A suggestion regarding tipping back people to the devs:

Make it so that when you recieve a chip there's a button you press that takes you that person's tower so you can return a chip back. My friends list is maxed out so I can't add and tip new people that tip me. This would make it so that you don't end up with a huge list of people and you can tip back random players if you choose to.

I feel this would make it easier for people to return the favor and encourage people to tip more.

An indicator on your friends list on who tipped you that day would be nice too! This way I know who to keep on my maxed out list.

Even sarcasm can be funny! This made me laugh.

Do hope they're paying close attention to the comments of their players, in a good way: for example, having the "nickname" of the player come up instead of their code.

If, OTOH, they manage to make the game-playing more grinding, change the odds (to favor the house more), or add or increase the "how in world can I pay for that?!"-ish aspect of the game, I'm guessing they'll lose more players.

    2. Until I read a post by TRB4 yesterday, I was building floors just as soon as I had the coins. Now I'm trying to save my coins to buy multiple floors. That said, this is a less satisfying option for me since I simply don't like gambling that much so I may end up buying the floors but unable to upgrade them or the elevator.

OTOH, it's nice not to have to save certain VIPs & search through many floors to "find" someone/something. For now, that's well worth it!

I had the exact same problem with Vicsark at the bottom of my list so it would seem to be a bug. And, BTW, it took many tries

So it looks like the friend's list bug only affects you if you have EXACTLY 10 friends. You can test it even if you have more than 10 friends though. Just open your friend's list and try to scroll down just 1 row, so that the "Add a friend" button has scrolled off the top of the screen. The list will constantly jump back to the top making it impossible to select the 10th person in your list. Now try scrolling down 2 rows or more, no problem. So the bug only happens if you have exactly 10 friends.

Aww, I feel bad now. I haven't been checking up on this thread lately and you've been tipping me over the past few days. Earlier in the week when I tried to use the 'search this thread' function on your code so I can tip you back, it returned no results because it doesn't scan signatures.

What would everyone like to see in the next update?

    Here's what I'd like:

    1. A new way to accumulate coins.
    2. Long term missions like in the old TT.
    3. Customizable floors.
    4. Mission items made easier to click on. Or maybe its just me?
    5. Elevator speeds to be included in VIP package.

I push for 2, definitely. Maybe with rewards in chips?

    For me:

    1. Faster quests. I feel like I'm waiting for the elevator to happen, or I'm waiting for quests. I'm waiting all the time. It'd be cool if the quests had a time limit (i.e. Find 6 hats under 10 seconds) and you could play them anytime instead of waiting for them to happen.
    2. Automatic elevator. I'd pay real $ for that. I had watching the screen go blurry when I press the elevator button.

    I have Patty's Slots! NPCT

    I repeat, my code is:
    NPCT
    NPCT
    NPCT

Is anyone else having this problem?

Since I've decided not to build for a while, my coins have been accumulating. According to my coin display, I have 2.379M coins. Whenever I get a few coins here & there they do not show up. Eventually the 2.379 grows but it's not an ongoing thing. Prior to this, the coins showed up in my coin total when I got them.

Example: I just got three showers of coins & not a one registered.

Why might this be happening? And no, no way I already had 2,000,000 coins! If only...

Hopefully this is merely a "duh!" moment on my part.

If it's a bug, I've only managed to earn a paltry amount of coins today.

Anyone with an explanation of what's going on?

Should be because it rounds up to the nearest 1,000
So if your 'golden shower' is less than 1,000 then you won't see a 'tick'

Your post was so awesome, I decided to quote it so it gets seen again. I think all your strategies are pretty sound. I also have 22 floors, and am waiting before upgrading to 37.

Just one thing to add: Has anyone noticed that you can sometimes get chips from restocking a floor? I have 22 floors so I get 2 chips, but I'm assuming that you get 1 chip 21 floors and below, and 3 chips 37 floors and above, same as missions rewards. I'm wondering about the following things:

    1. Does the level of your store factor in how often you get the chip rewards? (i.e. the higher store lvl, the more likely you are in getting rewards)
    2. If no to question 1, does it even make sense to upgrade your stores? Why not just leave all your stores on lvl 1, and sure you lose in terms of money, but you'll need to restock more often, and have a higher chance of getting chips when that happens.
    3. What's the best lvl of store to upgrade to in order to have a good balance of chips and money?
    4. Is there a correlation between whether a casino store is stocked and how much you win?

    1. No, the level doesn't matter. However "quick stocking" will prevent you from getting chips, though manually speeding it up will still get you chips. Also, the amount of floors will increase how many chips you get tipped with in this manner (filling out suites too.

    2. Coins are hard to come by relatively speaking, and if you are playing enough to keep all your level 1 stores constantly stocked, then you are probably playing enough that you don't need that many extra chips.

    3. That is personal preference and entirely dependent on how much you play. Personally, I feel I get enough chips just from tips and quests that I don't need to rely on stocking stores to get them, so I'm trying to max all my floors out (level 10 is max).

I have noticed a lot of people complain about coins earned, but I do not seem to be having that problem (and I seem to have as many or more floors than they have). The reason I don't feel I have that problem is because I'm doing everything in my power to get all floors maxed out. I got all of my floors to level 7, and prioritize getting any new floors I get to 7, then focus one floor to 10 and move on to the next one. This means I have a near constant money flow that I don't have to babysit. I can sleep, work, play, whatever while constantly getting the maximum, or near maximum, amount of coins from my floors.

So in short, if you do decide to keep all you floors level 1 or low level, it will probably take you days to buy new floors when they start costing over a million coins each. And that happens at or a bit above floor 20 or so.

    4. No.

Great idea of an automatic "tip" button for people with maxed out lists. I've tried to keep mine small-ish but that might change some day. Further, it's always nice to reciprocate! It's as easy to win someone else's game anyway & it costs no more than playing one's own.

I just tip back in the evening. As I mentioned before, I simply keep a record of who tipped via my "Friends" screenshots.

I didn't know the search didn't do signatures. Thanks for the info. Still, I think it's a good idea for newer members of the forum/thread to be able to see without searching.

In that vein of "unsearchables," I have some "Unknowns" I'd like to give a name to:

    17SWV, M8QB, 3002, 15D0, 28YK, 2MC2, 12D3, 34V0.

I know that some people don't want to participate in the forum but DO play this or another game. Just send me a message, if you will; I won't share your info.

As a former TT player, I'd enjoy 2) long term missions.

In addition, since the most frustrating thing in the game for me is the molasses-slow pace of being able to upgrade one's elevator speeds given the ridiculous cost of upgrading, I definitely like your idea 5) elevator speeds in the VIP package or even its own package. This would be a non-consumable item. Some people prefer this type of IAP.

I like the other ideas as well but I just prioritized.

Can't believe how "duh!" I was on this! Although I figured out the answer myself, later, I do appreciate the kind, non-judgmental way you explained the numbering shortcut.

p.s.: Suggestion for NimbleBit. Please rethink using a Muslim-dressed bitizen as someone who is a thief ("Stealin' Rusty's Bucket!). Although I'm not a Muslim, I do think it's out of place in a witty, humor-infused game. Just a thought.

I think by stalling construction that you are reducing your potential for a third source of chips: dream job placement. I haven't kept track of how many chips per day I earn from these three methods, but my gut feeling is that the dream job chips are not an insignificant amount. My tower is now at 35 floors (34 built plus the lobby) and that means I have 27 floors that require employees. I think there are 84 possible non-suite floors so I have a 32% chance of getting a dream job for each applicant that arrives, and the taller my tower gets, that percentage will continue to increase.

When I get a dream job, I (almost) always remove my lowest ranked existing dream job and replace by the new one, even if it is a lower rank. The difference in re-stocking discount percentage is trivial compared to the value of that chip.

If I already have three 9s for a floor, and the new applicant is not a 9, I have to do a "shuffle":
    1. Move one of the existing 9s into an open slot on my newest floor.
    2. Hire the new applicant and collect the chip.
    3. Remove the new applicant and re-hire the 9 that I had saved in the other floor.

This method assumes that I have at least one open slot on a floor, and that's another reason why continuous building helps. When I open a new floor, I immediately upgrade to level 8 (2900 bux) and use the Deliveryman VIP to stock all three items. That gives me several hours to find dream jobs for that new floor, and in the meantime, those open slots can be used for 9s as described above.

Therefore, the only time I flush a non-??? dream job is when I have filled the three slots of every floor.

One other comment: I think you'll find that the game naturally slows down for you anyway, so you don't need to arbitrarily stop construction. The cost for new floors increases exponentially (#36 will cost me 2,680,000 coins) but the revenue from your existing floors increases linearly (at 36 coins/minute per floor). I currently average about 1.3 million coins a day from passive gameplay--letting floors sell their stock--and some amount I haven't computed from active gameplay-- working the elevators to get tips (perhaps 200 coins/min?) and working the suites to fill and checkout guests. A few days ago I was getting a new floor every 24 hours or less but now it's certainly less than one a day. Therefore, I'm generating more chips (and bux) from my active gameplay sessions--more than I need for the 2900 bux per level 8 upgraded floor. I now have enough bux per day to finish upgrading existing floors. I now have 14 level 10s (all casinos and suites), 9 level 9s, and 11 level 8s.

With my chip farming strategy from dream jobs, and the longer time it takes to generate revenue for new floors, I expect that I will soon have all existing floors at level 10 and will easily have 5900 bux ready for every new floor so that it always gets upgraded to level 10 immediately after completion. In a few weeks when 60% or more of applicants can generate dream job chips for me, bux will not be a problem.

Oh, and by the way, I have not spent a single dime on IAP for this game. I will do so when I've finished as a thank you, but for now I consider it a challenge to complete the game without any IAP and I love that challenge!
