I must suck! I can't get past the 6th island and I'm stuck on 2 objectives: -get 10 slides on island 1 -get to the 5th island with no "fever" Anyway...great game!
Any tips on how to get the "Make it to Island 4 with no Great Slides" task? It's the only one I need for the 26x Nest I just can't make myself that bad. I've yet to get off the first island without one
I did that twice (iPhone and iPad) Glide your way across the islands like a penguin, hold the screen at every ramp, lift your finger a little nearing the end of the ramp and hold screen again just before the start of the next ramp. With a little practice you can do smooth glidings all the way. If you're impatient, you can soar your bird after a couple glides, but force it down such that it will not do a dip but get it into another couple glides instead. (Add: oh I got the #666 post of this thread =P)
He just purchased the Glenrothes single-malt scotch distillery, the Cohiba factory, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, and the state of Hawaii. He's tied up right now, please leave a message.
The camera zoom out during island jumps is what sells the game for me; it's exhilarating and is pretty rewarding after dealing with the hills. Quite the nice touch.
Is it sad that getting the 17s fever is easier than getting to Island 5 without one. I am really enjoying this game, the only improvement I can see is on the display settings and pause/resume menu. I wish I could see, Fever counter, coins collected, and perfect jumps at a glace either in the main game or the pause menu so I can track progress towards the achievements better. Also when the game resumes I wish it would display the menu that comes up when I hit the pause button. I also know this is going to be coming soon but more leaderboards is needed. I want to track my perfect jumps, and my longest fever as well as my score.
I love how we get something new every day. If it was just a color change, it would be cool enough, but to actually have a different layout every day is awesome. Sure, each island retains its overall feel from one day to the next, but they are not the same. Today, island six is just plain nasty, because there's a long chain of hills that are very oddly spaced and it took me several times to get through it cleanly, but yesterday and the day before it was a breeze. I also like how it's different for each iDevice and person. If a friend and I play this side by side, we each have totally different layouts and can swap each other's devices if we want a change. Love it.
I really love this game. i'm trying to - reach the 4th island without any -> - be 34s in fever mode too hard for me
Yeah im at that nest too....for the first one i read that you can advance going like a rollercoaster, hill to hill, slowly but it takes lots more of practice. 34 seconds in fever mode is realistic as long as you do so with and island change in between. I dont how many nests are there, does anybody know???
There are 9 nests. And you can do the no slide achievement after some practice. You have to keep holding the screen and only release for a split second when the bird is climbing up. This way you will move very fast but glued to the hills. Also, when you get a speed coin, make sure u land on the top of the hill
left my ipad around my daughter got hold of it and somehow deleted this game looks like im starting from 10x again after completing all of the objectives once already
Ouch @Howlingwolf! Though you'll probably be completing those objectives in no time. Second time is definitely easier. And I find playing on iPad easier than iPhone. I dunno why.
Like one of those Greek epics where the gods become mortal. Welcome back! (for a short time, I'm sure)
There is no "sure it's an iPod". It IS an iPod and, as such, there are some basic requirements for the platform, one of which is that you respect that it's an iPod first and foremost. For me, any game that doesn't play nicely with whatever I'm listening to is automatically deducted 1 star in my ratings. It's totally unacceptable game design for the platform. ----- That said, the success for another small dev is great and it is a good little game. I don't see it with any potential to keep Angry Birds off the top of the charts since it, by design, is a bit of a one-trick pony with seemingly little room to mix things up, but who knows?
