So will your tower be the same if you play from iPad/iPhone or is this going to be like Pocket Frogs where progress is linked to device. It's the main thing that kept me from playing after a while because I want to play on the big iPad screen when home but still monitor things during the day from iPhone since that's the type of games these are.

I imagine until iOS 5 this won't be common though.

  2. From what I remember you could share your game across all devices as long as you signed into the Plus+ network with the same user id. If you wanted different games on each device you just created a unique profile on each device.

OpenFeint has network save cards so you can share progress among devices, as does the Plus+ network so this feature is already present in many games and doesn't rely on iOS 5.

I scored a pre-release copy of Tiny Towers and it's a fun and addictive game. Can't stop checking my progress. Each time i return to the game it tells me how much money was made in my absence. I anticipate it will be a popular title on the App Store.

The cutesy graphics are lovely, but I'm particularly impressed with the interface design, which works really well on the small ipod touch screen.

One challenge involves locating a specific person within your tower, based on their name and a picture of them. Of course, as your tower gets taller there's more levels and more residents to search through.

    Worth checking.

As one of the beta testers of Tiny Tower, I'm just going to say that the game is as good as, if not better than, Pocket Frogs, and everybody is definitely going to love the game. The NimbleBit team did a great job with making sure the graphics are fantastic, and the gameplay is fun and balanced.

I tried changing the time on my device, to see if that by-passed the "build periods" in Tiny Towers. You may remember the "Smurf Village" game initially had this issue. Although they released a fix to detect people who messed with their device time.

With "Tiny Towers" there seems to be some protection included to prevent people changing the device time. After changing the device time forwards one hour, the game would not start. When I moved the device time back one hour again, the game started working correctly. So they appear to have thought about this.

I wonder if the following scenarios will cause problems:
    - Someone legitimately corrects their device time, because it's wrong.
    - Someone travels overseas and adjusts their device time accordingly.
    - Day light savings results in time changes in different countries.

I sent a PM to the developers, but didn't get a response. Hopefully they've got it all covered, because this game is damn addictive.

It would be awesome if this game plays like a Kairosoft sim. Kairosoft + time-management = everlasting addiction!
