    /facepalm

I really have to stop trying to make reasonable points to the unreasonable...

Between real estate agents and bux from waldo missions, triple stocking bonuses, elevator tips, etc., if you can't fill about four floors worth of residential apartments in an hour or so you really shouldn't be playing this game.

yeah, shouldn't you be taking care of your children instead of telling people their reasons for enjoying/disliking a game are invalid. seems like a better utilization of my time, but what do i know?

Personally, I think the nerf should have been 2 bux / dream placement.

Or, even better, should have been 3 bux per placement if you have fewer than 30 floors, 2 bux per if you have fewer than 60, and 1 bux per for anything else.

This thread is like a carnival ride that just won't stop. Round and round.

    C. H. - you are spending more time in here debating and defending the decisions, and telling people they shouldn't be playing the game in such and such a way than it takes for a warring country to create a peace treaty.

NB nerfed a part of a game that gave too many bux to the player if they took the time and effort. There is no telling how many people utilized it, unless NB gave the numbers. Lots of people say it's 1%, less than 1%, whatever. But no one knows. Hell it could be 10%, many that just don't post on the forums or on iTunes. If it was only 1%, or less, then what's the point of dropping it?

Anyway, that's all I'll say on the matter. I still enjoy the game, but I wouldn't be if I had updated. It has nothing to do with stockpiling bux, but being able to fill dream jobs in the manner I choose to do so. It wasn't how NB intended to make the game, but it's how it was, and I enjoy it that way. Take that out, and it's much more difficult to place people in their dream jobs. Impossible, no, but a lot more difficult.

    Hi All, NB,

Just a suggestion, wonders if the Filling of People Icons (the one on the upper left above the residences) which are currently showing White/Black for apartments to show no. of people filled/empty, can they be made colour coded to show their happiness level? E.g. 4 Green 1 Orange means 4 happy and 1 unhappy. That will make it easier to spot from the main page instead of checking one by one...

    :)

And ya, maths, formulas, reasons why they should/should not play, does not matters. All that I know is I appreciate the designers in spending time in making it (all the cute little people and cute little floors), and making it free for all of us to spend time on.

Honestly, play or not, its up to you! Hahaha... doesn't understand why the need to debate over the last few pages... There is no right/wrong...

Anyway, gotta run.... Going back to find my cute Mr. Angel Walkins who have a soggy package delivered to him *again*.... Wonders what's in that package?!.....

Just wanted to say that I don't care about arguing over semantics. I just like the game. That is all. :)

Bollocks. There's well over a million GC accounts with TT. It's trivial to determine the numbers I gave with certainty. You don't need to be Nimblebit and you don't need more than a basic knowledge of statistics. Clearly there is a vocal minority with their heads in sand as to objective reality grasping repeatedly at the same tired and easily refuted points.

Anyhow, the nerf is nearly a week old at this point, I'm done flogging this deceased equine. If you aren't convinced by the game devs themselves or the data offered up by me, you aren't ever going to be convinced.

I'm really enjoying this game, and i've read most of the comments here.

I dont know, I check the game 3-5 times a day, just to restock and such. Occasionally when I'm forced to watch some stupid TV show, I'll sit around and ferry people.

I have 47 floors, so I skip most all the waldo missions.. just too time consuming. I have like 430 something bux, I stopped spending them after the last elevator. I don't really see much need to, since I'm getting about a floor a day.

The only thing, like some others, I'd really like to see, is the ability to upgrade items. It would be awesome if we could upgrade floors like the Pub, which is just obnoxious to restock. But I also see the benefit of short times for getting bux for fully stocking a floor.

Either way I'm loving this game, and look forward to future updates. GO NB!

    Question

Is there any loss or penalty for not just letting a floor go dark by not re-stocking, but also evicting all it's workers?

I hate my Sub Shop, but don't want to delete it and wait many hours just to have it return when I build or re-build a food floor. If I get rid of it's workers that would give me 3 more bitizens slots. Or I could just make them unemployed and save them for a bakery when I get said bakery.

No penalty. Businesses have no overhead and workers only function to stock. You could hypothetically time it so you got every business simultaneously triple stocked and evict every single bitizen in your tower and sales would continue unabated until the stock ran out.

Not that it counts for much, but keeping the bitizens in the building will net you the 300 coins rent each day for doing nothing, so not much point in evicting them if you will be building more food businesses you plan on running (unless their dream jobs are for the Sub Shop and you can't bring yourself to ever reopen it).

Actually two of the sub shop kids _are_ dream jobbers. But sometimes I want to build two businesses in a row, rather than my usual practice of alternating business-residence-business. So it's nice to have the possibility of extra guys around when I want to do that. Won't evict them until after midnight though. And when I do evict them I might delete the floor and hope for a better food shop.

I didn't know this would happen - actually I didn't quite know WHAT would happen to be honest - but I wanted to get one of the achievements when I got a new shop but didn't have enough employees to stock it. I stocked the one store and then moved those workers to the new shop - used bux to speed along the fully stocked items and then moved them back. Apparently even with no one minding the shop it sold the stock! Who was there to prevent theft? Who was there for customer service? I guess no one and all turned out ok in the end.

You do 1:1 business to residence? I have done 2:1 business to residence all the way up and found myself lacking in employees sometimes - I wonder often if I should have added more residences along the way. Yours seems like a good way to do it too. Then you can have spares. I NEVER have spares! That is why I had to do what I did for that achievement.

Probably didn't answer your question in the slightest but at this point I am just trying to get to 100 and not wasting the time (since it takes longer than a day to build a floor) in changing out the businesses. I figure once I hit 100 I can swap on out and all that jazz. Also since the achievements are paired with another business and I pretty much only have one half of a lot of them, I don't want to lose my chance to fulfill them. Sushi Bar will be the first to go though let me tell you!

    Unrelated to this -----

I just got a Floral Shop but can't find the mate for an achievement - is there not one?

Been enjoying this game. But as your building gets higher than 35-40 floors, you start to wish there were more things to do and manage apart from just waiting for that next floor to build and fitting your bitizens to their dream jobs. Wish the next update introduces more features than just new commercial spaces to build.

The Floral Shop was one of the new 5 businesses added in the 1.2 update, no additions were made to the GC achievements at that time, so, nope, no achievement based around it (at least for now).

Well, New England Gamer, I am laughing. I don't care at all about achievements. In fact, just now after reading your post, I looked at mine for the first time.

For some reason, irrational I'm sure, I don't like to have businesses missing employees. It just bothers me and, strangely, makes me think of the millions of unemployed now suffering in the U.S. and elsewhere. See? Irrational. But there it is.

However, building residences isn't as much fun as building businesses and seeing, at last, what business you get. But, of course, not building residences reminds me of homelessness.

"it's just a game, Doffie." Right.

Blame Pocket Frogs for the achievements I have stuck in my head - never ever before that game did I care about achievements. But now since Nimblebit makes them actually ACHIEVABLE for me I think about them for their games. Go figure.

I am laughing right back at your post because I have my own irrational thoughts tied up in the game. Most of which involve what exactly happens on the right side of the tower and how do they get down so is my tower going to ever be over its capacity and crumble. Bitbook entries that state they are locked in their apartment or they can't get down don't help ease these clearly irrational thoughts I have.

Also, what the heck are they yapping about as they go up the elevator. You better be thanking me cuz otherwise you apparently have a LONG wait ahead of you if I decide not to bring you up!

Ok, sorry for the funny business, had to get that out of my system....

Thanks @CHannum for answering my Floral Shop question - I was combing my cheat sheet and the Game Center list for awhile before I realized that it just might NOT be listed!

I'm not sure if this is asked and answered already, but are there any plans to make it possible to name bitizens, as we name businesses? I'd kind of like to get some little themes going, where the bitizens' names are related to where they work...like, I called my men's clothing store Grace Brothers, and I want to have Mr. Humphries, Mr. Lewis, and Mr. Grainger working there....)
