I think one reason they changed it is this evens up the number of floors at 28 per type ( I think).

Tiny Tower: 5th Anniversary Edition (by NimbleBit)

    Ouch, nice catch.
I didn't notice the flat fee was gone with the update, not cool :(
I also didn't use it yet, but saw it as a way to maybe one day go back to a complete tower.
It introduced a balance to the ballooning cost of the floors, as you say.
4k Bux was 40 missions past floor 89, so it was doable in a few days for a committed player.

Now the 20 million coins for a floor that I had in my 200 floors tower would cost 40k Bux which is just silly.
I know you may catch a few whales, but at 25k Bux for 30€/$ it's basically out of the question for any reasonable person to use Bux to build a floor in the end game.
So you're back to coins and it's a new floor every 5/7 days :/

With the update, did the missions also scale up past floor 90, or are they still capped at 100/50 Bux?
If there's no cap for the floor building, I feel there shouldn't be a cap for the missions too. Finding stuff in a 200 floors tower takes way more time than in a 100 one.

Anyhow, I had an almost complete tower, I won't do it again.
I'll just enjoy rebuilding a few more times :)

I understand that balancing an in game economy is trickier than it looks and a headache provider, not sure there is one good solution for every player anyway.

The coin conversion stuff is being rebalanced to scale with tower size in the next update to make it at least on par with the build with bux cost that was there previously. Thought I had posted that here sorry if I didn't.

@eeenmachine I've seen a couple VIPs with slow elevators. Will you consider giving them a boost? Cheers.

They can use all the extra bux they're earning to upgrade them! :)

Question : what happens if I delete a floor where I have a golden ticket?
I guess I get the golden ticket back?

I would like to change the floors where I've put the GT on my iPad's tower.
Now that it's 80 floors, I use the restock button so I don't need more than one golden shop, and even that isn't really interesting with a floor cost in the 4 millions.

    Hi Eeenmachine,

My mom has this old iPod Touch (iOS 5) running Tiny Tower version 2.2.11, which is why she can't update because later updates requires higher iOS versions IIRC.

Anyway, I asked her to download the updated Tiny Tower on her iPhone so that she can play the new version, but Tiny Tower can't seem to detect her old tower, which has 192 floors. If I go to her tower and click on "View Past Towers" it says not past towers found. I would like her to Rebuild and get those golden tickets if possible.

Is it maybe because the version on her iPod Touch is too old?

Her friend code is 19QYY (on the new one). It's fuzzy for me since I've not been playing for a long time, but on her iPod Touch there's a code NB: FTRJIUH. I assume this is the friend code on the old version.

Anyway, just wanted to know if it's an issue or it's because of the low version of the iPod Touch's Tiny Tower that's causing this.

Finally, I wanted to say thank you for updating my favorite game after 5 years! I've bought the VIP package on the first day and it's worth every cent!

Love your games, keep 'em coming! We all want that Pocket Planes 2!

    Thks :)

I didn't notice that one could reorganize its tower quite easily by deleting shops or apartments.
You just have to wait until the new floor's rebuilt.
But you don't have to pay anything again.

If you're VIP, you might choose better shops than some of those you already have for instance.
    Oh, well :D

I got my towere from my iPad1 running iOS 4.3.3. I did have a newer tower on a newer iPad but it could only find my iPad 1 tower on game centre. That's the key, to make sure it has logged into Game Center on your old device with the same Game Center ID. Earn some coins for a bit to get it to save and then load up TT using the same Game Center id. It should have a pop up saying it detected a newer saved game.

Caveat, my iPad 1 no longer is able to connect to Game Center and I still have my older tower only. There may also be a round about way with iTunes backups but my iPad 1 has trouble with the latest iTunes too

I think the total number of costumes wasn't updated in the last release. It is saying that I have 147/149 costumes but I have 5 locked costumes still to get. By my reckoning, I think there's 152 costumes assuming my 147 costume count is correct.

Love the changes made to the 5th Anniversary Tiny Tower

One thing on my wish list:

The ability to send a VIP to a friend also. Sometimes the lobby is full of Celebrity Dream Makers or Contruction Workers that I currently don't need. I hate deleting them, but I always want to keep room for when the Big Spenders come to visit. It'd be nice to send or receive VIPs.

Thanks for reading and my apologies if I'm not posting on the forum correctly. I haven't posted in a while.

    Favorite Bitizen

Food for thought. If I ever rebuild my tower (currently at 212 floors) I would like to be able to take my favorite Bitizen with me. "Dianne Butler" was my very first dream job Bitizen (with a 9 skill set) and after all these years I have grown very fond of her. She always shows up for work, is never late, and restocks efficiently.

I would hate to lose her!

Send her to a "friend". Then have your "friend " send her back

I did start sending some bitizens I liked to my "retirement" tower but in the end, I evicted them ...
