Ever since I built my 8th floor, I never seem to get asked to give elevator rides any more. Is this normal?
@ mozface just delete the floor. You get to rebuild floors you delete for free. Just yesterday I deleted 14 of my 20 floors just to see what new floors I'd get.
but don't you use money to rebuild the floor again ? D: and the time taken . 4 hourssss of my life. =.=
no, I just never get asked to ride people on the elevators any more. No VIPs or regular riders. none in like over a day now.
No it doesn't cost money again only the time it takes to rebuild. (that's why I reset all my buildings before I went to sleep then when I woke up they were all done ready for peeps to move in to there new work places)
Alright then, i'll do it and see. Thanks loads for reading tht long problem ! anyways, i'll show u the print screen.
Bingo. And if that doesn't appeal to you in any way, you'll want to go play something else. This is less a game about meeting challenges but more of a "charming something to do virtual 'pet'". Tiny Tower is a very polished exercise in minimalist game design and that's not going to appeal to everyone any more than a hardcore rogue game where "when you die you die and that's all there is to it" game is going to appeal to everyone.
26 floors - 40 bitizens. What are your opinions - save up for the 75 bux elevator or just keep buying floors? The 25 bux elevator used to feel zippy...but with 20+ floors it takes a long time for that thing to travel the full height of the building. On the other hand...I want that darn Mapple store. ____ GC: sooooz
Yeah, I'd go for that next elevator. Just don't spend any bux and focus on bringing in people that fit your businesses. I'm going after that 125 elevator now. Increasing the probability of vips, tips and new bitizens coming are totally worth having a zippier ride.
Elevator all the way. I had max elevator before I hit floor 20 (which, it turned out, was definite overkill, but now that I'll soon ding 30, quite happy with it). I didn't even trade in for coins until I already had the 3rd elevator, and one coin trade in, and then it was max elevator. In my opinion, the reason to focus on upgrading elevators is that the faster elevator reduces tedium so you're more likely to find it enjoyable leaving the game running while you pay attention to other things (like this post) and ferrying passengers when you get the "ding". That winds up bringing in a ton of towerbux from ferrying tips, the extra Waldo missions you'll get because the game is open, plus the increased chance of towerbux from stocking bonuses since you'll wind up paying better attention to that. I've been making at least 100 towerbux a day since I got this game, and while the elevator speed is only weakly directly responsible for that, it's a huge indirect contributor to that sort of income.
I have the 125 bux elevator, I didn't buy any bux. It changes the graphic of the elevator and moves pretty fast, though it really is a hassle making minor adjustments if you're 1 floor off. IMO its worth it, since new floors are costing well over $100K now. I constantly use the elevator...not because of the measly dollars and tips, which don't amount to much, but because I'm constantly evicting and getting new residents, so for that aspect it is well worth it. Currently at 32 dream jobs out of 39 residents. I didn't browse the whole thread, but it seems the fastest way I am making bux is to assign dream jobs for the 3 bux bonus. Even if I have a perfect 9/9/9 dream job team and I come across another dream jobber for the same store with a lower rating, I stick him in there for the 3 bux before evicting him. EDIT: and to switch the subject, I love Bitbook, I hope they add more comments in the future since they get recycled frequently. One of my favorite comments is "turtles all the way down"
Not true at all. I'm making $200,000 extra a day from those tips that "don't amount to much". Which is why I can't figure out dbhjed's repetition that it isn't worth trading them in... $200,000 a day is roughly the equivalent of 7 businesses run *perfectly* (e.g. somehow magically having all 3 products always in stock). In practice, it's more like the equivalent of 10-15 floors of businesses. Since you only need a handful of bux to move in renters, rearrange floors, etc., just when is it not worth it to make $200,000 a day? "Oh, oh, trading in those towerbux for coins so tedious, *those* four button presses are just more than I can handle"
Sounds like you're just playing more than some people. I usually make around 30 bux a day from elevator rides and I suspect a lot of people open the app less than I do.
