I"m really really enjoying this one... I don't usually like games like this... but for some reason, this one keeps my attention. =oD

Thank you for making it free!

I think I found my most hated shop so far....Scoops! The item time is 3m, 15m, 180m. Seems like this shop is closed so often, and harder to get the Fully Stocked bonus.

It's NOT a bug. They are supposed to go home sometimes. Would you want to look at a tower where the apartments were empty 24 hours a day? If they're hired, that's all you need. Whether they are in the store, at their home, or flying around off screen on the magical unicorn just off to the right ;), it has no effect on the game (although when they're on that magical unicorn it can make the Waldo missions involving them more difficult :D)

    Because everyone works 24/7, right?

Back on topic, I'm starting to hit that wall where this game is losing its fun and charm and beginning to be more like a chore. I'm approaching 40 floors now and it's just become really repetitive. I check back occasionally to stock my stores, I'm at a rate where I build a new floor a day, and that's basically it.

    :(

The design is a lot like Pocket Frogs. You can only get so far by constant play, after that you just do exactly what you're doing: checking in as much as you feel like, but even that does progress your game. Like I pointed out in my post a page back: if you played nothing but this game 24/7 from the time it came out, were incredibly lucky, and had the concentration of Rain Man, it would still take you until sometime in August to "finish" the existing floor lineup. It's not a game you're meant to rush through or even finish, just one you're supposed to play with, so if it's turning into a chore, stop doing it :)

Wait until you get the Pub: 1, 10, 25 or Coffee House: 5, 10, 20. I've just been leaving them closed.

I do have the Pub, and a few other shops with short times. Thats not what is annoying...I don't mind those because I make quite a few Bux from the Fully Stocked bonus.

Scoops annoys me because of the huge difference in time from the 3rd item from the other 2, which results in lots of closed shop time. I get less Fully Stocked bonus too.

Heh, the Pub (along with the equally "bad" Mexican Food) has been one of my biggest towerbux generators. The tier 2 & 3 products stay in stock long enough while I'm playing and those tier 1s run out so often it's triple stock bonuses one after another.

There's a lot of strategy to manipulating the bonuses in this game. Sure, a fully stocked doctor's office with 3 dream jobbers will keep earning money for a few days without you even checking in, but if you're sitting there watching some TV and poking at the game half-paying attention, those "bad" businesses earn some considerable money for you.

For some reason, my tower isn't updating when I go to the "friends" icon in the menu.
    Was there any fix?

I was thinking of re-installing the game. But does this mean I will have to start over again?

    Thanks!

You can also remove your dream jobbers when restocking tier 1's to make it out of stock faster

The thing is, I started playing yesterday but it's been stuck on the same floor until now.

I think right now you have to be online when building a new floor for it to update.

    Huh?!

Scoops seems like the perfect shop: very long item 3 time, and very short item 1 time. Once you stock the third item, you can mash the first two to rack up the full-stocked bonus.

    No?

Yeah there's always that, I just hate seeing it closed every single time I return to the game. What kind of business can't stay in stock for 24 hours? :p

After seeing people go for the dream jobs i've been doing the same. Keeping an empty slot in all my apts and evicting bitizens that can't get a dreamjob.
I'm at 67 Bitizens with 56 dreamjobs. It's a lot of work, but it feels kinda good. And getting the 3 bux for every dreamjob is great!

The thing is, I was only checking in to this game about once or twice a day, so I can't really play any less.

Pocket Frogs had much longer longevity because once you got into the higher levels, many of the frogs had extremely long breed times. Creating what you want was much easier, too, as you just had to breed, wait, and repeat.

In this game, you can't really choose a specific type of business to build in a floor, you have to spend TB to rearrange the floors, and stock times are so varied and quite a few of them so short that you can't really just leave the game for a couple days and come back like Pocket Frogs.

I swear my frozen yoghurt store is always closed when I visit the game, and that's around once per 10 minutes
