None taken . . . the advantage of the small quantity businesses is that you can get lots of "fully stocked" bonuses. Usually the amount of coins is relatively small, but when you get a Towerbuck, that is worth $2,000 if you save up and trade them at the bank, and if you deploy your bux wisely in conjunction with the VIPs, and when you will be out-of-game for a long time, they can be worth much more than $2,000/per buck.
Here's something that works for me every time: 1. Open the app 2. Close the app (before it crashes) 3. Shut down the app from the tray It should work when the app is re-opened.
Would anyone else like the ability to hide the "store closed" notifications? I've taken to leaving a couple intentionally closed because they just run out too fast... but it's annoying having those icons constantly reminding me.
increased sales VIP Has anybody found a use for the "increased sales" VIP? It seems like they are good for a quick 30 or so sales on whichever floor you drop them. That seems basically worthless to me. The only advantage I can see is if you are about to leave the game for an extended period, and you have a business with only one item in stock, and only 30 units left. If you deploy the VIP, you'll instantly sell out the stock and can restock before you leave the game (assuming you can't wait for 30 sales). This seems almost useless to me, except in a few extreme circumstances. Anybody else found a way to use them productively? ******************************************************* If anyone wants to add me in gamecenter, i am: dmcintyre I'm at 34 floors--haven't used any IAP so far (they are quickly losing their value at this point in the game).
The Increased Sales VIP really does seem like the least useful VIP out there. I guess put him in a store with just Tier 3 items stocked so everyone buys that, for the most gain. But even that is pretty small. It would be nice if the boost lasted longer...
Yeah, it's the most gain in theory, especially if you restock immediately, 24/7. But in practice, the whole quantity sells out eventually, so speeding the sales by 5 or 10 minutes becomes worthless if you aren't diligently restocking as soon as you sell out. (and the money gained by those few sales is not enough to allow you to buy anything more quickly). I actually think there is greater value in just selling out any floor of a single item so that you may restock it immediately. Small value, but I think maybe the greatest value. I think that the VIP should increase sales of all stores in the same category (i.e. all retail, rec, service, food, or creative). It wouldn't make a lot of sense realistically, but it would be more interesting. It seems so useless as a VIP, that I wondered if there was some game mechanic that I was missing (for example, relating to how the rate of sales functions).
Lol, my wood shop stock is so amazingly huge (3rd item: 4950x2!?) and rarely requires me to restock it Ah, that problem... slow down a bit. For some reason (perhaps I play too much?) I kinda 'feel' where the floors are and just slow down before reaching them. From the dev, either play with wifi/3G or without GC. Signing out of it will do. Oh and problem/bug: Example: carry VIP to 10 floor, press no to get off (accidentally), try to bring him/her back to the 10th floor and the elevator will just sit there. No dialogue pops up to ask if I want the VIP to get off at that floor.
I'm at 24 floors and still really enjoy this game. I threw $5 to the developers as a thank you. I only recently noticed that you can tap the icons at the bottom of the screen to jump directly to the floor with the event taking place (out of stock, store closed, etc).
The bank's trade-in rate of buck is 2,000/buck only if you're cashing in 50 at a time. One buck is 250 coin.
Bring your VIP to another floor you don't want, click NO, and then bring it back to the floor you want...it will let him get off then
Yes, that's why I said "if you save up and trade them at the bank". The point is that the low volume business still have value, because let's say if you are able to get even two or three bux per day from fully stocking the store, that can translate to $6,000+ which is a lot. And because much of the value is in stocking bonuses, they are good for stashing workers that are good at other jobs, but only OK at the low-paying job. It allows you to develop quicker, and staff new high volume businesses quicker.
Very minor bug, but I forgot to post it when I was on my 16th tower.... Jackie Bates' dream job is racquetball, currently works there and is happy as shit, but doesn't want to work there too long?
Ha, just goes to show that a dream job is still a job. I've had the same thing in reverse where people said on bitbook that they just got their dream job working some place, but it was not technically their "dream job".
I'm thinking about purchasing the $5 IAP. To anyone who purchased IAP, what did you buy with it? Is it worth it?
1. I bought the 3rd, then 4th lv elevator upgrade with it. 2. I hate to say it, but the purchase was unnecessary, as you can earn 100 bux in approx 2 days. I made the purchase to support the devs and speed up progress. Was it worth it? Well, it sure was, because I play the game a lot and the elevator upgrades were very beneficial to me. Though IMO the most rewarding part of the IAP is this message: I've never seen any dev put up a thank you message with IAP purchases.
The Game Center App is working for me, sort of - it opens, but the 'last played' times are wrong, and it says 'unable to load friends' and 'unable to load friend requests' when I click on those. I can't access it from in game - 'could not connect to game center server'. I assume it's a problem with Game Center rather than with Tiny Tower...
Yes, I think mine is also a problem with Game Center itself, rather than just Tiny Town. I tried logging into GC through my iphone applications, and mine just says "Could not connect to Game Center", nor will it let me create an account (says its Unavailable). I used to connect fine when i played Pocket Frogs, but that was several months ago. If I ever find a solution to fixing GC, I'll let you know!
Does anybody else feel guilty when you leave the game and you left someone waiting for the elevator? I often find myself going back and giving them a ride before I leave for a while Might just be me..
