Maybe a bit too OP if you have even a single golden residential floor. You could just fill up on 9999 bitizens

Given that gifted bitizens can't be maxed I would think that that would be the case.

I imagine it wouldn't be too costly given that it takes 10 bux across two devices and a bit of hassle to move bitizens. I did that for three floors and then I gave up.

VIP Pack with Bux (no ads)

When the VIP special was offered I purchased it. It was not a consumable (a big plus) since I hoped to play TT (like the original) for a long time. NB has received money from me for every game I've played. Devs need income or they don't develop so I like to do my part.

What I didn't understand at the time was about the VIP description in the app, no longer visible, which read "bux(no ads") essentially meant NO bux that ads would have garnered. IMO, anyone who didn't want ads could just ignore them but it seemed illogical to eliminate the bux that came with them so I didn't ask. Now I'm getting no ads & also no bux (that I can see) when the game is open, obviously.

Can someone who bought the VIP pack recently clarify how the bux (no ads) works for them or any VIP comment on this? Or maybe NB could be helpful in this regard.

Instead of watching an ad to get the 20 bux when the pop up comes you get 20 bux instantly. Make sure ou have video offers turned on in settings.

Yep, just turn on video offers, and you'll get 20 Bux each time with no ads. And a nice thank you from NB in the box ;)
I do get a lot of them, 10 and maybe 20 a day if I keep my device on TT.
I just hope it prevents the ads to load up in the background so that they don't end up taking a lot of memory cache. I'll check later the memory usage of TT.

Alas, good news for NimbleBit, it looks like that the VIP sale was successful, at least with the TA enthusiasts crowd.
I now have 24 golden names in my friends list when I had maybe half a dozen before.

It's smart mixing the cosmetic bonus with some real gameplay advantages like no ads, triple daily Bux and rent. This will make a huge difference in the long run. After 3 months of play, you should get almost 1000 Bux a day!
NimbleBit could even have added a golden ticket in the VIP package, so that players who are still reluctant to rebuild get a taste of what the advantages are.

The alphabetized bitizen list in 3.1.1 should make "Find Me" mission free money.

There could be nice if the statistics come back to the game. Some info could be: best floor income from today and all time, total of rent and rent of the last 24 hours, total income of the last 24 hours and alltime. And some graphics for see the evolution.

Also, is there a way to know which type of floor is currently building?
Am I missing sthg obvious or is it intended to let us remember?
In the beginning of the game when you may have many floors building at the same time, it could be useful to have an indication on the floor to know which type it is.

One small tip. If you use the Celebrity to make a Dream jobber go ahead and make them unemployed, then rehire them. This way you will get the five bux. I know at this stage five bux ain't much but hey it's free money. JMAC TT code 5S96.

Thx for the info & I did have video offers turned on. My basis was having the iPad on for 40 minutes in the beginning of the day (when I normally get ads 3 or more times) with no change & no offers. When I've had offers pop up later in the day at least one was 10 bux. Guess I need to be more mindful!!

After totally completely my TT years ago, all gold, all level 10, I feel like a newbie again - asking rather than answering questions!

Thx to you as well, Vic, as well as your commentary on the VIP offer.

Meanwhile, this here newbie graciously received a 99999 Frozen Yogurt bitizen from you. I figured I'd open a space in a store where I really needed a 9, move this 99999 to the open space, then change it to a DJer. Guess it doesn't work that way. :( The "ironman" totally disappeared (probably went to someone more savvy than me;) ).

So, jump in anyone, how should I have "played" this?

Also, building only "red" stores (I think I read this as a tip in this forum a bit before deciding to d/l the update). Does anyone know the best ones of those for stock?

I've added a handful of names I recognized from previous NB games. I'll do the best I can to gift but I've never had a native 99999 (how's that done? luck? special move?) so I'd only be able to send a DJer if I had him/her. When I have more to give, I'll add more people or add anyone who gifts me. I may not be a fast player but I am a fair player & try to return favors.

I did the same thing with my first gift. What you have to do is put it in an apartment with an open slot then deploy it where it's needed. I watched my first gifted bitizen dance to the right and disappear.

This seems to only work if the bitizen hasn't already got their 5 bux from a previous dream job. I have shuffled bitizens around and used a celebrity and it doesn't give you another 5 bux

Thx for making me feel not so bad about wasting an incredible 99999 which I've never seen in the wild. Do they exist? Are they "created" somehow? Can they be replicated? And what about Naomi...

Sent you an Animation Studio bitizen at 5S96 for it looked like you needed it. BTW, are you also 15N1?

We are bitfriends from many NB games. Yes, I played PP (haven't for a while) but I was an avid PF player, TTV (still do- mainly reciprocate), & was an avid TT player of the original version. Like someone suggested here, while at home or work, I keep the game open.

p.s. To all: I figured out my "ad" no bux problem. It was because I hadn't exited the program since I made the VIP purchase. Duh

Tiny Tower: 5th Anniversary Edition (by NimbleBit)

Yeah the 99999 tanks come from golden apartments.
Bitizens going there via the elevator or the "fill the apartment VIP" get all their stats maxed.
My iPad tower has 3 golden apartments that I try to keep empty, so I send a lot of tanks out as gifts.
And with the new celebrity VIP power, I am able to Frankenstein manufacture a 99999 dream jobber of any shop I already have :) Just put a random 99999 bitizen in the shop and use the VIP.

Look a few pages back, I explained how you are able to move a bitizen between floors quite easily by gifting him/her back and forth between 2 separate devices (either with a friend, or if you have 2 different towers on 2 devices) ;)

Moreover If you farm VIPs by leaving the device on TT, it's making the process of getting 99999 dream jobbers for a new shop easy.

Even as a long time TT and TTV player I too forgot that in TT you employ bitizens from the apartments, while in TTV you employ them from the lobby (because the Vegas tower is a hotel, while the other is not, so you play them differently).

So, a lot of us probably lost one of our first 99999ners. (I also lost a couple DJ VIPs too, before I understood how they worked). :p
