I've got the $25 elevator, 20 floors and is currently planning to shell out some $$$ for the $75 one (impatience, addiction, showing support for dev). Spoiler Though if I can convince myself to get the most expensive IAP then I'll also get the $125 elevator. Can you plz post a video or some sort featuring the $125 elevator in action?
I think this is something that should also be put in the op a lot of people are asking questions about that. Is there an iOS game that allows you to do this?
Legends of Yore allows you to, but it does so by allowing you to store your save on its own server. It's totally feasible. And Legends of Yore is pretty awesome if you like rogue-likes.
Is anyone else having this "invisible neighbors" issue? I go to see my friends, but only 4 or 5 of the tallest towers are visible. I can tap to go to the others, but they are invisible on the initial screen (including mine). Looks like it only started happening after I broke 40 or so friends on GC. I tried closing out, clearing memory, and restarting, but nothing has fixed it.
You don't need a jailbroken device, all you need is a program like ibackupbot Just google it and you'll find all you need to know. You can't edit anything on your device, though.
I've played this game again after the advice in this thread and now I've built 7 floors in total and the construction is ongoing. I kinda get the fun of this game. Still one problem. Why 4 of the 7 floors are closed? I did nothing wrong to the floors. Strange thing is that there are still bitizens moving and living in the floors.
Have those floors just run out of stock? You don't get a notification when this happens, but the three little icons on that floor showing stock won't be lit up if it's out of stock.
You need to keep the floor stocked with inventory. All you have to do is: 1) Tap on closed floor 2) Pick an inventory item a) You need employes working to stock b)If you don't have any Hit the hire button c)Pick a Bitizen 3) Tap "Yes" to the stocking fee 4) Wait until it is stocked 5) Tap the brown box "Re stock" Button 6) Profit
Posted a graph of a 21 floor tower and amount each floor is visited by passengers. 100 recorded passengers in total. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=98289 Did it to confirm if some floors were being frequented more often then others. My assumption seems to be correct. Also, prolonged play seems to increase the chance of getting bux... no data on this ATM though.
It is all random, it is like flipping a coin 100 times, your not going to get 50 heads and 50 tales it is going to be skewed.
No, are you switching between iPad and iPhone, or trying any time exploits? When you enter the game for the first time after 12:00am you will get a pop up saying how much rent you got.
I know this is 'supposed' to be random, but after seeing certain floors visited several times while others not (as seen in graph) I'm convinced that there is a trend going on. Try not to disprove things just because 'they are random'. You can see from 100 elevator passengers that most floors get visited by ~4 passengers while some have double that amount. Of course, I'm aware that 100 passengers and 20 floors (discounting ground floor) aren't enough data for a fair test. More will be conducted later on.
It is random. a function that uses a random command between the choices of floors you have. I can code this out in C++ for you int Totalfloors = "Floors in tower"; int Chosenfloor = 0; ChosenFloor = rand() % Totalfloors + 1; It is random and there is my proof The only way I can really disprove that is to cite the source, but I don't have access to that. But if you want I can make a program that picks a number up to a certain amount, and list what happens a guaranty you it will not be even across the board, some will get hit more than others. Also Eeen said it in the Beta group I was in:
Yeah I know this stuff is random but when I see some floors getting a lot of hits then I figure that there might be a pattern and it also seems to be consistent. Anyway, is anyone else having difficulties in getting new residents? Will I attract more residents if I have jobs available? (demand=supply?)
No, it is random. The higher up you go it add more numbers to choose from. I found it faster just to pay the Bux to move someone in then wait for them to move in after the tower gets high enough As hard as you try this game will still remain a Time Management game with IAP, it is not a sim game Read the image below
I've been playing for a couple of days now. 22 floors, no IAP. I'll probably buy some eventually to support the devs, but, like Pocket Frogs, this is appears to be one of the rare freemium games that doesn't need it. Cheers.
