You'd think that with their status even 2.99$ games would sell? GeekyDad Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2012 1,173 0 0 Games Journalist #7 GeekyDad, Jul 11, 2012 Seems pretty typical of them, really. They usually give their games about 2-4 weeks before either dropping the price or going free. My guess is their strategy is phased, going ad-based after a certain period. Keep in mind, their parent company is EA now, so a lot of that is probably mandated through them. IAP games are usually really good. I've played this game that is free to play and download and has IAP, and you do not need to buy these extra gameplay enhancers to actually play the game. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #11 ninjackid, Jul 11, 2012 But this game's not free... it's 0.99 cents... regularly 2.99... An IAP button that looks like a shipping basket, which would you believe it flashes to get your attention... Good game, playable without IAP... The thing is here, What the gameplay and amasing maps give you is taken away by a distraction of the real monetary system so it's here and there. If I hadn't got this on my iPad would I recommend it to myself? Probably would at 69p. Good laugh if anything else but don't get sucked in to what they really want to use the sale for I doubt any one will be dissapointed though, those that have been sitting on the fence like myself that is. skeletonlord Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2012 529 0 16 United Kingdom #14 skeletonlord, Jul 11, 2012 I meant another game! awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #15 awp69, Jul 11, 2012 Had my eye on this when it first came out but was unsure with all the IAP questions in the main thread (and am plenty busy with other games ). Chillingo always seems to drop their prices nowadays, so glad I am starting to wait on titles like this and Air Mail. This game is great fun. It is easy to control with one touch movement, and one touch firing. Each mission has some goals and objects you can pick up. The store is a little confusing, but seems like you don't have to buy inapps, but I got no idea cause I haven't gotten very far. But for 99 cents, it is a good deal. Fun to play, and it is made very well. Highly recommended! kukouri Active Member Oct 27, 2011 32 0 0 Kotka, Finland http://www.kukouri.com #17 kukouri, Jul 12, 2012 Last edited: Jul 17, 2012 I find it extremely odd that people highjack threads to talk about IAP when this is the market right now. All those $ signs are games with IAP. While on the topic of IAP, lets discuss how bad games like Temple Run, Where's My Water, Angry Birds Space, Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope, Plaque Inc; DEAD TRIGGER and even Plants vs. Zombie are because they also have IAP. Someone mentioned that we had the audacity to have the IAP look like a shopping card that sometimes flashes. Should it have been a pineapple? A skull? A coin? We made it a shopping cart so you know right away that the button takes you to an IAP store, so if you don't want to buy IAP, you don't press that button. Had it been, well almost anything else, then you'd click it, then be in an IAP store, because we tricked you It does flash. That was theone and only super secret devious plan to get players to buy IAP. By sometimes flashing randomly during the mission briefings to draw some attention to it. Anywho. Check out this little clip exclusive we gave to IGM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-Md4fXRS2g We are putting out a Zombie Survival Mode update for Tiny Troopers soon for free. This mode was initially going to be an entirely separate game. We're big fans of score chasers and endless wave games. Pretty much all 93 hours there are played in The Last Stand mode, which is awesome. Chillingo publishes our game and has done a great job at helping us get it out to the public, however the game was developed entirely by us. We get the final call on pricing, but we also listen to Chillingo when it comes to what they think would be best for sale. For obvious reasons. We wanted to do a 4th of July sale awhile back, but it looked like we missed the deadline with an update (that we ended up not really missing, the update went live on the 4th ) So now, while we have the siteskin here at TA we decided to go ahead and try a sale now. Test the waters, see what happens. We've been doing ok at our current price, but maybe a sale will see us doing exceptionally. kinnth Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2009 56 0 0 #18 kinnth, Jul 12, 2012 This is a bad ass game. Worth picking up for 99c and IAP is not a requirement it just helps. Psykikgmr Well-Known Member Apr 10, 2010 327 0 0 #19 Psykikgmr, Jul 12, 2012 Last edited: Jul 12, 2012 This game is super. I finished the game without touching the IAP & the IAP is pointless - you really really really don't need it at all. Really really.
