So the easiest way to avoid picking up items during a fight is to toggle off the item list (mid left button on the screen) when you are fighting and turn it back on after a good slaughter to pick up your mounds of loot. I was originally leaving the button toggled on but that would disrupt too many fights

I really like the fire and spirit mysteries. Having a hard hitting pet(s) follow you around destroying everything is pretty awesome. Like having bodyguards.

Thank you for this! I guess I'll turn it off for now until I get a bit more mana.

    Happy

Wow what a game, so very damn happy, and polished and smooth, and the future is very bright, expansion and grim dawn :)

The skill slot in the bottom right is your auto attack. Tap and hold to assign like the other skill slots, choose "Basic Weapon Attack" for the basic attack.

Yeah, that one I mentioned as my biggest gripe with the controls too. The only way to avoid it is turning off the item display entirely (with the button on the left). Alternatively, removing common items in the filter options will make it slightly less of an issue as well once you stop caring about commons.

I wish it were possible to just disable this button for loot altogether. On a phone it's a bit different, but on iPad you can pick up loot easily by tapping the labels so you never need to use the action button for loot.

One of the improvements the PC version got with the expansion was a sort button for the inventory. Unfortunately they chose to not implement that in the iOS version (they have some of the other UI improvements from the expansion, like the undo buttons etc.).

FYI you do unlock more inventory space as you progress the story. So the available room becomes less of a concern eventually.

Aah, thanks so much for that tip! I thought it just toggled the descriptions, didn't realise it actually stopped pick ups as well. That's really useful to know, will try it out later.

On another note - just got round to downloading on my 6S and the performance difference with my iPad Air is monumental. Chalk and cheese is a poor analogy as neither are particularly smooth and the difference between them doesn't do this comparison justice - I'm going to opt for 'Teflon coated silk' and '20grit sandpaper'. Sooo very, very silky smooth on my 6S - no frame rate issues and everything running (literally, character and enemies alike) at the right speed. So much more enjoyable just frustrating on a smaller screen - not to mention some eye strain!

Even the character movement feels more precise - a slight tap only moves you 2 steps now, think this is more to do with character animation than the controls though.

Really hope DotEmu are listening and they spend some time trying to optimise this more for lower end (it's an iPad Air FFS!) devices. Would love to play it on the big screen but as it stands, IMHO, it's not worth the purchase for my iPad having now experienced how it should be running on my 6S. Real shame, wanted to get my teeth stuck in to this but looks like I may have to wait for either a) an update or b) a pay rise so I can afford a new iPad!......the former being the more likely of the two and I'm not holding my hopes up for that anytime soon!

Edit: For comparison - iPhone 6S 9.0.2 vs iPad Air 8.3.

That's also useful to know - the limited space is still frustrating at the beginning though as you still need to micromanage every time you inadvertently pick up something you didn't mean to. Also frustrating when looking to gather bits and bobs to sell for gold, can't really do a loot raid - more like a loot peruse and selectively pick! Still, good to know inventory increases in the later game.

If dev cant fix the lag i will have to ask for a refund because it is unplayable for me on an Ipad mini 4!!!

Love it on Steam. Love it so much more on iPad Pro. I would like mfi support as a consideration like others, but I don't know how complicated that would be.

No issues on a 12.9 pro, but I know that's not the average setup. With as much feedback in this community and a Dev that's this involved, I think the griping is a little melodramatic. Give it time or up your device and join up for one of the few robust pay once games on the store.

Props to the team and all you guys for great tips!

Force Install Possibilities, any info is appreciated.

    ORIGINALLY POSTED by Killerluffy246:

"Have anyone successfully force installed this on device that is not compatible such as the iphone 5? If there is, pls pm me a guide, thx.

    Also curious regarding IPAD 4."

I am in the same boat with these two, but I am stuck with an IPAD 4 as well. I understand I can "Ifunbox" the game and force install, but I am pessimistic after looking through the posts of people complaining of serious lag and the game just overall not being very smooth even on their IPAD mini's and IPAD mini 4's etc. This is a little disappointing because I was hoping that at least the IPAD 4 would be able to play this..even with the understanding that there would be a moderate amount of lag I was willing to pay, download, and play TQ...BUT, if even the suggested devices and even the somewhat upper end of the minimal required devices are still experiencing lag enough to make someone not want to play the game, I fear I would be wasting my money. So, has anyone at all tried this on an unsupported device such as IPAD 4 or IPhone 5? If so, what kind of lag or other issues did you have? Thanks in advance!

Also, anyone know if you force install...and do it through Ifunbox...is one still able to obtain a refund if so desired?

    Thanks again,

    Sid

I have the game but could not force install through ifunbox, it does not work , maybe need open up the app and edit the code inside.I dont think the lag is due to graphical issue, its all about the effort of developers in optimization when it comes to frame rate, if iphone 5 is able to run games like xcom, AC:identity and gta SA, Im pretty sure it will run this too.

I started reading through the pages but thought I ask...

Anyone else experiencing poor button tap recognition with this? I often find myself having to tap a button 2 or 3 times (only in this game) for it to register.

And while the graphics are beautiful they are a bit stuttery on my iPad Air.

    Game is still fun, though.

Control Issues in a Great Game

I know I'm going to spend a lot of time in this app. I've been waiting for a good iPad ARPG. But, I really wish the movement control was more like Wayward Souls - wherever I place my left thumb down is the center and then I drag to move. I'm constantly moving the wrong direction because my thumb has moved slightly off center.

Bit better performance (less stutter, better touch recognization) and Im pleased. There is definately stuttering in this game. I dont know why people write opposite (personal interest in selling lots of copies?) Even the intro sound cuts off due to the graphics....so please a bit more polishing and the game is okay. Ill rate it with 3/5 till then.
