What's your take on betting individual chips VS grouping them in 3s, 5s or even 10s? Which one has more payout? Also, add me, I have Pyramid Poker!
They really do need a rename feature. It gets a little tedious to have to delete someone, retype their code, and rename them.
There's no real advantage. Spending 10 chips at once is 10 times the payout if you win. So it's really a question of which scenario would annoy you more: Spending 10 Chips and not getting anything or Spending 1 Chip, getting a Royal Flush and forever thinking "Hey, I'd have won 50,000 Bux if I'd just spent 10 Chips that one time ..."
Hey BD72![\b] The same thing happens to me as well, no floors visible in your tower, although I did get your chip
Not sure what you mean by 2s & 7s, 3s & 8s. Must be "duh" moments on my part. Please explain. Totally agree. To add to this, we live in a virtual world of sequels: movies, TV show variations (CSI [name the city]), books, etc. If I don't want to see a Re-re-re-return of Batman, well, that's my option. Can't fault the studios for wanting to make money. I don't begrudge NB from putting out still another variation (counting the disastrous Disney modified previous one, SWTDS). And, so far, it is "freemium-friendly" or at least appears so as one is constantly showered with coins, given "bux" for the tiniest thing, & [players having a decided advantage over the house in terms of "gambling." I don't criticize the players for joining a pre-existing, successful team. What's their option? Starting another team & hoping people, somewhere, would join & play 24/7? Further, 5 chips is nothing for 3 1/2 days of play on NB's part & a clever way to spread the game while gently coaxing users to "buy" more chips. BTW, given all your tips on probability, I wonder what your background is! Stockbroker? Mathematician? And thanks for adding you have the current Pyramid game in your sig. Agree. Thanks for the tip (or did it come from Standardization?) about how to rename. That was a question that was puzzling me since I received two gifts yesterday from codes I didn't recognize (thanks guys!!) so I named them variations on "Unknown." Now, if I find out their names, I'll delete & add as you suggested. Rhetorical question: why does the last bitizen/item I try to find take forever? BUG FOR NB (at least in my game): I was to give 5 or so Storm Trooper nerds accommodation. I went WELL beyond the number specified, even watched as the "1" remaining remained until I was about the skip before I gave up. Unless the number was about 15-20 & I misread, this is a problem.
And I think you may tip someone again after you delete him then friend him again. At least their name is highlighted again. Small glitch? To be verified! Imho the most useful thing to add for the friends stuff would be to ask each player for an in game name. That name would appear next or instead of the code when you tip someone else: "You've been tipped 1 chip by TA1 Vicsark (2HJH). Add him to your friends list?" The dubious club which was #1 with 5 million coins is out. Hackers obviously. Thks NimbleBit for policing the leaderboards!
That's the floor number that they'll be when you build one. A Casino always appears as New Floor #2, #7, #12, #17, etc. 2s and 7s. That actually doesn't work, though - at least not joining the BEST team. Unless you place in the Top 30 within that team, you're going to end up with that same 5 Chip consolation prize even if you team as a whole was #1 in the world. So you can't sneak into a high place team in the last few hours and walk away with a prize (unless you've got chips of your own to spend). Riding the coattails of a lower team (say like 5th place) will probably work to get you the Silver prize, and right now a dozen friends could easily make their own team and get the Bronze prize as long as a couple people in the team are active. Unless the 'special guest' is being dropped off at a Suite or Hotel (white) floor, they don't count. The number only counts down when they actually stop at a White floor, so you can easily drop off 10 or 20 in other places before they figure out where the Hotel floor is.
It's ok to remove applicants to expect new ones with dream jobs appears? Or does it affects something?
What are you guys' strategy for lobby management for the long run? My current tower (2CC1) consists of entirely either bitizens of various skill levels in their dream job and those 9-skilled bitizen with unknown proper dream job. And my lobby is currently full queueing 5 bitizens with 9 skill in their ??? dream job. Is it better to just remove these potential future gold-starred bitizens from the lobby in favor for a chance to get silver-starred bitizens in the present jobs? Edit: Welp, someone has the same idea as mine I immediately remove someone with less than 9 skill in their dream job if I don't have their dream job in my tower. The problem is my lobby and tower is eventually full with these 9-skilled dream job bitizens. The lobby priority for me: - 9 Skilled bitizens in their proper dream job and you have their dream job - Any bitizens with dream job you currently have - 9 Skilled bitizens in their proper dream job but you don't have their dream job - VIP (-3 hours build, then the full book, the full stock, and lastly the checkout all) - Any other bitizen
Hello, BD72 here... Sorry for jumping in late on the board here. -shy wave- Thanks for the heads up, that sounds like a bug... I do have 10 floors. Does it also list only one floor on the friends list? Or only when going to visit my tower?
