Just wanted to chime in and say I'm loving the game, but a better way to sync the game between iPad and iPhone would be appreciated. My iPad is stuck at hours back in my game
I'm going to be purchasing a floor five soon-should I get another residential or put in a store even if I can't fully employ it until I have more residents?
Do residents. They give you 100$/day at least (rent). Better to have fully staffed stores ahead than understaffed.
I like to have 3 more residents than I can currently employ. This allows me to continuously evict until I get 3 bitizens with an 8 or 9 in a single business type (whichever I'm currently lacking or targetting).
As was said, go residential. Residents earn you money without any more effort than logging in once a day, while a non-staffed store earns bupkiss, and under staffed stores earn a lot less. Also, as was suggested, extra bitizens gives you the overhead to evict and replace while you seek better fits for your businesses.
I'm for this... If there's a need to restrict the amount of data coming in from user's devices, you could restrict the frequency allowed, similar to what Sony does with the PSN cloud saves. Allow unlimited (or a few times a day?) backup/pushes to the cloud, but only allow users to restore/pull from the cloud once per 24 hours. It would eliminate save scumming, and still allow people to easily transfer their towers if the need arose.
Found a bug with achievement "Tiny Village" : I've got 18 bitizens but the achievement doesn't unlock. Also you say a bitizen in residential earns you 100$ per day, so in my case (I've got 18 bitizens) I will earn 1800$ every 24h ?
I just noticed something AWESOME. You only need a store to be staffed while you're producing an item. So while a level three item requires three staff members at the store to produce, once the item is produced you can move them to a different store and the item will remain at the store, and continue to be sold. I imagine you need to leave at least one bitizen at the store to keep it open. So you can shuffle level 8/9 employees around. It's super helpful while you're waiting for newly built apartments to fill up, and awesome when combined with certain stores that have HUGE inventory counts, like the soda brewery (stocks 1500 level 3 items).
I have the same problem-- my GC achievement is stuck at 93%, even though I already have 15 people. Yes, you'll get 1800 every 24 hours. But it's really easier to make money if you just have stores that are employed with 3 people. 3 people lets you have 3 products, with the third selling for 3 coins each. It adds up pretty quickly. That's if you want to come back regularly to restock, though. Unrelated: I just wanted to say that this game is super addictive. The durations between restocks are perfect for a student. I can play in between classes or when I have breaks. It's kind of evil, actually.
I didn't see that they had replied they don't support it. It would be a huge plus for me. That stinks... I want to play on my iPad more almost, the big screen is so nice. But I also wanna play through the day little bits.
More micro than I can stomach, but I'm sure there's someone who will figure out to min-max this little bit of game mechanics into mega-tiny towerdom. I'm just happy I've managed to get triple 9s in each of my 5 stores, and I've got enough resident overhead, I should be able to keep this up throughout the next 5 businesses (got 4 apartments already, and a 5th that will finish construction in about 40 min, and I should have enough to start the 6th business before I go to bed).
It's not THAT much micro. I'm noticing that the apartments take a decent amount of time to fill up, unless you want to pay bux to add renters. Super easy to reassign a few people from one shop to the other, and often the level 3 items take foreeeeever to sell out. Especially once you have a few stores of a given type. 1500 men's suits? Yeah... they're gonna be there awhile.
This game is awesome. I can't put it down. I hope they add more social features and new building types to this game!
Just bought the 100 Bux package for $4.99 to support NimbleBit. Keep making awesome games! (Because of this, I got 100k more coins as well as the second elevator upgrade. The coins mainly because of an accident, heh heh.) EDIT: To those wanting to see my tower, I'm PootyforNicky on Game Center.
