I have not saved up for the 75 BUX elevator..so i cant help you there.
im in the 25 bux elevator and i want more speeeeedddd!

Out of 30 Bitizens, i only have ONE dream job placed!!!

Its the start of the Slum Lord Era...

    im going to start evicting!

    PAY YOUR RENT!

    YOU PLAY, YOU PAY!

  2. A great iPhone game, but one tip. Build enough Apartments, it is horrible to have to much Shops and to less Bitizens.

    Am i missing something here?

Is the only way to get people in the Residences is to manually push them up in the elevator?

Or paying 1 BUX to fill the slot?

My dang 16th floor residence is having a hard time filling occupancy

    Another question:

Is it better to have a bitizen with a #9 rating in a job, or a #7 Dream Job?

If that's your strategy, then you're losing money. You've got five people for every six jobs, so that means there's a three-coin job going begging every third floor. Three-coin jobs are where the money is.

That works great. I often shoot for two Flores below the desired one and then do two little taps.

Residents are hard to come by for me, after reaching 18 floors...
I think dream job would be better... because you get 2x the stock intake with dream jobs @ the same price, whereas the difference between a 7 and 9 rating is merely just 2% discount on the cost of stock intake.

What's the API call for this? I glanced through the Cocoa Touch documentation and didn't see it, but I might have missed it.

60 floors...finally got my Game Store. Seemed like I've gotten soooo many Bitizens with the Game Store dream job in the past, it was just teasing me.

Never finished the bitizen spreadsheet but came up with something even better for the game purposes since it's on my touch. Used Awesome Note to create a folder just for bitizens. Each bitizen gets a note titled with the bitizen's name and the body includes includes:

    apartment
    employment
    dream job and aptitude

Then each note is tagged with the category (food, recreation, etc.).

With the detailed view, all the information is visible in the notes list and with the search I can quickly find any particular bitizen, or all bitizens who are unemployed and focused on food jobs, or all bitizens with the dream of working at my newest floor, etc.. It's practically a mini database for the bitizens.

It took a while to set up yesterday since I waited until I had 98 bitizens, but it's been so worth it today.

    Misc Thoughts

    Hi All,

I've been playing since last week. I think the part I like best is the finding and matching people with jobs. When I first started weeding out, I evicted lower than 8s, then 9s and now a bitizen needs to have at least an 8 and a 9 or be an 8 w/dream job. I do keep a GO (general operator) Mr. Armstrong who is 77777. I had a bunch of 5s for a while to keep the nightclub open but they are all toast now. :) If I find a 00000 I think I will keep em around.

My Womens Fashion store is staffed by 3 9s who have really low scores otherwise and this amuses me quite a bit. If I get Theater dream job bitizens, I think I will put them to work in food service for a while.

Thanks for the spreadsheet! I will use it to target the combo of businesses that will be the most fun for me. I also liked the tip to change outfit colors for certain floors to make waldoing easier. Lots of other great tips both here and in the strategy thread.

When I get a waldo "The Police want to talk to X" I say "NO" and pass on the TB. It pays in the long run not to be a rat. :)

I got rid of the Fortune Teller - I want to eventually have a super smart society. That having been said, hey where are the sex businesses? <grin>

Lots of fun comments in Bitbook and one of my faves is "Anyone got a Maroon Tingo Anura"? One that made me sad (in this economy) was after I had just evicted a low score bitizen then saw that she had made a comment about being excited about her new job. :( Also, I'm now copying the poster who said they evict workers who talk smack. :D

    Here's a few questions:

    1. How long will a VIP stick around as an untouched icon before it goes away? You can't stash them indefinitely right?

    2. Can you completely demolish a floor. I don't mean change but eliminate. AKA if you have 22 floors, can you reduce to 21?

    3. What happens if you don't play for a week? All the stores will go out of stock and you'll only get rents? Can unemployed bitizens pay rent forever?

I guess my one feature request would be for "stacked backorders" where one can pay a higher price (~10%?) for multiple orders on certain items. Then as inventory for one order runs out, it is filled automatically by the backorder.

I'll live, but my biggest annoyance is all the out of stock stores in the morning and the tedium of getting inventories up. Too much like work/takes too much time. I'm at 22 floors (wanted to stop at 19 :) and for me it feels like more than that will be more work than play. I think I will focus on getting the businesses and bitizens I want. I save the top floor for the night club, then a restaurant and a chapel. All the apartments are in the middle and the remaining businesses at the bottom. I'm looking forward to basement businesses and some lobby stuff at some point.

I'm still digging Pocket Frogs (playing on 2 iPhones) and at this point I like PF better but I agree that TT has more depth. I think I'll fire up TT on another iPhone and limit this one to 5 businesses and 4 apt levels or maybe even 3 businesses and 2 apt levels. Low Rise baby!

I'm currently at 94 Dream Jobs.

I just evicted a bunch of people and paid the 1 bux to refill them over and over again until Dream Jobs matched. After a bunch of evictions, I am about 15bux richer than I started and got a few new dream jobs. Once you get enough floors, getting dream jobs is so easy with eviction "gambling"...

Edit: Wow, this is great...it seems like I don't need to leave empty spaces in my apartments to match dream jobbers anymore, since eviction gambling lets me fill dream jobs easily, while being very, very profitable.

Is there a massive spread sheet of bitizens floating around?

Is everybodys "Theresa Hughes" the same on all the devices?
Does she look the same on all devices?
    same stats?

@AuntyPalin: agreed about the 'morning routine'. I hope the devs will come up with some kind of purchasable automation or other (expensive) mechanism to help alleviate this.

Option to buy a 'manager' slot per business? 10 Tower Bux? 30?

Option to buy a one-shot 'stock controller' to stock Level One items for every store?

How about just a 'restock all' button? One tower buck per floor? 5 regardless?

i think (as many others have said) the fastest elevator should have a slower acceleration rate. The devs should make it so that it's top speed should be fast, but the start up should be slower. This way, it will be easier to get both the intricate distances between levels and also reach the higher levels- 30+
