I don't get swapping DJs in and out, just because it costs coins. To me, I'd rather keep that ~1000 coins than get one chip. Of course, this just highlights the issue that TT didn't have, which is not having a place to store applicants (residential floors) even when they're unemployed.
OTOH, I'm hoping that NB doesn't keep this limited stable of characters & "finds" for 15+ days until their special "Hallowe'en" elevator, roof, & lobby offer is over. It will be fun for a while but might have been more appropriate closer to Hallowe'en. Best is the 25 free bux given by the witch now & then, worst is the tiny rotten apple (try finding THAT on an iPhone 4s!). Meanwhile I miss the variety of missions doled out by the other characters in the game. More importantly, the reason for me to build more floors (in groups) is to find newer characters & the missions they present. What if I find them but can't use them because I'm in a themed period? After all, after Hallowe'en comes X-Mas... You may never upgrade, TRB4, since I highly doubt NB will go back to its initial pricing for floors & upgrades. If there were *never* another update would you never update to the current version? After all, they added the Hallowe'en theme without updating. How long are you willing to wait? Inquiring minds want to know. As for me, I decided to make my decisions about how to play based on what was fun for me. When the number of floors and/or the elevator becomes too expensive to upgrade & the game too tedious, I'll simply stop playing. Fun not finishing was my goal anyway. You've given this forum so much wonderful advice which is why I tipped you for so long, =well= after you didn't update, to repay your methodical, mathematically-based evaluations of optimum gameplay.
1000 coins is less than 1 minute of stock selling. 1 chip is worth more than 20 bux, which is worth way more than waiting 1 extra minute before starting construction on the next floor (the only thing you can spend coins on).
Thank you again for the praise Lisianne I would probably decide to update if NB added new casino games or some other new gameplay mechanic that actually ADDED something to the game. But as it stands now the only thing that the updates seem to have added was bugs and additional grinding time. I am still having fun playing on version 1.0.1 and I can't see myself having any more fun on version 1.1.1 Nice list Mojocuervo, but you forgot me 10TZM TRB4 Finally, on the subject of DJ stats: I have 30 floors that have employees. 16 of those floors have 3 gold star DJs. Of the remaining 14 floors all but 1 has 3 DJs, the last one has 2 DJs. I have dressed EVERY gold star DJ as a storm trooper, it looks cool and makes finding missions easier. I don't bother swapping DJs for chips, I just remove them from my lobby if I already have 3 golds.
You'd make 1000 coins in a minute if you have, what, 30 floors? More? I'm not there yet. Factor in that I also dress up my DJs and it just isn't worth it.
I'm enjoying the halloween theme, it's a nice touch imo. I do agree that it may drag on a bit after a few weeks, but hey it's just once a year. I don't find ht emissions so bad, most dislike looking for the young wizards as they tend to blend into my other characters.
It varies with time. When starting out, coins are a lot harder to come by than when you have 40+ levels. Chips on the otherhand, don't get that much easier to come by as you progress. I didn't use to swap out DJ's either until i got to about level 30, basically once the cost of giving someone a job became < 1 minute's wait. I don't swap out gold stars though, as they take a long long time to find, and I don't feel complete until each level has 3 gold stars.
I have been plugging along with my tower even though I have been pretty quiet on here. Busy time at work and all that. Anyway, I just made the jump to #TALEAGUE! My code is 1TR7 if anyone doesn't have me added yet. I'm going to make sure I have added the new team as well.

I strongly disagree. Let's consider each of the ways you can earn chips, and compare a bigger tower to a smaller tower. I have ordered these by how many chips I earn from each method: 1. Dream job bonus. Definitely more chips with a bigger tower, since the probability of getting an existing floor instead of ??? is higher. The arrival rate of new applicants is much higher than mission frequency, and the time it takes me to do the complete swap (DJ 9 --> empty slot, hire new DJ, fire new DJ, rehire DJ 9 back into their original job) is almost always much less than the time it takes to complete a mission. 2. Missions. There are several types to consider: a. Check in -- favors the bigger tower because you get more chips (1 for every 20 floors). The time to complete is pretty much the same unless you have a slow elevator in a big tower. b. Find people/objects -- I argue that it also favors the bigger tower because the increase in chips certainly outweighs any extra time it takes to find everything. Several of these missions are trivially easy (find one big thing) so not every mission takes "too long" to complete. c. Collect chips/bux -- no difference d. Win at a casino -- no difference e. Fully stock a floor -- no difference 3. Elevator tips. Pretty much the same for all tower sizes, assuming the probability of a tip is constant. Will cost more bux for rush stocking of casino floors if you employ the strategy of keeping them always fully stocked so that you get the chip bonus 100% of the time you land on one of those floors. You will need a faster elevator for a taller tower, and that also costs bux. But if you are earning more chips from the other methods, you will have more bux to spend on these things. 4. Stocking bonus. You will get more chips with more floors. I have all level 10 floors, so I have two main stocking cycles a day and I typically get ~10 chips each time. 5. Watching ads. No difference. I'm not going to count chips from friend tips because I spend the same number as I collect, so that's a wash. It also doesn't matter how big your tower is for these. I've mentioned this before, but I probably earn about 150-200 chips a day since I seem to get about 6000-8000 bux a day. That's easily enough to instantly upgrade every new floor to level 10 the moment it finishes construction, plus get an elevator upgrade every couple of floors or so. I know we've bitched and moaned about the cost of floor and elevator upgrades, but I'm not finding a problem in collecting chips and earning bux.
This list is great, and I corrected it last timeā¦ but no one noticed! The letter O's need to be ZEROES
