Bug: sometimes, the paint of a floor changes automatically after exitting the game and entering again. For example, I had the "Tuscana Apts." change from "default" to a blue paint. Of course, this can be solved by setting it to "default" again, but I wish the paint stayed as I left it. On my wife's iPhone it happens too.
I don't think so. It's been made clear the developers don't want us farming bux. The best reason I can think of for low stock times is the obvious one... to start the game off with a gentle curve. If someone downloaded the game, started playing then instantly got hit with a 5 hour waiting period they might not ever come back. Assuming I'm correct, once you're beyond that curve and are used to longer stock times, you no longer have need for the 1/5/10 minute ones (unless you really are farming), so the ability to raise them up somewhat would be great.
But the mechanism to farm BUX by restocking and ferrying (latest update says it's at a higher rate now) does exist thus why you may want to have low stock times. Otherwise if you didn't have these things then the devs are saying that you should only play the game about 20 min a day. PS. You choose the floor type before the time starts for their completion.
IAP idea. For $1 I would pay to change a dream jobber into a manager that automatically takes care of the floor (ordering and stocking). When a manager is running things, restocking the floor only gives coin bonuses not BUX it would be nice if the number of managers also transfers if you restart a game. It would eliminate the frustration of the low stock times in bigger buildings.
I think its random being random honestly. I got a tech store as my second store and got a sushi restaurant all the way up past 20. Now over 50 I got the private eye but still haven't received Mexican Restaurant, Video Rental or Barber Shop at over 60 floors. So in between I have a whole mix of times. My feeling is simply to stagger stock times in order to always have something to do when you check on your tower. At that this point I am nowhere near finishing the achievements so I want to keep them all around in order to find their mate for the achievements. Of course when I get those achievements some of these low stock floors will be the first to go! Or well, I take that back, I still kind of like always having something to do whenever I check in. @Dhammerton as someone answered you choose the type when you want the building to commence. You can change them later but they will build at the current time you are building based on how many floors you have. So if I was to change a floorl 2 business right now I would still have to wait 1 day+ since that is how long a new floor for me takes.
Generally pleased with the update except for one thing. It is really really hard for me to see the gold payoff when you have fully stocked a floor. Those pale white floaty digits are not at all kind to older eyes! Dear Devs, am I the only one having trouble with this?
I meant waiting time for the stock, not the construction. 20 minutes a day sounds good to me though, for a game that theoretically should last 6 months to a year and possibly even beyond, you certainly don't want to wear yourself out. Pocket Frogs played in much the same way, they're both designed for short bursts of play and that's exactly what I do; roughly 5 minutes a time, 4 times a day.
I wish there was a backup game option somewhere. I can't keep building 25 floors to overwrite my old game.
Is it important that you know? All it says is +73 or something, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter whether you see it or not.
I'm at 73 now, and have a large amount of higher end stores, but because of that, I'm now getting lots of low end stores. The point I'm trying to make is that it now costs 821k/ floor and the build times are, if I recall, about 35 hours. Yes, I still build a floor a day, but unless I rush with bux you don't get a new floor every day, it's once every other day. The game is slowing to a crawl now, UNLESS you start using bux to speed up the building. But honestly, it is almost pointless to do that, since it is horribly NOT cost effective to convert bux to coins now, as it would take 4-500 bux to convert completely. As for earnings, when most things are full and selling my SPM are around 750-850. It's a lot, but that at the best, if things stay consistently stocked. Because stock depletes and sometimes, especially when we are asleep, that probably drops quite a bit for around about 6-10 hours a day. TL;DR VERSION: 70+ levels, no matter how many good businesses you have, the game starts to go SOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOW. There's nothing AT ALL other than getting lucky enough to have all the high end stores, to balance the game later on to make it anything but dog slow. Add another 10 floors and it'll be maybe 2x/week for a new floor. Unfortunately the game is really unbalanced past 70 floors. And I don't know if there is anything to be done to help. The thing that is frustrating is when you've waited 3 days to open a store and have it be, like I had, a barber shop. A frickin' barber shop. 5/10 or 15/30. It's frustrating to get low end stores at this point, a lot more frustrating than the joy of getting high end shops at level 15 or 20. What I'd like to see is the stores, especially these low end ones, to scale with you. So if you're level 70 you get a higher end pub or barber shop. NB has confirmed that it is random, but there's a better chance of a high end store the larger your tower. So you can get a Drs Office at level 3, or a pub at level 100, but you're more likely to get a higher end business higher up. But if you use up all the high end buildings by level 90 , you're just going to get what's left. Even at a level 10 tower the gold payoff is beyond pointless. Honestly the only thing worthwhile is the bux bo us, I can't see anyone benefiting at level 70 from getting coins. I'd get 140 coins at level 70. 140...
No no, it matters not what the coin bonus is to me, just that that is the only indicator that the floor is fully stocked. I don't sometimes notice the coins graphic and so click on the floor to restock the next item - even when fully stocked. So before, when the "you are fully stocked" or words to that effect icon came on I knew I could move on to the next floor. So it's not the bonus that I care to see its the extra step it saves me is all. I should slow down when restocking and that would probably solve my problem since I am on a tap tap tap craze when restocking and miss that the floor is fully stocked. That's all that _I_ meant. I can't speak for the original poster on this, but to me I would like to see that clearer to save myself a few taps is all. I am well aware that the bonus that gives me is a drop in the bucket at this point, I just get frustrated to open a full floor - especially since they took away the graphic to SAVE taps! This is almost making me tap MORE!
The original poster was asking about the coin bonus from people who you ferry to the floor. At least that's how I saw it. It had nothing to do with stocking. If it did, then I apologize. As for whether the floor is fully stocked, you can see by the stock icons on the screen. Those that are in stock show lit up, of they're empty they show as empty, or dim.
Ah ok, those I can easily calculate - 2x the floor destination. As for the stocking it's just something I have to get used to again I think. I go so quickly tapping the floors the stocks, etc. I know the little item lights are there I just don't look. It's entirely my fault, and I realized since posting these, that even if the coin numbers were brighter or more visible I would not see them as my hand covers that section of the screen in my frantic attempts to restock that long line of beige buttons. So if we were talking about different things, my apologies, since the elevator bonus is the easiest thing to calculate! Either way, it's me having to slow down and get used to the new mechanic is all.
