The only way i have found to find the less populated groups is to join the LOWEST group you see on the world standings (#7 if you aren't in a group yet) and then check the world standings again, you'll be able to see the next 3 clubs below you. Join the lowest one and repeat until you get where you want/need to be. During the last event I was able to get a bronze roof and 10 chips with a single win at Pyramid Poker by joining a club in the #95 position about 30-40 minutes before the event was over. The club only had 1 member so I was automatically in 2nd place in the club with a mere 10 bux of winnings. The prizes for these events are ridiculously small, the top 30 members in the #1 ranked club only get 50 chips and a purely cosmetic bragging right. Considering that it costs thousands of chips to get into the top 30 in the #1 ranked club, those people aren't winning much. But if you don't really care about the bragging rights, you can join a club with less than 30 members that is super low ranked in the top 100 and get 10 chips for as little as 1 chip spent, which is a pretty good profit overall.
I am receiving the blue gift box, but nothing happens when I click the box. I don't think I am getting the tips and I can't see who is giving the tips. Is there anyway to fix this? I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the game. I am code 10KB.
I've had the same issue before. IIRC, I just signed up to a club but did not have any friends added (although others may have added me). I got the blue gift but clicking did nothing other than a sound effect. Next day I populated my friends list and since then blue gifts worked. If you're in a club and have a friends list, I'd say give it a day for whatever syncing needs to happen.
After the first event: Dino Poker in the first Toucharcade1 league, here are the first winners: 1: BADSANTA (6H6V) 25 p 2: LORENA (10FR) 18 p 3: JMACJMAC (444B) 15 p 4: MOJOCUERVO (1XHX) 10 p 5: OISOYBOY (2CD4) 7 p 6: SUMMER17 (2FPS) 4 p 7: VICSARK (2HJH) 2 p Keep your chips rolling!!
Another tool from that website: http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/hand-analyzer/ Basically enter in your hand and it will tell you what to hold. After a while you'll get a feel for what to keep and not. Hope that helps!
I wish those standings also listed how many chips were used to reach that amount. It would be interesting to see what it takes to compete at that level.
I would infer that the developers believe that 1 chip is worth 15 bux, because you get 30 bux for a win at blackjack (which pays even money in real life--your original bet plus the same amount in winnings) and 15 for a push (equivalent to getting your original bet back in real life).
Thanks for that insight. I suppose that is a good base line to use. Now I just need to figure out if slots and poker pays out better or worse than 15 bux per chip average.
I would say that the event winnings should be treated solely as icing on the cake, not an end goal in itself. Your primary goal in the game is to add floors to your tower, which requires coins (or bux). To get more coins, you need bux to upgrade your existing floors, hurry stocking to earn coins sooner, add guests to your suite floors, etc. And to get more bux, you need chips to gamble with, earned mostly from elevator work and from completing missions. So if you are going to be gambling anyway to turn your chips into bux, why not gamble exclusively for the current event? The only downside is that you are playing one specific game type only, but you are certainly working towards the primary goal of the game anyway, which is to expand your tower.
Exactly this. Poker is my least favorite casino game and I would rather not waste my chips there. Black Jack seems to have the fairest odds, at the cost of the lowest payouts, and Slots is an entirely luck based affair so YMMV.
My gut feeling is that the slots are "looser" than in real life. For poker, here are the usual payouts for "jacks or better" games, per unit wagered: Royal Flush 250 Straight Flush 50 Four of a kind 25 Full House 9 Flush 6 Straight 4 Three of a kind 3 Two Pair 2 Jacks or Better 1 These numbers would be added to your original wager for your total payout. For example, if you bet $5 and got a flush you would get $35 back: your original bet plus $30 winnings. With that in mind, here are the chip to bux conversions: Royal Flush 19.9 Straight Flush 29.4 Four of a kind 23.1 Full House 30.0 Flush 28.6 Straight 25.0 Three of a kind 18.8 Two Pair 13.3 Jacks or Better 5.0 Not really a pattern there... I also have a feeling that the poker play is not true-to-life. I've pulled out some miracle hands that never seem to happen in real life, so I think there may be some "under the hood' application logic to reward the player more than normal. If not, then I've had several bouts of good luck!
But if you're using the "PUSH" in Black Jack to calculate the value of a single chip to bux 1 Chip = 15 Bux Also, according to you the payouts for poker are usually displayed as a multiplier and then your original bet is added to it. So then wouldn't the payouts for poker be the following: Royal Flush 332.33 Straight Flush 99.0 Four of a kind 39.0 Full House 19.0 Flush 12.33 Straight 7.33 Three of a kind 4.0 Two Pair 1.66 Jacks or Better -0.33 So for Jacks or Better if you bet 1 chip (15 bux) you would win -5 bux plus your original wager for a total of 10 bux?
My computations work as follows: Royal Flush pays 5000 bux whereas in real life you would have 251 chips (bet plus winnings) so 5000/251 = 19.9 bux per chip Jacks or better pays 10 bux compared to 2 chips so that would be 5.0 bux per chip
Question! I get a lot of bitizens with crappy stats but who also happen to have a dream job at one of the floors I have. What's the way to go here? Are they worth more to me because of the match up with the dream job? Do the stats break the deal? So far, I've occasionally fired the weakest link of the three employees on the floor in question, hired the dream job bitizen for the chip, and then fired him in favor of an employee with better stats. Code: 50K2 Add me!
In the lobby, what do the coins mean below the applicant stats? They fluctuate between 1 and 4 coins... Oh, and add me: 1244B
I think that is a representation of how much it will cost to hire the bitizen on one of your floors, based on the total of their overall stats.
Yeap, that's it. The less coins, the less it costs to hire that person. On a side note, #toucharcade1 rocks!!! 2BB3
