DW it gives you an error of sort telling you that you can't demolish a floor with bitizens in it.

im still on the 1.0 version (iPad1)..i hope i dont have this bug!

Or if i do..i hope i dont encounter it.. I have 16 floors, and baby sitting my Bitizens like crazy!

    200 coins per minute! yea!
    16 floors, 27 bitizens
    25BUX Elevator (love it)

12 Bux in pocket.. holding out for the 75 BUX elevator.
    61,000 coins in pocket...

When finding a bitizen, i was tapping on a bunch of floors..
but if you just take a sec, and look for some crazy feature color that sticks out, its pretty quick to find the bitizen..but i only have 16 floors..if i had more, it might be more tedious..

Hey, I dont know if it has been suggested yet ('cuz Im a little bit lazy and don't wanna read all the thread) but I just tought about making "rush-hours", thatt would go like this :
    -food : 7 to 10 am, 11:30 to 1 pm, and 5 to 7 pm
-Retail, creative and Services : 8 am to 5pm (normal clients) and the rest of the day x0,5
    -Recreation : 6pm to 2am

During those periods, there would have more clients, which would ask the player to be more present for his tower and to do more restocking... Anyway I dont know if this would break the gameplay but it's just a suggestion :)

Has anybody tried playing entirely without food floors? They're pretty awful compared to the others, especially creative (and service).

I know the demand would drop for the others, but is there any chance that the increased average stock from having no restaurants would be worth it?

Yeah, i've been playing it a bit like go fish where if i get a 2 or 3 of the same dream jobs i'll keep them around until i get the business they are dreaming for. Feels good when it shows up and you get to fulfill 2-3 dreams immediately!

    Awesome..

I've been playing this game for 5 days now, and I must say, it's excellent. Their idea of tower bux was incredible. Not only is it so helpful, you don't have to spend real money to buy them. You sometimes get rewarded by your "elevator customers" with tower bux. Really neat. keep up the good work.!!! :):):):)

Yes! It just came out pretty recently, its called Cityville Hometown. You can't load your existing city, you have to start from scratch...which is fine by me since the convenience of having it on my phone is worth it. Plus my existing city kind of sucked.

Though I have been spoiled by Nimblebit and Trade Nations with freemium games that really emphasized FREE

There is a rating tab up at the top of the thread, thats the only thing that is anything like a 'like' function that I've seen on this forum.

  14. I've been playing this a LOT recently, completely addicted to the game. I'm on floor 25 now, so new floors are starting to take forever to appear. But sales are good. Only have five Bitizens in their dream job so far though, haven't been too lucky with the floors I have been getting I guess ;)

Really fantastic game though. I never really 'got' Pocket Frogs to be honest.

Quick question: if our bitizens are hanging out in their apartment when they are supposed to be restocking, is that a sign that they are unhappy and need replacing?

No. They are hanging out in their apartment because they get to go home like any other worker and there is zero relationship between their location and their function.

Your bitizen's aptitude determines your restocking discount, that's it. You can stock all three items in your shops, evict every single bitizen, and your stores will still run perfectly.

I've been asking myself the same question. What would happen if I zapped the least profitable food shops and replaced them with another category? Why can't my guys just go down the street or to a vendor's cart on the corner to eat?

I'm not sure I understand the premise behind "least profitable" or "pretty awful" for a business: per coin invested there is no difference in the profit of ANY store. Base cost per item, regardless of tier, is 0.6 coins. Time to manufacture item, regardless of tier, is 4 seconds. At 100% demand a store sells an item, randomly chosen from its stock, about every 7.5 seconds.

Now, that restaurant floor may be fallow more often than another floor, but it's actual *profit* - ignoring the differences of worker aptitude and dream jobbers - is exactly the same as any other business. You aren't paying the workers and your cost to stock it is identical.

Even if you magically keep a business completely stocked for 24 hours, the most you're going to make in profit per floor is about 20,000 coins (assuming 3 dream jobbers with 9 aptitude), so if you can earn 4 or 5 towerbux off of triple stocking bonuses from some of these fast cycling businesses - pretty easy in my experience - you'd have made a good 50% of what those "good" businesses make off of their sales.

There's a lot of self deception involved in the way some people approach the game's very straight forward mechanics :D

That's only true if one is able to play 24-7, which none of us can do. For people who can only log in a few times per day to play, the businesses with longer restocking times are more profitable because they have higher uptime on the stocks. This should be pretty easy to understand, especially for someone who said earlier that his goal was to reduce the micromanagement involved in how he plays the game. After awhile of checking on TT every 10m to restock goods, I think almost everyone begins to search for ways to lower the necessary time investment to play the game, while still keeping their income reasonably high.

As a side note, I think this was one of the aspects which was so great about Pocket Frogs. When you first get a game is often when you want to play it the most, and it was also when the breeding times were the shortest, so you needed to be playing more in order to maximize your income. The more you played, the longer the breeding times became, but it was likely that you no longer felt the desire to babysit your frogs for hours straight. By the end, all of your frogs take 2 days to fully mature, and you now only need to log in every other day (given that you have the babyproofing kit) to still keep a reasonable income. On the other hand, the amount of micromanagement in Tiny Towers increases as people's desire to play decreases (judging by the posts in this thread).

Evidently you don't understand the definition of the word profit versus revenue.
