maybe there could be an option to disable the dragging altogether if that can make tapping more responsive, since it's entirely possible to play this game in a way where it's good enough to use auto targeting. You'd lose out on the ability to AoE mob groups through walls (which is cheesy anyway), but the rest of the game might be more fluid. Or for extra bonus stars, they could implement a setting for each skill slot that lets us toggle between "allow dragging", "tap to cast at auto targeted enemy", "tap to cast at character location", "tap to cast on yourself" (heals and buffs), etc. Note though that for many skills, you have to stop moving anyway or they will be interrupted. I agree as well, but there is one thing I haven't seen mentioned yet: You can still "mouse over" items if you tap and drag starting from a location on screen where there isn't something you can interact with. So you don't have to tap every single thing; you can just slide your finger across everything. Borders would be better of course, although if you want to see the stats as well this is still necessary to compare multiple items to your equipped gear. Or they could do something similar to Diablo III, where enemies drop health orbs that heal you when you walk over them. I'm not sure we'll see functionality changes like that though since it's a port of an old game (and this potion spam issue is present it pretty much all similar ones, too... I still remember Diablo II sessions where I had the entire inventory filled with mana potions...) There are items with health (and energy) regeneration btw. They are not very strong early on. But if you're not expecting regeneration to keep you at full health while fighting and getting hit by enemies, it can be pretty decent. Healing up between individual battles is definitely possible via regeneration. The only problem is that it's so cheap and easy to spam potions that you'd rather push something other than regeneration, as in, something that actually does damage. Another aspect is that you get access to the more powerful skills earlier if you focus on pushing one mastery at the start.
dannythe fool has posted above some real usefull info. Thanks # One important point that he made. This is a port of a pc game that was made 10 years ago. The original developers of the game are no longer associated with Titan Quest. DotEmu can certainly improve on the port by making the touch controls more responsive and perhaps tweaking the engine to perform better on lower end mobile devices but changing the actual gameplay or the way the game is coded is probably out of their capability. Best to keep that in mind when requesting them to change things.
The very same reason I came to the forum. Seems "War Wind" isnt quite working right. There's also no speed bonus that I can see.
I can't get it to hit more than one enemy either. But I only just put a point in it on my battlemage to see if it's broken so this is just my experience from trying on a few small groups. The speed boost seems to be working though. The problem is it only works while the skill itself is closing the distance to an enemy. On iOS this means you have to drag the icon to a monster (actually highlight it) before the monster sees you and gets to you anyway. I can't seem to get it to just choose the nearest enemy I'm facing in situations where they're not already running toward me.
