It'd be nice if there was a way to keep unemployed people like in the original. I got an applicant who's a dream jobber with a 9 for a floor I have, but I don't want to kick out anyone because they also have good stats. So I have to just leave them there taking up space in the lobby.
Think the ruthless approach works best here, just kick out the weakest person in there. I do find that this game requires different strategy to the TT & TDS in terms of getting DJ's. In fact i'd argue there's not much strategy at all, just a case of waiting for luck.
I wish there is a way to identify people rather than making a name up for them. We should be able to define a handle that gets gifted together with the player code. In other news, has anyone figured out if a store earns at the same rate whether it is fully stocked or only stocked with one item?
Unlike TT & TDS i'm pretty sure each item sells at a constant rate. As such a fully stocked store sells at a rate 3x that of a store stocked iwth only 1 item. It's pretty easy to verify, as you can visibly see the sales rate increase whenever you restock on item.
I agree completely about the signature. It's not so bad adding people on the forums, but I never know who these random people adding me are. As for your question, it earns more with more stock. In fact, you can see so at the top of your screen with the "coin/min". It'll show you are earning more coins per min by having all three things stocked, opposed to having two, and more so than just one.
I'm at the point where it's taking forever for me to be able to build a floor. I honestly don't have the time to check the game all that much or wait for the VIPs to come through. So my waits are really really long. I don't think I've built a new floor in three days now. As opposed to TT which I restarted the same day as ttv and I'm able to build a floor a day (if not more) checking in at the same exact time as the other game. I love the TTV look and it's fun but I'm almost afraid to see how long I'll be waiting for floor 20 when I hit that. I'm hoping my interest doesn't vanish before that. Just a vent post. Don't know if anyone else feels the same way. ^.^
Thanks guys, always nice to have suspicions verified. and yes, i feel the same way, coin earning rate feels MUCH slower than TT. and with the fact that we flush out our lobby at a good rate its pretty easy to stock up on -3 builders so once the floor is bought its almost an instant build...almost. maybe need to intro a big spender VIP like in TT that just drops big coin on a casino floor? relative to the casino level of course.
Every single item, regardless of floor type or floor level, sells at a constant rate of 12 coins per minute. So a fully stocked floor will provide 36 coins per minute. Increasing the level of a floor only improves how many of each item can be stocked at a time. Item 1 sells for 1 coin each every 5 seconds, or a rate of 12 per minute. Thus 12*1=12 coins per minute. Item 2 sells for 2 coins each every 10 seconds, or a rate of 6 per minute. Thus 6*2=12 coins per minute. Item 3 sells for 3 coins each every 15 seconds, or a rate of 4 per minute. Thus 4*3=12 coins per minute. Since all 3 items produce the same profit it is smarter to always stock the lowest item first. That way you can start selling quicker, because item 1 has a shorter restock timer than items 2 & 3, and you'll be able to make money while you're waiting for items 2 & 3 to restock.
I've put alot of effort into employing level 9 workers for all floors. I see no payoff. Does this increase productivity, or anything?
Also, regardless of floor level, item 1 will always sell out 4 times faster than item 2, and 9 times faster than item 3. Item 1 will restock in 1/3 the time it will take it to sell out, or 1/6 the time if you have a dream job. Item 2 will restock in 1/6 the time it will take it to sell out, or 1/12 the time if you have a dream job. Item 3 will restock in 1/9 the time it will take it to sell out, or 1/18 the time if you have a dream job. For example let's look at a level 10 shopping floor with 3 dream job employees (employee stats are irrelevant). Let's assume that you used the quick stock option from the lobby to stock all 3 items at the same time. Item 1 will have a quantity of 7200 which will sell at a rate of 12 per minute, 7200/12 = 600 minutes or 10 hours. It will take 100 minutes to restock. Item 2 will have a quantity of 14400 which will sell at a rate of 6 per minute, 14400/6 = 2400 minutes or 40 hours. It will take 200 minutes to restock. Item 3 will have a quantity of 21600 which will sell at a rate of 4 per minute, 21600/4 = 5400 minutes or 90 hours. It will take 300 minutes to restock. So during a 4 day period you would be able to make the following raw profits (ignoring restocking fees and employee discounts) on each item in a level 10 store with 3 dream job employees: Without starting with quick stock: Item 1 - 59184 coins (8.22 cycles) Item 2 - 63648 coins (2.21 cycles) Item 3 - 65448 coins (1.01 cycles) Starting with quick stock for first stock only: Item 1 - 60264 coins Item 2 - 65952 coins Item 3 - 65520 coins As you can see, if you can time it right, item 2 can be just as profitable as item 3 if you start with a quick stock. Although if we increased the time period, I'm sure item 3 would come out ahead overall. These numbers also assume that you are ordering/restocking the split second those options become available, which would require you to wake up in the middle of the night to do. But, if you were so dedicated you could expect to make about 15000 coins a day per item with a level 10 store with dream job employees. I'm not sure if anyone actually cares about all of these numbers, but I felt like doing the math so I might as well share it with all of you.
Hey guys! Please add me, will try to visit all of you daily. I have the fishing slots on my first floor!!! My code : 12F6 Cheers
A workers skill determines what kind of discount you get on purchasing stock of all items on that floor, at a rate of 1% per skill. So a 0 skill worker gives 0% discount, while a 9 skill worker gives 9% discount. Dream jobs double the stock of one item, which is virtually a 50% discount for that one item. So having 3 level 9 dream job workers (3 gold stars on that floor) would give you a 27% discount, and then twice the goods. It should be noted that a worker with 0 skill is always better to have working on a floor that is their dream job over one with 9 skill and it not being their dream job.
An employee's stat provides you with a 1% discount on restocking per stat point of the appropriate color. So for example say you have a floor with 3 level 9 employees, you will receive a 27% discount on all item orders when restocking. So the smallest discount would be on item 1 of a level 1 floor. It would cost 10 coins to restock, so with your discount you would save 3 coins. The highest discount would be on item 3 of a level 10 floor. It would cost 3000 coins to restock, so with your discount you would save 810 coins. So as you can see, the benefits of employee stats are pretty worthless. On the other hand, a dream job employee will double the stock of an item, but the price will remain the same. So effectively each dream job employee gives you a 50% discount on restocking. So a level 9 employee gets 9% discount vs. a level 0 dream job who gets 50% discount. Having 3 level 9 dream job employees is equivalent to getting a 63.5% discount on all items. So you're only gaining an additional 13.5% discount by having level 9 dream job employees vs level 0 dream job employees. This is why I have recommended always swapping any silver dream job employee with any other silver dream job employee regardless of stats. the free chip you gain is always worth it. Heck, if you aren't a sucker for those gold stars next to your floors I recommend swapping ALL dream job employees for the free chip, even level 9's. I've actually decided that I am going to always swap out my item 1 employee with a dream jobber every time for the chip. It is essentially the only way you can purchase chips with coins.
Don't have any friends and I'm looking to make some--add me! 1CM28 Where do the gold stars come from? I have three dream job bitizens working at Sahara, but their levels are 0, 4, and 8 and the stars are silver. So it IS better to always swap in dream job bitizens, regardless of their level?
You get a gold star for each level 9 dream job you have. Since dream job bitizens stats matter even less (effectively 0.5% per stat point) level 9 isn't that special to me anymore. I always swap dream jobs whenever I get one in my lobby. The important thing is that each floor HAS 3 dream job employees regardless of stats. EDIT: Also I just added you, and I won 500 bux from your slots
Thanks. Seems silly they'd put such little payoff towards something like putting the best employees in each shop.
