I've got 17 floors now with 4.50 FPS, and I feel like it's just fast enough. I can't imagine what it would be like with 50+ floors with the same FPS though. I feel like 1.25-1.50 FPS per every 5 floors or so is ideal. I don't know what the limit is, but I certainly do miss my Lightspeed elevator from Tiny Tower.

I have a question of my own though. Does anyone have a list of floors anywhere? Or if not, does anyone know if there happens to be a Sushi Bar and/or Arcade floor?

Yeah, I am starting to think that I will upgrade my elevator .25 per floor in my tower. So now that my tower is 13 floors, my elevator should be 3.25 FPS. That way, no matter how tall your tower is, it will always take 4 seconds to reach the top.

I think I an also going to stop constructing new floors for a while and concentrate on maxing out my current floors. Then I plan on building a new floor and maxing it out before I build the next floor. All level 10 tower here I come!

I'm not sure why you need to make that decision. You use coins to construct new floors, but you use bux to upgrade them. So if you stop building new floors, the coins will accumulate with nothing to spend them on. Might as well build a new floor when you can.

    Good Current List for Toucharcade

Hey I'm enjoying this little app. I've almost got all 19 of my floors to Lvl 8 upgrade. It's getting tougher and tougher to do without investing money. I'm patient though. With a little luck in the casinos I just may be able to get them all to max 10 without spending a penny. Is there a good recent list of active players that visit your tables and tip? I write down who visits me and I add them to my friends list. I keep it fresh and I could add 40 more no problem!!

    Thanks,
    Chris (R99P)

By the way...has anyone discussed the idea of passing up Dream Jobs and not getting the chip vs. paying the money to hire a Dream Job? This is when you already have the 3 Dream Jobs on the floor. Is that poker chip worth the cost or does it just slow down your money and floor building?

In order to gain bux for upgrades, you need chips. To reliably get chips you either do missions, fill dream jobs, or deliver people to a fully stocked casino floor.

Any find whatever missions are obviously easier with less floors, so that is one reason to stop expanding.

Also, there are 5 types of floors, but only Casino floors reliably give chips. At 13 floors I currently have 3 casinos, or roughly 23% of my floors are casinos. If I expand, for the next 3 new floors my ratio of casinos to floors will drop to 21.4%, 20.0%, and 18.75% respectively. Until I build floor 17 at which point it will increase to 23.5%. But that is 4 floors of construction, and it hardly changes the ratio I have now.

Also, more floors equal a slower overall elevator.

Finally, it is cheaper to use the quick stock option when I start playing if I have less floors to stock.

Those are my reasons for stopping expansion. I am really only interested in earning chips, and conversely bux right now and as far as I can tell having more floors will in no way increase the speed at which I can earn chips.

Just a quick note, that the more floors you have the more you earn on those side missions: find this, or those guys, etc...

The chips increase in 1 every 20 floors:
    From 1 to 19: 1 chip
    From 20 to 39: 2 chips
    From 40 to 59: 3 chips
    ...

    just an FYI. :)

Fair enough. Keeping casino floors fully stocked is a great way to farm chips, as you always get one for delivering an elevator passenger to a fully stocked casino floor. Since casinos are the first floor to be built in the "cycle", you could pause at 16 floors. You'd have four casinos (25%) and three each of hotel/restaurant/shopping/entertainment.

But also, as Mojocuervo observes, you start to get 2 chips for the "finding missions" upon your 19th floor, and I believe that's significant enough to justify building to that point.

Putting these two together, perhaps 21 floors is a good point to pause. You'd have 5/21 casinos (23.8%) and would get the 2-chip return for finding missions.

Also, the more floors you have the more often you can replace one dream jobber with another from the lobby. That lobby is constantly full, and will eventually be a way to rack chips at a quick pace.

Thanks for the info about the mission chip increase at 20 floors. Also I miss calculated the odds, I counted the lobby as a floor. So I think getting to 21 floors and then stopping would be the best idea for now. It would allow me to get the 2 chip mission reward and put my casino ratio at 25%. So now I can start spending my 1.6 million I have banked.

The lightspeed elevator is 21 FPS. I just switched over to original TT for the first time in months to check it out. That's ok when you're going to floor 200, but for my little 21 floor Vegas tower very impractical It would take 80 upgrades from the 1 FPS that comes with the tower. Wonder what that would cost.

Is that the last upgrade or the last upgrade which doesn't make the player faint dead away?;)

BTW, guys, here it is at almost 7:00 p.m. chez moi & all my "Friends" I gifted yesterday are still marked dark. The only gifts I have been able to send today were to new people who befriended me.

Last night, around 9ish or so, they turned light & I gifted but having to wait so long to reciprocate is tedious. Contrary to popular opinion, I don't live in Australia.

Does anyone else have this time constraint?

NB: I know one can only receive 1 gift/day from a person but can you explain WHY I'm limited to gifting in the late evening?

Thanks a ton for that info. Is this a complete list or just what's known so far? Going by the site I would say only what's known so far.

I do hope there is a full on sushi bar like in Tiny Tower (it was my first floor in that game, and coincidentally my favorite food). Or if there isn't maybe they'll add one in an update.

So I've been trying to figure out the whole syncing issue, and I notice it's not just effecting my playing between the ipad and iphone. When friends visit my tower, it only has the last 'saved' version that they can see. While that might not be a huge deal, both my kids play on their itouches and for several days when they first got the game, I couldn't visit them at all (would just give an error, not found). My wife and I had the same problem with our games on our phones, til we left the house and were playing through a cell network and we could then see each other's towers up to date.

I have had my tower sync between devices on our wifi, just not consistently and more often than not, it wouldn't sync.

I hooked my kids up through a hotspot on my phone instead of our home wifi, and bingo - both towers showed up in the friends list. It's been 4-5 days since I did that, and both their towers are showing as they did that one time they sync'd up 4-5 days ago, with no new progress.

I just hooked up my daughter's touch to a hotspot again on my phone a few minutes ago, and suddenly her tower is up to date in the friends list again.

My wifi at home is solid, no other issues, so it's not a connection issue. Works fine for online gaming, streaming, etc, and I use it heavily every day.

When my ipad and iphone were syncing correctly, I was out of town that weekend and using cellular networks instead of wifi.

There is clearly an issue with some wifi networks, at least when multiple people (4 in this household) are playing on that network. Our wifi runs through a Netgear R6300 router.
