So since this is my first time playing a tiny tower game, few questions. So let's say I got a crusty crab floor right. It's green which means I want applicants with a high green number. I know you want all 9's.. But I get dream job applicants sometimes with low numbers. I got an applicant with 4 green, should I replace him with a 9 green? I know he's special since I went to delete him and it asks if I'm sure I want to remove him. Also let's say I have a applicant with a 9 in green, but he's low in other spots. Should I use a character with let's say 8 in green but he has higher numbers in others as well? ... Or does the only number that matters the one that is colored to the section your placing him?
Your "skill number" in the appropriate job color affects the cost of restocking. Each point makes it 1% cheaper (up to a maximum of 27% less). Consider a Floor which has been increased to Level 5. At that point, the second item usually costs 500 Coins to restock. If you have a team of all "Noble 9s" it would be 9+9+9=27% cheaper, or 365 Coins. (A fairly minor savings.) Compare that to a Dream Job. Having a Dream Job doubles the storage capacity of an item in that shop. In that same example, the second item usually has a capacity of 1,800 items, but it would be doubled to 3,600 with a Dream Job. (You'd need to have TWO people in the stop with the Dream Job, as the first DJ is automatically applied to the first item.) Being able to sell an item for twice as long seems infinitely more important than a minor restock savings. So always use a Dream Job candidate, even if their skill level is a 0 or 1 in that job type. (Unless there's something else that I'm missing?)
I wish I knew that! I've had 4-5 dream job applicants with 1-5 ratings. So I got rid of them, but yeah thanks you answered my question! As for the rest, was common sense for me so I just replaced 3 9's with a 3 , 3 , and 4 because they all had dream jobs. Shweet
I wish I knew that earlier, i kicked out quite a few dream jobbers already :/ Cant believe Nimblebit managed to make TT different enough to suck me back in so completely again Friendcode: 2ZC5
Thats how much it costs to hire that person. More coins = more expensive. Its based off their total skill points (i.e. across all the colors)
What the hell is the deal with the poker casino floor? How the hell does any of that work? Multiple times, I've had two 6's, or a row of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or some other sequence that appears to be fruitful, and yet I get shit for it. No coins, no nothing. Why?
Should be standard "Digital Poker" rules. You need at least a pair of Jacks or better. A pair of 10s or any lesser pair doesn't qualify. That said, a Flush (five in sequence) should be getting you 200 Bucks per Chip that you bet. If it's not, there's something odd with that. I've steered clear of it because Slots unexpectedly seem to provide more reliable gains without putting any real effort into it. (I haven't managed better than 3-of-a-Kind in Poker.)
So nice to see the usual PP suspects. Thanks for compiling this list. I was thinking about how to add people without knowing who they are other than the 4-digit code. It's harder for me to identify (remember) people by the 4-digit code, so I'm trying to assign a name when I add people, and I guess the easiest thing to do would be to use the forum name. I'm a bit confused about the 4-digit codes. Do we get assigned new ones? I skimmed this thread and I think at least 3 people have posted one code, and then later posted a different code. Just starting out and am still building up. One thing I've learned is that I really suck at poker. So I'm going to try to stick to playing slots. Question about the "Cloud" thing. Is this something I need to activate even if I am only playing on one device? From its description, it sounds like you only need it if you are going to play on more than one device. If my game goes kablooie, does this mean I can only restore my game if I already had this Cloud thing set up? Or does backing up my iPhone in iTunes cover that? I see this game is addictive (just like the original Tiny Tower) ... and I must wonder, when will I find time to fling planes in Pocket Planes?
Does anyone know what this blue gift is for? Touching it only produces a noise, no other visible change.
Guys what is the most rewarding gamble in your opinion? right now I have dragon poker,777 slots and panda 21. I have played blackjack before in the casino so I'm doing alright with that. sometimes it seems rigged tho but thats not a surprise. 777 slots is fine, you win rarely but you win bigger I guess, dragon poker I have no idea and I suck at it so I avoid it. my friendship code is 281H add me btw guys!
The game is definitely "rigged" right now in favor of the player, definitely doesn't imitate real life. I've been having fine luck just sticking with the Slots Club Game. You need at least 10 Bucks per Chip to break even (basing it off of "in-app" pricing), I've been averaging at least twice that. Blackjack has set gains per chip - 15 for a Push (what kind of table PAYS you when you TIE?), 30 for a Win, 80 for a Blackjack. If you understand even basic Blackjack rules you should manage a 50/50 Win streak, so you're getting at least 15 Bucks per Chip there as well. Nice for a change of pace, or if you want a slightly less "brainless" gambling experience. Poker doesn't like me, and doesn't seem to be as much in the favor of the Player, so I'll likely avoid that altogether except when it's the Club Game (and maybe even then).
You get a chip as a tip when someone plays a game in your tower, via them adding you to their friends. You get one tip/chip a day from each person who plays in your tower. If you're only getting sound that's a bug there should be a pop up saying you were tipped, what's your friend code? I'll tip you, see if your chip count goes up. Edit: scrolled back and added you, tip coming soonish (to give you time to check back here) Alright just played your candy slots 2bgr
