Really enjoying this game. I need more friends who will tip me though, I will always tip back! My code is 287N.
More "number crunching" ... * Every item in every shop earns the same rate of Coins - one every five seconds or 12 Coins Per Minute. (During this time, Item #1 uses 12 Stock, Item #2 uses 6 Stock and Item #3 uses 4 Stock.) So a fully-stocked floor is earning 36 CPM. * At Level 10, you will need to restock each item after 5 hours, 20 hours and 45 hours respectively. (With a Dream Job, those times are doubled.) * If you don't factor in VIPs and "Check In 3" Missions, you need to level a Suite up to at least Level 6 before a guest becomes more profitable than merchandise. (Level 6 actually only earns 35 CPM - 3150 Coins after 90 Minutes - but there's no fee to "stock" a guest.) I doubt anyone wants this topic to turn into a math project , but more geeky data on the floors at each upgrade level can be found at: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/834695-tiny-tower-vegas/69960743 (Laire - Tiny Tower Vegas Friend Code 29YH)
Very interesting. NimbleBit really simplified the returns for each floor : every one has now the same, compared to TT where each floor had different stocks numbers. Also you don't get to choose which type of floor to build. The only way to get more coins without playing non stop is to level up your shops, and have dream jobbers. I'd say upgrade each shop to at least level 3 or 4 is a no brainer as it doesn't cost many Bux and enhances considerably the number of items. Then focus on the floors where you have dream jobbers. I also find it odd that there's no way to "buy" coins with Bux or chips. The only approaching way, as said in the link, is to buy guests in the suites, then wait to get the coins Added you Laire, all your posts well deserve 1 chip tip a day
How many chips do you guys earn for doing a side quest like: find these items, find these guys, etc...? I'm currently earning two chips, but I seem to recall only earning one when I started. Does the reward increase with number of consecutive days played? My fireworks display is currently up to 10 days (I was able to win a code from nimble bits twitter contest last week).
For me, the "fetch X items/people" quests are always a single chip, and the more specialized tasks (win a casino game, room three guests, fully stock a floor) are worth three chips. Never had a quest that provides two chips. So your chip rewards might increase based off of number of floors, number of "Characters" unlocked, number of consecutive days played, or some other factor. Or certain, later characters might offer bigger rewards for their quests. No idea. (I currently have 13 Floors, 5/15 Characters unlocked and - I think - a 4 Day Firework streak. Elevator, Roof and Lobby are all default items, with a decently accelerated Motor.)
The chips increase in 1 every 20 fllors: From 1 to 19: 1 chip From 20 to 39: 2 chips From 40 to 59: 3 chips ...
Yeah, when you get down to it I'm afraid they've simplified things TOO much. Apart from using Bucks to buy new floors and "quick fill" guests in your Suites, your premium currencies can't really improve your rate of earning Coins. (Not even sure if "premium currencies" is the right term anymore, since you can earn all currencies at a fairly steady rate, and Chips only really exist to get turned into Bucks.) Food, Retail, Entertainment and Casino buildings all generate Coins the same. You can't improve them - you can only reduce your downtime. And even by the time you get to Floor 15, it already costs more Bucks to instant-build that floor (6,500!) than it would to fully upgrade an existing floor to Level 10 (5,700).
I need help on something I have been stuck on for 3 days. I'm working on the "buy more" quest. However, during the past 3 days, it keep giving me the "please try again" screen. All I'm doing it tapping "menu" and then tapping "buy more". Did I misunderstand what I'm supposed to so for ths quest?
This is the quest I'm working on that gives me the "try again later" message during the past 3 days. Sorry, I tried to attach it to the previous post. It doesn't seem to allow me to add more than one photo.
Add me!! 29HH What's the purpose of adding friends anyway? Aside from the ability to play their games?
Tapping on "Buy More" typically brings you to an in-app purchase screen showing various options (a VIP package to unlock all roofs/lobbies/elevators and options to purchase Chips or Bucks in various deominations). I think getting to that screen and backing out (even if you don't purchase anything) is what will trigger the "quest complete." You should be able to 'Skip' the quest (unless the Skip button is disabled) to free up other Quest/Mission options to appear instead, but it might keep coming back. Do you have in-app purchases disabled? That might prevent you from getting to that screen (although I'd think something like that would disable the actual act of MAKING the purchases, not seeing the options).
This VIP will empty any suite that you have guests in immediately and you will collect the coins. I would only use it if the suite is full and check out time is a ways off. In my case, I have a level seven suite which takes one hour 45 minutes and generates almost 13,000 coins when fully occupied.
So I've been at #TouchArcade2 for 2 days now and the most I've gotten as of now is 110 points, am I missing something here or is that the way it is? I know NimbleBit competitive side is always slow in stacking points up but this is just ridiculous. I'm 296K btw feel free to add up, I return the favor. edit: Ok, now I feel dumb, I just noticed the big "Snorkel Slots" sign after two days of playing...I know, shut up.
Ah ha! That was the culprit. Thanks, this solved the problem. I have in app purchases disabled because my young daughter plays tons of games and I don't want to find any surprise purchases. I was wondering. Which one would you do? Hire someone with skill 8 or 9 for the job type? Or hire someone with "dream job" for that job, even though he only has skill ZERO for that type of job?
Wouldn't it be cool if Pocket Planes next global event was construction project in Vegas? I think that would be a nice tie in.
