The game rocks, the update is fine, this thread rocks. Basically it couldn't get any rockier for me, looking forward to the more updates. And it was free ...
I too like the updates.i honestly don't see much of a difference with the bux and i was one of the people who kicked out all of my residents to find people with dream jobs, not for the bux originally but to have a mini goal for myself.don't see what all the complaining is about. i'd still like to see mini games, they would give me something to do rather then ferrying people up and down the elevator when i have some down time because all my floors are stocked. also an idea, would it be possible to "hire" a fourth person with a dream job for a set amount of time?(i would be fine if no bux were given)i hate seeing someone with a dream job come into my building that i actually have a floor of.i can't kick my workers out because they have higher stats then the one in question
How do I do that? It's just stuck at 55 even though I've built 6 more floors in the meantime. Ah hell, got bored, not playing as much now.
First, let me first say I have NO PREFERENCE at all on the update. Actually, I actually LIKE this update because of all the new features it brought. This by no means is a vote at bringing back the 3 bux reward, because quite frankly, I never cared for it. Alright. Now, I have to say. That statement was complete and utter BS. This is NOT a "balance of the game". As previous users have pointed out, one could only use this exploit effectively when they already have a significant amount of levels already- and at that point, there really is no more point in having a lot of bux. Really, this reduction was just a way to earn a little bit more money. There is NOTHING wrong with stating this truth, Nimblebit. Again, "exploiting" that feature rewarded the user MINIMAL gains, and therefore, it wasn't like reducing the dream job reward would FORCE people to buy bux, so you guys wouldn't seem like greedy developers if you just stated this truth. Seriously, honesty is what I want to see, and I'm sure many other consumers would like to see that, too. Now, if you guys want ANOTHER way to get some more people to buy bux, go back a couple pages to view my elevator suggestion. Add some more elevators, each servicing their own floors. The first set would service 1-50, the second 51-100, and so on. Since each elevator would have to be updated, more bux would be needed. Ultimately, this update will help all users because even the best elevator is a PAIN to ferry passengers once you have 50+ levels, and for those impatient enough to upgrade ALL these elevators, you guys are going to see an increase in bux buyers, too.
I am on a 2nd gen iPod Touch. I was doing the clock cheat and reached about 75 floors, but then it would fail to boot occasionally. Not always - about 1 in 3 attempts I would launch the game and it would sit on the loading screen and then pop back to the iPod screen. This got worse and worse as I added floors and people. Now I am on 96 floors and the game won't boot at all. I can imagine that the has a lot of calculations to perform when you reenter the game - and this is just too much for my lesser model of iPod. But I would really like to reach 100 floors. Is this going to be a problem for all people as they try to reach those last few floors? Is 100 floors obtainable? Or is it just my older model. Perhaps you could check the model and remove some functionality from older models .. anything !!? I'd even vote for receiving less ingame income - just so that I can re-enter the game and slowly proceed. I'm so close and I've hit a brick wall. : ( I tried the upgrade in the hope that it would fix this, but no such luck. Love the game by the way. It has totally absorbed my spare time for the past couple of weeks. Cheers Grelb
There are many good points in this game, and other points that some agree with and others don't. I guess there's no point going on about the dreamjob bux process change but I doubt they will ever change it back, they chose to do it for a reason, So there's little point to keep harping on about it, since they made the game they get to make these decisions that'll make some people mad and others happy. You can't please everyone. So I'm going to stop talking about that aspect and move on and talk about other things that would vastly improve gameplay. For one, the stock icons should really start to disappear when the stock starts running out, when your trying to decide where to put a VIP big spender you can't even check how much stock is left on each floor, and the restocking screen also blocks that from view even when you aren't trying to place a VIP. Having an extra menu screen might be a bit fiddly, the simplicity of the game is probably one of the reason in why the game has done so well, Making the stock icons slowly empty like a glass slowly emptying (not transparency) would be a great way to fix this. I originally thought this is what already happened because of the pottery floor had an icon that appeared to only be half an icon, to me anyway, and I assumed that it meant my stock was half empty, then later realized that wasn't the case. Two- needs more elevator upgrades desperately. Three- possibly a customizer for the rooms, I nearly go insane clicking paint paint paint 300 times trying to make the room look good AND THEN I finally see a good room color scheme and I accidentally clicked past it because I'm so used to clicking quickly since all the previous 299 rooms were bad colors! And doing the same with the clothes would also be nice, as midian has already stated. Four- being able to turn off the orange "closed shop" notifications, once your tower is huge it's too hard to keep all your shops stocked, then you end up missing out on where's Waldo and The elevator icon. Or at least allowing to scroll through them all to see all of your Notifications instead of just stoping due to not having enough room on the screen. Five- making the iPad version full screen, at first I thought it was then I realized it's not, it's the iPhone version with a grey border instead of black.
Therein lies your problem. Time traveling breaks games. You aren't supposed to play that way. 100 floors is obtainable if you keep your clock on the right setting and play the game fairly. Reboot your device, restore your clock settings, then wait the umpteen days it will take for your tower to catch up to as far in the future as you pushed it and then you can continue on your merry way. Or start over. Floors me that after you admit to basically cheating you ask the devs to help you out in an update!!!
My wish list is still to have some sort of job vacancy indicator on the jobs list as you go to place an employee. I can't always remember if one business has one employee or two and it would be great to have a little indicator showing either how many employees are currently employed at that store or how many vacancies there are. Either way. Then I would know which business is more in need of workers. My goals for the dream jobbers were for my low stock stores - I really tried to get dream jobbers there in order to not have to check in on that store every few minutes it seemed. Not much longer now, but at least its something. In trying to get those dream jobbers I was sometimes at a net loss for bux cuz I was unlucky in moving someone in with the wrong jobs. I made up for it ferrying people on the elevator or waiting for a find the bitizen game. So I guess, as CHannum as pointed out to me many a time, I just "didn't get it" and I guess I still don't. Could there be a cap of three dream jobbers no matter their skill per floor perhaps? Maybe that is a compromise? I know that if in my search for one dream jobber I found a different one I did place them (to try and offset my loss) and if they were a higher skill than the one currently employed they stayed the other got booted - well evicted from the building. So if I replaced that "fourth" employee could there not be a bux reward triggered since I used all three?
Yeah, cheaters never win. Think of this as lesson learned. Either wait or use bux they don't break the game
I could be wrong, but you can check to see how many stock icons are there since you can only have up to the number of employees. (the icons in the top left corner) Since we are making suggestions: - I would like to see an elevator upgrade that is a 1-button click that either evicts the passenger out or go automatically to the floor they are asking for (VIP's you still do manually). Set it at something high like 500 BUX, I would actually pay real money for this function. - allow for more options to set Notifications. example. I only wanted to be notified if a third level stock is finished or a VIP guy shows up
i know it's not a big deal - but the stock items for the Rock Climbing center are silly. 1 Climb, 2 Climbs, 3 Climbs? What about Carrabiners, Ropes, Climbs?
Unfortunately a lot of devs are getting away with this, getting a retina game to display its retina rez graphics on an ipad and calling it universal. Apple seriously needs to stamp this out, I could never understand why retina games didn't display this way anyway, they should automatically FFS!. Universal should me fullscreen, period.
Uhhhhh. Would you rather have a border that's a few pixels wide or would you rather have stretched sprites due to the different aspect ratios? I mean, in a game like Tiny Tower a lot would need to be re-drawn to fill the screen which increases development time and file size.
Umm, no I would rather iphone games with retina graphics display like this game does automatically, and if the dev wants to call it universal he has to put the work in just as he did when he wanted to label his iphone game retina compatible.
