Is upgrading the elevator worth it? I have 20 floors and am still using the original elevator. Instead of upgrading the elevator, I save up 50 bux and get 100,000 coins to build more floors. What are the advantages of upgrading the elevator besides speed?
Eventually it's worth upgrading, but when your tower isn't very tall, the 100k coins is a ton better, considering it can increase your income by something like 20-100%. I think the first time I bought the coins, I almost doubled the number of floors in my tower with the money. The elevator, on the other hand, offers a much smaller benefit, IMO. At 20 floors, I think I'd consider upgrading it at least once.
I agree. The first big trade-in I made was for 100,000 coins and it helped a lot. But eventually I bought the first upgraded elevator and its actually quite a bit faster. Not SUPER fast, but fast enough to be happy with.
I just got a Mapple store with a staggering total of 16 floors. Not that I'm complaining. I constructed it on the 16th floor too by the way. And to think I saved up a couple of Mapple Store dream jobbers even though I was about to evict their asses for taking up free space a couple of days already. Lucky me.
I am up to 31 floors w/o IAP, and every store is at least filled with 8-9's of medium to happy people. Here are a few rules I go by. - If they don't have a stat that is AT LEAST 8 in one of the 5 categories they get evicted. - I tend to keep 1 extra residential space than I need. By the time you get to 25+ floors you will almost always get at least 1 person for their dream job out of every 10. Keeping this extra residential space let's me fill out of my dream jobs faster.(My roommate and I tried different ways, and by far this has been more sucessfull.) - Some stores 3rd item is worth a lot more than others. This should become obvious as you play. Just look out for it, so when the lady that buys out everything of one product comes by you use it on that floor. My top 3 so far, are tutoring, aquarium, and raquetball. - I color coordinate my guys to their job and job title. So I have a pub, which is green, and everyone in it is wearing green. This makes it much easier to find a person for that towerbux. Obviously to each his own, but I thought I would give some hints out, that have so far helped me.
Hey guys, not sure if this has been mentioned, but ALWAYS put a new tenant with a dream job that you have in that spot, even if you have to boot someone out that is also in their dream job - free 3 bucks! I've also found it helpful to have an extra residential or 5 extra openings to stock up on employees for the floors that you are building. You might not get it spot on, but at least you can acquire a couple in that industry. Julie Add me on Game Center - Jibboolie and JibboolieIPAD - duel wielding lol
Are the floors with higher attention the of the type with the highest demand? As in from the stats tab in the menu?
I've been fighting against it, but I've decided to indulge my OCD behaviour. I'm torn between two choices: 1) Group businesses by type: all food floors, all service floors, all recreation floors, etc... Pros: Easy to set up following the list pasted in this topic so that floors within each group are placed in order of max stock. Cons: Groups of similarly coloured text aren't quite as nice as alternating colours! 2) Alternate each business type: one food, one service, one recreation, etc... Pros: Alternating colours, higher floors will contain the best example of each business. Cons: Again, I'd be using the list to ensure floors were placed in order of maximum stock, i.e. Coffee House, Barber Shop, Comedy Club, etc. This means that during the entire process the building will look a mess and the pattern will only be complete once I have every single floor! The horror! Right now I'm thinking of going with the first option because it's easy to arrange as my tower grows... then maybe at the end I'll just save 100 bux to rearrange the tower into option 2.
Btw, anyone know what can friends do apart from checking out each other towers? They did a pretty good job keeping one occupied with the lift while waiting for stock to replenish and deplete but there's nothing to do in your friends place like most social game. Perhaps bitizen trade will be brilliant?
Wow, cosmic choices, man! Alternating colours are so pretty though. You've got the NHS, of course. But I will continue to worry re my bitizens' health if I don't get a doctor or dentist in my tower pretty soon. Have the pharmacy, but who, I wonder, is writing prescriptions?f
This was what I was gonna write! This is an excellent tip. I'm making way more money than my friends because they didn't think to do this. I'm at 33 floors, 42/49 dream jobs, with the top elevator, and I think this trick was adding at least 30-50 coins a day for me. It will only get better and better as more stores are added too. It makes me salivate to think that by the time I have a huge tower, new citizens are gonna have a really high chance of bringing 3 bux each! On an unrelated note, I've never been able to sign onto Game Center. When i click the Gamecenter icon in the menu, it just says I'm not logged on. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks!
One of my Bitizens: I had a Bitizen who's stats was all 7's. His dream job was to work in a Casino. Kind of wish I took a picture of it before I gave him the boot. Didn't realize how rare that may be.
This tactic can take a long time with higher towers... I chose option 1. Check my tower to see how grouping shops can be just as artistic as option 2. Here's a hint: I bought 300 buckets of paint
Gamecenter log in On an unrelated note, I've never been able to sign onto Game Center. When i click the Gamecenter icon in the menu, it just says I'm not logged on. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks![/QUOTE] You need to log in from the came center icon in you ipad/iphone. Exit tiny tower and enter the gamecenter app. You will need to set up a new account if you do not have already one, but it is a simple process. It will also recognize all the games you are playing, and aknowledge all your achievements. Regarding tiny tower, there's not much other than check your friends towers... There is nothing you can help in or coins to earn. Hope it was helpful
