Can't even purchase on ipad4 (apparently not compatable), running decent on iPad mini2, guessing 25-30 fps, however crashes after 20 min or so of play. Consumes battery faster than any game I can recall, and device definitely heats up when playing, even at low brightness. Not sure if power consumption, device temp, and crash are related, but I wouldn't doubt it. While the game is a fabulous mobile ARPG, other than being a port, there isn't really anything exceptional about the game, visually, that justifies its finicky behavior, limited compatibility, low frame rate on 'older' devices, nor it's apparent high rate of power consumption. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but wondering if there are still opportunities to optimize the iOS release.
I went ranger which is hunter and nature mastery. Its just archery and I saved up points to spec into wolves and have 2 of them with me at all times now, pretty cool. I am not that far, lvl10, but I have yet to see a single non yellow item.
Seriously?! Was going to download this but having doubts now - an iPad Air should not be considered old or minimal technology, it's less than 3 years old! I'm no newbie to the ever progressive nature (read: inbuilt technical obsolescence) of hardware and software but still - does anybody ever consider the number of devices that are produced/trashed every year due to 'needing the next cutting edge bit of kit'.....not to mention the cost to the consumer? I'm just as guilty of falling foul of the old 'ooh, shiny - I want!' consumerism and marketing traps but guess I'm just getting more jaded by it as I get older and the cost of more important things in life (ie kids!) eat up my disposable income. Rant aside, still a bit miffed why an iPad Air should be struggling with this - anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Im going to assume it's the 1gb of ram limitation. Remember this was originally a full fledged PC game not a simple mobile game designed with mobile in mind as priority. Although I don't remember how much ram people had on average during that time period.
Original TQ required a minimum 1gig ram for itself, not including OS, 1gig apple devices will definitely be running close considering how much of the game made it in to this port. I've seen some fluff that they left out for ram reasons but yea...
Average? Probably 512MB. A new box would have likely been 1GB. A high-end box from 2006 would have had 2GB at most. 4 hours in and I'm not playing TQ any more until there's an update. I'm on a 6S+ and the average frame rate is poor, I've had a couple drops to 1-2fps that it doesn't recover from, the game crashes now and then, and my battery runs about 2 hours before it's completely flat. I've restarted my phone a few times to see if it gets better and it doesn't. I can't believe this made it through DotEmu's testing. It's disappointing.
Never played before, like it a lot. Only issue is that it crashes maybe every half-hour. I'm on iPod Touch 6 top line, everything updated and closed out.
It's runs definitely just "okay" on my Air2, too. Framerate isnt stable and the screen is "jumping" sometimes. Didnt tried it on my 6S yet but according to some other users comments over here, it doesnt seem to get any better. Oh well.
Hmm, if ipad air 2 runs adequately, what about the ipad pro (either version)? Anybody had the luxury of comparing between ipad pros and another older device (air 2 or older)?
It's been running really well for me on my 9.7" iPad Pro. Played ~6 hours on it so far. I haven't been able to compare because my wife (who has an Air 2) doesn't play this kind of game and is busy playing Mekorama.
Same here. # When I try to play a game on my phone, it asks me to create a new save even though I can see the save data in my iCloud data. If I do create a new save, I then see 2 TW saves in my iCloud data. Just doesn't want to load the save from my iPad.
Like Diablo 2 without all the blood. You can find a ton of Titan quest videos online as this was a PC game a while back.
Never played the original but played similar games back when I was younger and I have to say that I am Insanly glad, that this game is premium! If you ever looked for a very good ARPG which is Diablo-like: get this game asap. Obligatory 5 stars here. Yay! But! Some issues: air 2 latest iOS. - sound is choppy and not queued very well, you hear, when it repeats again. - I have some choppiness sometimes even on my almost latest generation device. - picking up loot could be done better, as you have to move, to make the button recognize new interactions (same with attacking enemies while loot dropped etc) this should be fixed soon hopefully. Didn't get very far into the game yet (omw to Sparta) but I am having a blast. First proper Premium-ARPG on iOS since way back when (DH2?). Great!
iPad Pro 12.9 and iPhone 6 here. The game has slight stutters on both, more pronounced on the iPhone though. The stuttering in both cases is not enough to ruin any enjoyment of the game for me though. I actually think when I had the game installed on my old pc (3.2Ghz dual core, ATI 6870 and 4Gig RAM that it even had some slight graphic stuttering so perhaps it is a game engine problem??). The icons and controls and typing are all too small on the iPhone for my liking. Makes playing the game uncomfortable. The game is much more suitable for a tablet. Game looks gorgeous on both devices however. I'm really glad I have the large iPad to play this on. The game chews up battery like no other I have played. You need to keep your device plugged in if want to want play for any extended period on any device. For those having issues with iCloud saves. I noticed today that the save on my iPhone was older than the save on my iPad. However there was a red exclamation mark next to the save file. When I clicked it, it gave me a choice of saves. My current game was there so that might help some others.
