Ian you REALLY need to start giving TA the same kind of love you do the SA forums. I don't pay for forum memberships especially when the forums are so... Well, rather crude as SA. So having to go there for such a... Friendly game seems wrong. I'm no prude, by NO means, but I have kids and browsing forums with the topic for TT is, well, yeah. It doesn't work. But a lot of people viewing here aren't getting the benefit of finding out that you are raising the DJ reward to 2.. There are pics on the SA forums of the face melter. I was literally about to say goodbye to tt, not that anyone gives a hoot, nor should you, but this has given me the only thing I've wanted. I am disappointed that the elevator isn't like the one from willy wonka
Don't you think it's slightly unreasonable to expect the dev to be an active member of every single forum that discusses their game?
Yessir. There are 2000 posts here. No, I don't think it's unreasonable for the dev to actively participate in the largest, casual, open for everyone forum about iOS gaming.
A couple of pages back he mentioned that he was hoping to submit it that week and then another week or two after that it would be available. Believe his post was on 8/3. 499 tower bux for next elevator upgrade?? that's really high. But i really need it since i'm almost to 75 floors.
I am over 80 floors and still on the first elevator upgrade! I find it nice to stroll by the shops looking for ones I might need to restock and revisit etc. I for some reason never found the need for anything higher than the first upgrade. (and I know I am in the extreme minority with only one other person having the same views as me)
Both Marsh Brothers used to be quite active members here, especially for Pocket Frogs - questions were asked and answered in minutes. It was helpful and nice. Heck lets go back to the original Nimblebit games of Scoops, Textropolis, Sky Burger, etc! The Marshes were here from the start. I am glad that someone else is able to post that information since my impression was that this game was sort of dead of updates. Thanks @andsoitgoes for that information. I wish the Marshes remembered their roots and visited once in awhile!
The update will be out Thurs. TA EXCLUSIEV!!! I don't have time to frequent every forum anymore as we get 100s of support and business emails that need to be answered on top of working on updates for our games. Maybe we will hire a marketing person to post on all the forums, Facebook, and twitter. Also anyone can follow us on twitter for FREE and you will hear about fun development stuff: @eeen @NimbleBit
Something to consider: If you guys want to create an environment that's conducive to developer interaction... Maybe don't heckle them so much. You don't see anywhere near the same level of ridiculous outcry on Something Awful because the $10 barrier to entry effectively keeps a lot of whiners out as if they're not going to pay 99¢ for an iPhone game they sure as hell aren't going to pay for a forum.
Hardly a comparison because I have half the floors as you, but I have only 1 elevator upgrade! . Everytime I think I will go past 50bux, I end up cashing it in for $100k!
Cashing in the bux at this point for me is only 1/10th a new floor and I can make that much with my stores being fully stocked pretty quickly so I don't cash in like in the beginning. I use my bux to rearrange my building (finally did that) and move people in. I just like the slow pace of moseying up the tower I guess. Having to catch up on some residences as my original 2:1 method is leaving me short employees at this point. So I have to catch up a little and boy did that make a big difference! And thanks eeen for the update, didn't mean anything negative by my comment, just miss seeing you around. Guess that is the price of fame! Hodapp is also right, it can get pretty ruthless around here! Entitlement certainly is unbecoming. Always have and always will support a subscription based forum if it could be implemented. It's the least the users could do to support a forum that likely occupies most of their day.
Wow, Thursday release? That's great, I can't wait. I currently have 242 bux so I guess I'm half way there to this new elevator I have a quick question. If I have 6-7 floors of service, recreation, creative and retail but no floors of food, will my stock be sold slower than if I had 6 floors of food as well or does it not make a difference? It's only because the stock for food floors is so awful and needs constant restocking that I demolished them all for one of the other 4 and I'm not sure whether that will have affected anything or not? Maybe the dev can confirm this for me??
Urgh 499 bucks? Sheesh.. I hardly trade in my bucks for coins anymore since it hardly makes much difference when each floor costs 1 million. Mostly using it to get dream jobbers, but looks like I have to save it now.
