Indeed. #TouchArcade is pretty 'top heavy' in terms of Bux. From what I can see from my vantage point, I'd say the Top 15 players make up close to 80% of the Bux score. So a lot of players riding on the coattails of the high-level Clubs are going to end up with the consolation 5 Chips. Unless the roof changes for higher-level Clubs, though, there's no major difference between being Club #1 or Club #100 as long as you're in the Top 30 of your respective Club. 50 Chips generate pretty quickly through standard play, especially in a small tower with fully stocked Casino floors.
I would be interested in a screenshot or numbers of the top 7 players in TA and TA2 btw if anyone could post them There's the -not lasting- fact that some players have beta tested or played in the soft launch and have already huge towers. This discrepancy will dwindle in the next few weeks. I made a 5k score while playing only since the launch thursday, and so have many others. So I guess with a bigger tower, it's easy to have 20k scores or more! TA2 must be between #8 and #16. TA1 is #20. And TA3 is around #30. TA being #1. Yay Toucharcade! \o/
I gambled for the sake of knowledge, figuring that even at this late date I could "hop between" various other Clubs and return to my own without losing my points. (This is still the case - I'd have a score of zero if I jump ship to any OTHER Club, but as long as I return quickly to the one I started in, my points are still waiting for me. From left to right, these are the Top 7 from #TouchArcade (Ranked #1) - 1,128,410 Bucks in the Top 7 #TouchArcade1 (Ranked #20) - 57,110 Bucks in the Top 7 #TouchArcade2 (Ranked #10) - 141,895 Bucks in the Top 7 #TouchArcade3 (Ranked #25) - 64,975 Bucks in the Top 7 The point totals for #TouchArcade3 drop down very quickly, so it's likely that any dedicated 'faction' of 30 people with several active players could at least manage to break into the Top 100 each week and get roofs for everyone in the group.
I started in #TouchArcade2 before learning about #TouchArcade1, so after this event is over I'll probably be switching over to the latter. If anyone's interested: Spaceyhmm friend code: 2DFR I think someone brought this up a few pages ago, about all items in all floors being the same quantities, and I have to admit I miss how item quantities were done in the original Tiny Tower. I remember food floors starting at much lower quantities than, say, red creative floors. It just made each type of floor feel a little more unique. And it was nice to not have most or all floors end up on the same "schedule" so to speak, in terms of items running out and needing to be restocked. I also miss being able to re-name floors, even if I didn't always do so. These aren't complaints at all, just my thoughts on things that I miss but don't necessarily need from the original game. I'm SO glad about some of the changes, such as being able to add friends more easily. I have a friend who's on Android who may be getting the game soon, and unlike the original Tiny Tower, I'll actually be able to follow her tower this time. Oh, I forgot! Thank you to everyone who's shared advice and general info/number-crunching stats on the game. It really helps!
I'm 2D8G. Add me if you want. I have ran into something though. Sometimes I'll have the gift box icon at the bottom but when I click it it plays the sound but doesn't open a window or anything. Any idea what would be causing that?
GreenAlex, as far as I can tell, no you can't rename and recolor floors. Would be a nice feature to have in the future, but we'll see. Also, I only JUST found out that you can bet more than 1 chip when gambling! I've read through most of this thread and haven't seen anyone mention that yet, but it's possible I missed the discussion somehow. Is there a benefit to betting more than 1 chip? EDIT: I see now, betting more than 1 chip raises the amount of bux you can possibly win. Makes sense! Also I'm starting to think this is a "Thank you, Captain Obvious" moment and you all knew this already so uh, don't mind me... And an idea for a possible feature: maybe in the Options or Friends menus, add a "Display Name" field so that when people add you as a friend, they don't have to make up a name for you if they're not sure who you are. Apologies if someone else brought this idea up already, I just know you guys have been talking about not knowing who's who when looking through friend codes.
Hey guys, I've already added a few of you on the game, my code is 29CD. I'll be joining the #toucharcade3 club seeing as how it'll be the best chance I get at ranking in the top 30. Just waiting for the timer to reset so I can participate
Thanks for advice .I just started this game yesterday.my code is BDL4 I join #toucharcade3 I would like to get top30 Thank you very much
I don't think so, but we could get a general idea by creating a list of all the different Casino floors. Since the floors cycle through the same "colors" every five levels, you should theoretically run out of options for all 'colors' at the same time. SLOTS (7): 777 Candy Farm Fishing Patty's Snorkel Spooky POKER (6): Basement Dino Dragon Dwarven High Noon Pyramid BLACKJACK [21] (6): Jungle King's Olympus Panda Techno Temple Anyone know of any others? (There are probably more - I found those 19 different options after a quick glance through my Friends with the highest number of Floors.) 19 (x5) = 95 Floors, +1 for the Lobby. As long as there's at least one more, there's over 100 total Floors available at present.
Was in toucharcade 1, I had no idea about the special roof prize! So I hopped in TA3 club, supported the devs with 2$ worth of chips. Played my heart out in slots, and jumped up to 8th in club. Woot, can't wait for my roof!
Um the club ended, like, where is my prize? I was in toucharcade and we were first so I should get like 100 chips?
