Yep, it's been reported and I've experienced it once. Probably be a nice incentive to log in at least once a day once our towers get stupid in height and the bitizen populations are high enough.

 

Heh. I have a spreadsheet going too. Every business and every stock item, time to restock,and amount. It does help when I'm running low on Bitizens to see where my bit-power is best spent. It's all color coded and everything (I have to do something inbetween elevator runs after all.)

 

I think i finally settled on a good floor ordering plan. I just arrange them by 3rd item stock time (if tied, then 2nd item). I ignore the type of business. This makes using big spender VIPs a bit easier.

I used to arrange by type, but realized it wasn't benefitting

 

Put it in google docs and post a link and everyone will be your friend. =P

 

In the Tiny Tower strategy thread, there is a list of all buildings and stock times, i found it handy when organizing my tower

I used that link to help fillup my spreadsheet. But I've added the stock items and amounts (as many as I have...which isn't much.)

I think it's fun to see what the shops have as stock items.

This way you don't get any nice pattern going in the text colours! Plus your food stores will all end about halfway up the building. I'd rather have the best food joint up with the best of the other store types. Just because food happens to be cheaper doesn't mean the high quality stuff shouldn't belong in the upper class section of my building

Has anyone else noticed that. Our little elevator passengers talk nonstop while they are on the move. Either that or they are blowing bubbles.

If they are going to chew my ear off, the least they could do is give me a nice tip.

Does anyone know how the GC rankings work? What is the difference between "today" vs "all time"?

In Today i am ranked 386 but all time 627

 

It's all about style for me Even if the stock times/amounts don't match up I've got to have the five top stores for each type sitting proudly at the top

I know what you mean though, I considered your method at first. But I figured even if I went with mine the pattern would still generally be there, it wouldn't be perfect but the quick/low stock stores would still be roughly at the bottom with the slower/high stock stores roughly at the top.

 

Sooz, the formula is (Quantity = Time * 15) for everything. If you want the item names, just look into the game files. That's where I got all the information for the list. If you want, I can PM the raw data and you can sort it out if you wish.

 

Ahhh. makes sense. I never looked at it holistically that way. Sure - I have no idea how to loko at the data from the code. But I can parse it into the colorful spreadsheet if you send it to me.

 

Plant Nursery

What's with the odd restock times for the Plant Nursery?

 

I wondered the same thing. I kinda like it.

 

I have a 3G running 3.1.3. Not jailbroken.

I still cannot get this game to open. I press the icon and the loading screen shows for one second then it takes me back to my home screen. I have never gotten farther than that.

I have installed the update, and also reinstalled the whole thing. Nothing works.

Anyone else?

 

It's based on who logged a "score" *today* vs. ever (or since last Wednesday in the case of TT). Anyone who launched the game today and connected to GC will appear in the today list.

In related news, someone new is at the top with over 400 floors, yeah, sure. Really hope they wipe all these idiots from the leader boards. Not like I'm sweating my ranking exactly, but while it's fun to see where I compare with actual players, it's still a bit of a bummer to realize there is simply 0% chance for a legit player to reach the top or even anywhere on the first dozen pages since everyone in the top few hundred hacked their towerbux and/or cloned someone who did.

I don't have the GameCenter app installed. I don't even know much about it to be honest, is it possible I'm logged into it via other games I have installed? I don't know.
