Still play this game after getting it on day one, not quite as often though. The full fever on island four objective is insanely hard. Hope to see an easier way to nest up than get all the objectives. Did the developer mention any more planned updates?
I agree, the 4th island always has super steep hills. The hardest part is keeping fever on the first hill coming from the previous island. It's definitely possible, but it's really really hard. With no planned updates in the near future, that last achievement keeps me interested in playing the game. With no planned updates in the near future, I'm in no rush to complete it either.
Yeah you don't come to island 4 at a steep enough angle to get the perfect slide on the first one, and even if you do its tough hitting so many steep perfect slides. I don't think ill be worrying about to much anyway with no updates coming soon.
I think the potential of this game, combined with its already gotten success, should be enough to keep the developer into this game, but I am pretty worried about the lack of news
Not really sure how the dev could add a major content update. With procedural graphics already in it, it is hard to have new worlds or modes without taking away from the simplicity that made the game so perfect in my opinion. (I would hate to see a doodle or retro art style for example.)
Weeks later and I still pick up this game and play it like it was new. This is the best minimalist game next to canabalt , but with way more replay value. Appstore always has that hidden gem. Oh and to Nathan McCoy( Wavespark developer) stop moaning already , its getting old.
Game Center needs to be fixed in this app. Sometimes it doesn't even connect. Then when I get a high score, it never registers and there's no way to upload them afterwards. Anybody else having problems like this?
I am at a bit of a plateau in this game. 30x nest achieved, high score of 278,712, and at this point I need to get to Island 9 to even have a chance of getting a top 32 score. I'm also finding that the daily course layout entirely affects my ability to get a high score. For instance, one day the course layout was favorable and I was able to get 3 of my highest 5 scores with relative ease. Other days I have a hard time even making it into the top 32. Some days I play a few games and realize I won't have a chance at the high score and just put it away until the next day. So, yes, I've reached the point in my skills where I've almost ruined the game for myself. ... and yet I keep playing.
Most people probably can't get last nest is because of Island 4. The key is to hit the first landing of the island and then the first landing after the shallow valleys. Those are the two toughest landings of the island. It's tough, but not impossible. I think it just takes trying over and over until that one improbable time when you hit them all right.
Just saw this on the paid promotion for faad. Isnt the promotion paid for? Seems kind of pointless for game that sat on the top spot for 2+ weeks. Anyone who checks faad will have seen tiny wings buy now.
