Just wanted to say that I downloaded this game yesterday and have been playing the heck out of it. I've got 13 floors so far and saving up for a 14th. Normally I try to avoid these sort of games as they're usually thinly-veiled attempts at soliciting IAP to get anywhere but when I saw it was from Nimble Bit I had to try it and it paid off. I'm waiting to see if I'm still playing it after a week, if so I'll buy the $5 Bux package. btw - Bitbook is awesome
A few questions (and crash bug) I got a few questions and I was wondering if someone knows the answers to them; I have an iPhone 2G (the first ones that were released) and I was wondering if: -Tiny Tower could be played without Game Center? -Tiny Tower requires internet to be played? Also, for some odd reason the update didn't fix the crash-on-start bug for me. Since my iPhone's hardware is not sufficient to be updated to iOS 4.x, I am currently using jailbroken 3.1.2 Much thanks!
Any GC game can be played without GC. However, you won't have access to the game's GC achievements and leaderboards. Tiny Tower does not require internet to be played.
My Game Center achievements aren't completing. I have the 13 floors achievement and the 25 floors achievement both at 92 percent, but I have 23 floors. :/
Is there something wrong with the Game Center rankings? I noticed it's not updating how many floors I have. I have to reinstall the application for my ranking to be updated.
This has been reported about every 2.5 pages throughout this thread along with at least two confirmations that Nimblebit is on it along with a confirmation from Nimblebit (eeenmachine) a whole two posts before yours that the fix is in for the next update The incremental achievements (bitizen population and total floors) are messed up for a ton of people, myself included.
At the moment I'm at 35 floors and 21 dream jobs (out of 57 Bitizens). My goal is to get every store type, but I guess that's probably everyone's goal. If you'd like to see my tower feel free to add me at GC. My GC name is: cyrilio I'm kinda OCD myself. Sorted my apartments on top and every type of business together on the bottom. I also paint the walls to match the type they are. So food is green, service blue, retail purple etc. And when i have 3 people in the same store in their perfect job i give them the same type of clothing. This is really difficult though because you have to cycle through all the possible options. Would be nice to see NimbleBit change this. Even if it would cost some bux to do it. And by the way. I love the google page sooz made. Thnx!
The rankings say I have 45 floors, but I have 46 (almost 47 now). How out of date is your ranking data? If its only a little bit off, then its probably just the normal delay.
It's currently up to date. But that's because I reinstalled the application. Thanks for the info, though! It's nice to know that it's just delayed.
Definitely as addictive. What I'm enjoying most about the game is that there's always a lot of stuff to do. And, like PF, a neat little community has formed around the game. TA forums are the best and it's always great when devs have a presence in the fora.
I'm so freaking hooked on this game. It's impossible to ignore notifications when it's time to stock. Anyone feel free to add me to game center. I'm GoHoosiers
In the short term it's at least as addictive or more so, but I question if it will have the same longevity. The long term beauty of pocket frogs is its "infinite" (yet finite) goals and the lack of baby sitting it takes. You can set up some crazy breeding project in a few minutes and then let it run for 2 days until it's complete. The tower, with current mechanics at any rate, will grind to a halt in a matter of a day or so and the bigger it gets the longer it's going to be before there's any kind of pay off. Hopefully they've got some twists up their sleeve to unveil over the coming updates.
