    Fun Fact:

If a friend has the current event casino under construction, you can still play. Their floor level text will show in green on the friends list, same as if the floor was complete.

Does anyone know if you can play at your own floor under construction if it is the event floor?

I think so since others cannot see the items you have stocked.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of this observation, but I seem to be noticing that the more you increase your elevator speed, the faster guests show up to your elevator.

For the longest time I was prolonging upgrading my elevator because I figured "It's fast enough, and it's not like the next person is showing up right away. So it wouldn't help me get any more guests per minute." My elevator was at 3.0 FPS.

But then i started upgrading my elevator, it is now at 4.75 FPS, and I almost always instantly get someone in my elevator every time it comes back down. Every once in a while i have to wait 10-20 seconds for someone to enter my elevator, but usually it is right away.

So it seems that increasing your elevator speed not only allows you to climb floors faster, but it also increases the frequency of elevator riders. I am now earning chips at a pretty brisk pace. While actively playing I earn about 100 chips an hour.

I started with a pile of about 600-700 chips plus whatever I earned over the 3.5 days. But if we assume that a chip is worth 15 bux then it's well over 4000 chips.

so I don't need to level up the casino floors right? I upped my pyramid poker to lv 5 when it was the event for the online clubs so it would last overnight. But it cost a lot of bux and since I'm a little perfectionist I have this tendency to level all floors to lv 5. But if players can play the casino even if the items are out of stock, then I plan not to level up the future casino floors.

whoa, is it possible to accumulate that much in only 3.5 days? how long did you play TTV each days?

Is the tapping on 'stand' after getting a natural 21 still a way to get double the winnings? I have yet to get this to work... maybe I'm just a slow poke...

I only remember the top two. I was first, and you were second Lorena. That was at about 5 minutes before the end of the contest. I'm kicking myself, because I paused for a 1/2 second and thought I should take a screen shot of the leader board. DOH!

Maybe some of the other folks in #TA1 will remember the other places.

Hey guys! 35 floors and counting! :)

I did some player club hopping trying to figure out how to get the most out of it but it looks like the prizes aren't worth going for except if they coincide on what you're doing currently.

For me, since I suck at the poker game, I find playing poker just to get placed better in the club isn't worth putting in the tokens. I get more bux out of playing 21 or slots and the reward for placing (even in if top30 in the first club) isn't really incentivizing. I just decided to get the three roofs and then join a lower ranked club so I dont have to struggle or buy chips to stay in the top30 for the 25 or 10 extra chips. I mean, if you're buying chips already then what's the point in placing anywhere in the top anyway? Even though you're probably going to if you buy 1000 chips and spend it all on the current player's club game:)

I'll probably get the bronze roof this time, and then just stay in #TOUCHARCADE1. There's no real incentive to stay at the top. I was lucky I got the game before release so getting the gold roof was much easier since there wasn't much competition. As it stands now, you kinda have to buy it.

I really dig the kind of social aspect it brings though. Adding random people and exchanging tokens is oddly satisfying.

God I hate slots. I'm letting you down #toucharcade3. I'm guessing poker is up next; I'll make it up then.

It totally still works! But you need to be very fast. If you're way too slow nothing happens. If you're almost quick enough than the "Stand" button will be grayed out on your next deal. If you're fast enough the dealer will reveal his card and possibly even hit AFTER you've already won a natural 21.

You can tell it worked if you see the dealer draw a card during your congratulations screen (if they have less than 17), or the dealer's 2nd card is already revealed after you dismiss the congratulations message. If you got the timing right you will be presented with a 2nd congratulations message for either another 21 win or a push if the dealer also got 21.

One time things got really messed up though, I had the "Hit", "Stand", and "Deal" buttons all showing at the same time. I hit the "Stand" button and got a double win on the hand that just ended. It was really weird and I haven't triggered that again.

    Here are a few photos:

The first picture shows the dealer has revealed his 2nd card even though I got 21:

The second picture shows the dealer has busted even though I got 21:

I was trying to get a picture of a 21 push result, but sadly during my 100 chip blackjack run it didn't happen. But it can and has happened to me on multiple occasions. It is actually a good thing that it didn't happen, because it means 65 less chips, but I actually wanted it to happen for proof.

EDIT: Here is a picture of what happens if you're almost quick enough, notice the grayed out "Stand" button:

Does anyone know if there is a way to see who has tipped you each day? I would love to see a log of who is tipping me. For one it would let me know who doesn't reciprocate tipping, and two it would allow me to make sure that I tip back new people who add me. I usually write down the code of people who tip me when they aren't already on my friend's list, but this morning i was in a hurry trying to play real quick before work and I tapped accept on a tip too quickly without writing down the code. So now I can't tip that person back and I feel bad about it. I wish there was a way to look those things up.

Also, I feel that many of the people that i have recently added and have been tipping daily may be using the "Accept All" option when collecting tips, and as far as I know, that doesn't display all of the new people who aren't on your friend's list. So i think those people may be accepting my tips, but may be unaware that they are not tipping back.

    EDIT: Also, post 1000 woo!

    Somewhere else
You're not the first or only one to express such concerns. It is a much more time-consuming game than TT. My biggest worry is that I'll simply be overwhelmed by the time (to earn bux/coins) factor to want to proceed.

People talk about leveling up their stores, suites, or game floors to high levels but what goes unmentioned is how much it costs in time/effort (or real money) to "progressively" update!

Example: At one point, I asked how much someone's update of their elevator to 8.25 cost. The answer: 12,800 bux (which doesn't count the updates prior to that!) A $4.99 contribution to the devs could only buy 10,000 bux, or not enough for that speed!

Now, it's a bit misleading for it seems as if one is constantly showered with coins, earning bux, or getting coins for this or that but what I've found is that it takes a hard, concerted effort to proceed. Either that or making continual IAPs of consumables (the most insidious type of IAP, IMO). I mean, look at what $4.99 won't buy!

My concern about burn-out is borne out by some of my "Friends" simply stopping their game play as judged by the static nature of their bux/floors. I, too, worry that the game will lose its luster. I never had this concern before with a NB game & I've played (& contributed) to PF, TT, & PP (the latter 2 were IAPs of gratitude).

Wow! You put a lot of time & effort into studying the game play & writing that post & another one which follows. Kudos for your mathematical analysis as well as superb writing skills. You had some great teachers in school!

I also appreciated that you put your user code in your sig. So much easier than looking you up to give thanks for your effort!

    Not that I know of.

I'd like to see some sort of visual representation of which of the folks on my friends list have been tipping recently. Maybe using coins on the friends page to denote consecutive days of tipping? The number of coins could slowly increase with each consecutive day, and if you miss one day it'll slowly decrease. That way if you miss a day or two, it'll just lower your "rating" a bit. But if someone leaves the game, it'll eventually get down to a level low enough that you'll know you can remove that person from your friends list.

Just some thoughts. What would you folks like to see?

I love Mojo's rating idea. It would be very useful to see who is actually tipping back.
