Many thanks for the info. Extremely logical. The more floors you have, the harder it is to locate anything! This is made more difficult by the intricate background scenes/colors, animated backgrounds, & many bitizens blocking what you're trying to locate. So far, Snorkel Slots is the worst in terms of background distractions. And I'm playing on an iPhone 4s. :::sigh::: I've added only a handful of "friends" so far based on their helpful tips here & participation in other TA forums I've been in. Here's my tip, put your code in your signature so you won't have to type it in each time.
I'd love a feature to "add friend" when we receive a tip from someone we have not friended yet. When you're "on the go", it isn't always convenient to find something to jot down the code for adding them later. So I rely on catching names/codes that are posted in this thread. I'd also like a feature to change a friend's name. So we can fix a typo, or add their name when we later discover what it is.
A Skill 9 person is providing 100% inventory at 73% cost (assuming everyone on that floor is Skill 9). A Skill 0 Dream Job person is providing 200% inventory at 100% cost (or cheaper, if other people have skills)! Dream Job, every time. It's a bit "cumbersome," but you can delete the friend and immediately re-add them, which allows you to change the name. (That also highlights the name again, which makes me wonder if that might be a loophole to give multiple Chips to the same person? Probably not.)
Dream jobs with zero/low skill level until you can replace those with dream jobs with high skill level.

How does the tipping of chips work? Maybe a question already answered but hopefully quicker to ask again as the posts are popping up pretty quick! 9M7T - game code
The first time you visit someone in a day (when their name is bright) and play on a casino game, they will receive a free Chip as a "Tip." (Their name will then go dark on your Friend list so you'll know they've already received their free Chip for the day.) If each friend does that for the other, that means you get one free game in each other's place every day. Or you can save up those Chips for a big win using 10 Chips on Slots: (I'm pretty sure a 10 Chip win with a Royal Flush on Poker would crash my iPad, but I'll probably never know )
Every time you play a game in someone else's tower, they get tipped 1 chip I think a person can tip a friend one chip per day but I'm not so sure about that.
2 tips, perhaps obvious for many but good to recall: - As your goal is to have dream jobbers in your shops, it's extremely important to keep the lobby clear. Have at least 2 or 3 open slots for new applicants. Each new applicant could be your next DJer! If you have VIPs, use them as soon as possible. Don't store ??? Applicants unless they're 9 in their color and the color is the one of your next floor. In any case, keep at least 1 slot clear! - if you're watching TV, or doing sthg else casually, try to keep your iPhone or iPad on Tiny Tower Vegas. Even if you don't play, as long as TTV is on screen, the game will store new applicants and give you new missions without you interacting. Have a look very 10 minutes or so to complete the mission and delete unwanted applicants. Easy chips and DJers
Does anyone remember the order floors come in? I don't want to go back and find it. The floors do come in an order right?
Yeah, the NAMES of the floors will vary, but the colors always seem to be the same. Not including the lobby, floors will always appear in this sequence: Yellow (Casino) White (Hotel / Suite) Green (Food) Purple (Retail) Orange (Entertainment) Food, Retail and Entertainment are pretty much identical in terms of function, so the only numbers that matter are: Casinos (2s and 7s) Hotels (3s and 8s) And Casinos only vary because of the ever changing Player's Club game and the fact that you want to leave them fully stocked whenever actively playing (a Bitizen going to a fully stocked Casino floor ALWAYS leaves a Chip Tip - thanks to rebartsch for that info). [Edit: Do I have the appearance of Hotels and Casinos backwards? I might be going senile, but I thought for sure the Casino came before the Hotel ...]
It would be nice if NB would show the top ten instead of seven in the leaderboard. If they're going to give the same prize to teams 2-10 it would be helpful to know how far behind #10 your team is. Not a complaint, just a suggestion for the next update.
Brace yourselves, in about 10 hours, a RTFM special episode for the end of the first players club contest of Tiny Tower Vegas since its worldwide release : This thread will be filled by TouchArcade club players asking why the heck they had a mere 5 chips reward and didn't get their special roof reward, as Toucharcade finished #1 (not claimoring the fact they finished #1000 in TA with a score of 50)... You will explain why, but the same question will reappear just after you answered it, with a few twists ("I didn't read this 60 pages thread, but", "Nimblebit what the hell, where is my prize you cash grabbing freemium crap megacorp", "help, the club contest finished 1 minute ago and I still haven't had my prize",...)
That doesn't really apply here, though. You've got three currencies (Chips, Bux, Coins), all earnable in-game, and the most difficult one to acquire in the amount needed is probably standard Coins, which you CAN'T buy with real money. Chips are common through standard play (and through intelligent play and tower setup you can earn them even faster). Chips are used for "virtual gambling," which earn you Bux in about a 15-to-1 tradeoff. They'll get money from people who HAVE to go faster than the standard rate, or from people like me who spend it to support NimbleBit and learn the best strategies of how to play. But there are no 'coin doublers,' no 'spend premium currency at a chance for an Ultra Rare drop,' none of the usual shenanigans you'd find in a Cash Cow game. Is it similar to the original game? Sure, but in a world saturated with Puzzle & Dragons and Clash of Clans ripoffs, I think they're entitled to release a freemium-friendly 'repaint' of their own creation.
