This is a stupid question I'm sure...but what do you count as cheating? Is it the purchase of IAP? Or are you talking about things like that clock resetting thing? I purchased some bux...it helped me kickstart progress and it rewarded the devs. But I wouldn't consider that cheating. I'm at 33 floors/50 Bitizens... and I'm #1024 right now.
IMO IAP is not considered cheating. I do like to distinguish if IAP was used though, so I have a frame of reference. Cheating are the people who soooo many floors already, they clearly didn't spend a few hundred $$$ to buy bux and are just exploiting bugs.
I am really addicted to the game (28 floors) but at the same time I keep imagining how it could be better. Here were some of my ideas: 1) Real Time Events. Have restaurants be super crowded (ie sell all stock) at mealtimes. Gives you an incentive to make sure the best items are stocked. The possibilities are endless (bowling at night, weddings on sunday, etc.). Bitizens could mention things like this on Bitbook. 2) Sales/special events. Similar to 1) but just a little more interactivity. These could be automatic, or something that you assign. Maybe you could set one floor at a time to speed up sales. Another fun thing they could discuss on Bitbook. 3) "Hero" bitizens. Maybe you could pay money for some managers that you could name, and when they are at a store the sales are faster, and the other employees that work there would improve their skills. This would help in getting more attached to them instead of swapping anyone with less than 9 skill and a dream job you don't need. 4) As mentioned several times, the ability to move bitizens. It would add "realism" if you could get them closer to their jobs, and also allow you to leave a lot more vacancies to rotate in fresh dream jobs. 5) Variable worth of items. There is a little bit of this built in with the stock counts, but I would love it if game consoles cost more than orange tofu. I would feel more rewarded selling 10 things that cost 300 coins each instead of selling 1000 things that cost 3 coins each. 6) More animation/customization. It would be really neat if the business styles were actually different. Like restaurants would have tables, and if you had all 3 stock items the place would be full. Or at the optometrist people leaving were wearing glasses. Or at the wedding chapel they were wearing tuxes/gowns. I feel like the stagnation is all tied to the fact that every business runs/looks exactly the same (bitizens moving left to right with 1 of 3 icons). Like I said, I love the game, and I got WELL more than my $0 out of it, but without SOME added interactivity with the world I think my interest will be gone soon.
No, purchasing IAPs counts as supporting the devs. If nobody did it, they would stop supporting the game, and this thread may as well cease to exist. I'm not saying everyone needs to go out and buy some right now, but to call those people cheaters is really silly, considering they're the reason that everyone else gets to enjoy an amazing free game.
I agree. Maybe the dev can not use the iPod clock and use a in game clock. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the update!!!! That crash bug was SOOO annoying!!!!
Found a bug which prevents you from doing anything Yesterday I came into a bug which completely got me away from this game. Im no lone able to do anything in this game. The game was "running" in background and I opened it again after a few hours. During my "away time", two of my businesses run out of stock and closed itself automatically and a person arrived in the elevator and wanted to one of the closed businesses. Since the person was the last action happening or is the action with the top priority, I have to transport him before I can restock. But I cannot transport him, because the game closed the stores. There seems to be no way to change the order so that I can restock the stores, open them again and transport the person. So, Im stuck. Or, to be more precise, the game shot itself into its head.
I wouldn't want to speak on behalf of Nimblebit, but I am pretty sure this is "as designed" If you are constantly play the game, the chances are you are constantly maintaining stock levels so most likely all of your business will be open and running, when Bitizens arrive. I have encountered moments where I have seen the VIP icon appear in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. My workaround to your bug is that I do not click on it, and I will restock an expensive item and use bux to make sure there stock for the customer upsurge. Apologies if I have misinterpreted your bug, but the way I read it, I don't think it is a gamebreaker....
No, he doesnt leave the lift. I tried it several times. I found the following workaround: Delete and reinstall the game. It will restart with a savegame which is out of stock but without a person in the life. Then it works.
Ok ... so i might be being naive on this since its the 1st game like this (certainly from nimblebit) i've played .... Assuming the store allocation to a new floor is random .... i'm finding myself demolishing a store the minute it opens if i find the restocking times are low (like coffee shop) .... i know getting people in their dream job increases stock levels too (i think) but i hate having to micromanage quite that much... Therefore i would like to suggest the ability to upgrade shops that are already established .... maybe making a Coffee Shop into a 'Speciality Coffee Shop' or a Ladies Fashion store to a Designer Fashion Store which would allow for slightly longer form play Or is the expectation to churn stores as you level up? I'm on a 21floor building now but still got coffee shop on floor 20 so i got rid and am trying for something else.
Have you looked at the leader boards? The top position has over 300 floors, the most you could have, real IAP or not, is, maybe 70 floors at this point, and that would mean you've been up playing the game in a crystal meth haze 24/7. I've run the numbers and once you get a few dozen floors, it doesn't look like you can add more than four floors a day no matter how much you play, and even that will decay over time. These yahoos have found a way to hack the amount of towerbux they have (there's a screenshot somewhere back in the thread a couple of days after release of the number one guy with 134 floors then and 5 million towerbux ($150,000 worth and 40 hours of clicking buy in the IAP part of the app, did not happen legitimately ). At 300 floors, your business income will be in the tens of millions daily, but your floor costs will, if the general rate of increase holds that far out, be over 100 BILLION for a new floor. You can't have a building that tall 1 week after release by any means since even purchasing the IAP to buy such a building would take you, literally, years buying it at 1000 towerbux a pop, never mind the silliness of the cost.
Honestly, I have no clue what you are talking about: there is no relationship between open, closed, stocked, with vacancy, without vacancy, under construction, empty floor, etc. and the passengers. IF certain conditions are active when a passenger gets off, things happen: - If a residential floor has a vacancy, the passenger bitizen moves in. - If a VIP's special can be applied to the floor you let them off at, it is That's it. The "store" passengers aren't customers at all, don't buy anything, and just wander off to the right never to be seen again just as the apartment "visitors" do. And VIPs can be let off anywhere whether or not their special applies. I'm not going to question whether you did or did not have a passenger that wouldn't leave the elevator, the game undoubtedly has its glitches and maybe you found one no one else has seen before, but your assessment as to why the glitch happened is way off base. Incidentally, you could have just killed the game from the taskbar and any waiting passengers would have been gone the next time you launched it.
Return of OCD I guess we all express our OCD in different ways. I just made a list of all the bitizens working In each store to increase the efficiency of finding them when I need them. Yeah, I know, I will be revising these lists over and over again. This game really gets under a person's skin.
Some of my bitizens are celebrating their birthdays today. I got bux for each one who had a birthday. This is new to me. Anyone else have this?
Although I've only entered one bitizen so far, I did spend a few minutes beginning work on a spread sheet last night to track all of this stuff as well. Don't know if I'll finish it, but I did start it which says enough already
