I am doing OK in this game, I just started and have 5 floors, 1 being residential. I am finding it hard to earn money. I get like 1k per hour. What are you guys's strategies?
At the beginning I just made sure everything was stocked the whole time and started saving those bux for a cash injection. Sounds like you don't have enough staff though so your next floor should be apartments.
$200,000 a day from tips? Ok seems like most people right now who don't purchase bux are at about 25-30 floors. For arguments sake, lets say you're at 30 floors. Going by averages, you're getting roughly 30 bux per trip. That is over 6,500 elevator trips a day. Sorry, if I'm going to sit there and do 6,500+ elevator trips a day, $200K definitely is not worth it to me...
Very annoying bug just happened. This morning when I woke up, I checked my tower expecting a massive coin increase as well as the rent being paid. Yesterday night was the first time I went to sleep with everything in full stock, so I was excited to see how much money I would make. But to my surprise, I was still at a bit over 30K. In addition, none of my stock seemed to have sold- if they did at all, it was very minimal. Also, I did not receive that message that I got paid rent. It seemed like the game totally froze in time last night. Later, at breakfast, I started up the game again, and I got the rent message, and then I find a ton of stores need restocking. However, my coin count was STILL just at a little bit above 30K. What gives? I really expected I could have bought another floor to construct by now, but now I'm set back big time. Also, I'm going to Europe and Asia soon and I'm going to be switching my time quite a bit. I know that switching my time forward, I'll have some advantages in the game, but what happens on my return trip when I have to switch time backwards?
Tried to delete my photo studio to get something different (still in creative) but each time (I tried 4 times) I got the photo studio again and again ! Don't know if it's a bug but it's really annoying...
I absolutely love this game. Saved 50 bux and got the 100k coins yesterday at night (I wouldn't go to sleep until I got the bux lol) and today the game started crashing ): It's fixed now tho (just waited a bit). Also higher skill level bitizens are much better, the only problem is that I got attached to my bitizens and can't evict them, they are just so cute, is it only me?
You mean 30 coins per trip. I think he's including bux though, it wouldn't be impossible to sit and play enough to conjure up 100 bux in a day then convert it into $200,000, but it's pretty hardcore nonetheless.
No, that's not what I said at all. I get at least 100 towerbux a day (not just in tips, including stocking bonuses as well), which is $200,000 in coins. It's not much work at all to make that kind of money so while I'm sure I do have the app open more than most, it's hardly like I'm just sitting there ferrying people. I sit and watch the kids and/or TV for a few hours and do the odd jobs half paying attention. My guesstimate is that you make around 25 towerbux per hour of playing. Not hardcore at all, it's about 4 hours in all, most of which is spent watching TV or listening to news podcasts and audiobooks.
I suppose it's how you look at it, I play Tiny Tower in 5-minute segments so 4 hours is something like... 48x longer.
Not really anything to do with how you look at it since it's just a matter of time spent in the game. I've been amused by the game so I've probably played it for 4-5 hours a day since it launched, but most of that is also in short bursts. Still, throw in an hour watching Jon Stewart and Colbert while I half pay attention, or an hour on the couch with my kids while they watch Sponge Bob and I listen to news and, poof, I've got close to another 50 towerbux in addition to whatever I've picked up throughout the day. Based on some testing I did this morning, I'd say it's quite easy to make at least 10 towerbux from ferrying tips, Waldo missions and stocking bonuses for every half hour spent with the game running unless you're just ignoring it, and if you're paying a bit more attention, my guesstimate of 25/hour is probably about right. Now, if you're just checking in to restock things once an hour, sure, you won't be making that kind of bux. However, since the game doesn't require your complete attention, it's easy to leave on in the background while you do stationary activities giving it your attention only in very short bursts as something needs restocked or you feel like ferrying someone. If that's hardcore, hey, whatever. I jumped at this game as a fluffy break from hurting my brain figuring out all the new alts in Bug Heroes - now *that* is a game that takes away your time
Could someone post screenshots of the upgraded elevators? I kinda like the colors of the 75Bux elevator and am not sure if I want to upgrade past that one. (Or is it possible to paint the elevator once you upgrade to a certain point?) Thanks!
Yeah. Depends how you view the game. View it as something you can spend 4 hours a day in = mo' money.
This game really needs a trading or sharing function in it like Pocket Frogs. Maybe you could send bitizens over to help the other person restock or build faster. I think that would be really awesome.
Ah, thank you very much. I had thought there were 2 after that one, apparently I read something wrong somewhere. I love this game so much, I've killed my iPod's battery twice while playing.
