What does it mean when someone's got a gold name on my friends list?

If you have golden tickets and reset, do you get new tickets and keep the old ones as well? Like if I have two tickets already and reset when I have 50 floors will I get 3 tickets or just 1?

I think you should make it $10-15. My friend and I were talking and we would buy it for that and I want to give you guys some money for this game but I hate buying consumable purchases, and the VIP is just much too expensive. (I think even $20 is asking too much). Maybe if it had more perks it would be worth 20 at the most. Not trying to demean the game, just being realistic.

I was getting a "store not available" error then realized it was because I had disabled IAP on my phone. Must have missed the $19.99 period for my game. Bummer. Looks like I'll be waiting for it to maybe go on sale (I'd give $20 to support these guys but $40 seems a tad too steep for cosmetics)

Tiny Tower: 5th Anniversary Edition (by NimbleBit)

    Small suggestion:
For the missions, past 70/80 floors, the find X items or dudes missions can be very annoying depending on what you're searching for.
I know you are able to skip them.
But sometimes on my 200 floors tower, I would find 6 out of 7 items, and it was frustrating to go over the whole tower again.

You could help the player who's stuck, using the next elevator floor number as a hint :
i.e if you found more than say 3/4th of what you were searching for the mission, the next Bitizen on your elevator will go to a floor near where one of the last items are instead of a random one.
Not sure if it's hard to implement, but it could be a nice Easter egg type of thing :)

Agreed. While I think the the best price should be $15, If it went on sale for $20 in the next few days I would buy it. And I think $20 should be the standard, non sale price.

I know what you mean. The reward is nice but geez it's hard sometimes. I've painted my residential floors one colour and that helps a little bit but man it is a strain on my eyes.

I need a little help from the forum. I'm sitting at 216 floors and I'm seriously thinking about starting again. If I wait till 250 to get the fifth golden ticket it will take me at least 3 1/2 months. If I start my rebuild now I think I can get to 50 and keep rebuilding faster. My only trepidation is I spent years off and on building the max tower available with all dream jobbers ( most of them 9 ), and would hate see it imploded. With the new celebrity DJers will be easier to come by as long as NB doesn't change that. I started to enjoy the fifth anniversary update but am already feeling bogged down. What to do, what to do.

    Rebuild!

You'll have way more fun ;)
I hesitated too, but I don't regret it one second. The 216 tower is a finished game, you have hardly anything to do in it anymore, besides waiting and maybe replacing a DJer by a DJer with better stats lol.
Golden tickets are a huge help in the beginning, celebrity VIPs make it way easier to get DJers.
And friends gifts help you fill the blanks quickly.
My rebuilt tower from sunday morning has already 36 floors and is almost filled with DJers.

And you should be able to have a look at your legacy tower in the rebuild menu/past towers when you feel the need ;)
In any case, maybe do an itunes or icloud backup of your device if it reassures you?

I'm of the opposite. I want to get to 250. I'm upgrading dream jobbers. I had a complete tower before but since the new tiny tower came about, I lost some floors, costumes, even gained an Uncle Sam but he reverted back to a lady now.

I'm enjoying my style of play but that's me. I haven't been so engaged in this game for ages. Got a second tower where I'm going for golden tickets but I don't load that enough to make much progress. I'm definitely a completionist, to the point that I like to try and get the same white haired female bitizen working in the glass studio

I think they must be VIP members.

One idea: I'd be great to have a -1 Floor where you can train the bitizens to have better stats. Also the stats could affect to the sales, for example one bitizen with 9 points could sell the items quickly than one with 0 points. The discount it's insignificant at this moment.

A way to train bitizens would be pretty cool...

thanks for the input Vic and Floppy, I think I will crash this tower and rebuild. I did back up my tower just in case. I'm still a little torn because technically a complete tower is now 225 and I'm quitting at 216 with one being built and somehow with my OCD I feel the need to build the last 8 floors. But by the time I do that NB will add more floors and I'll never be finished. I just think I'll be more engaged with a new tower as opposed to waking up "stock all", wait till first break "stock all", repeat three or four times a day while I wait 4 to 5 days for the coins to build another floor.

Ooh, I see the raffle changed from 1/1000 to 1/500. Just doubled my odds.

Hint hint nudge nudge, say no more say no more ...

I'll stop swapping out my bitizens if that's the case

Or could this be what celebrities are going to bring now?

Good luck to Ye. It's a different kind of OCD. Seeing Huttican power through the golden tickets makes me want to do the same too. I can see it getting out of hand though ...

It takes me two days for a floor. Four days for enough coins, four for bux. I broke that cycle unfortunately...

As I said on Twitter, a Disco VIP would be cool (hi, Disco Zoo!). Send him/her to a floor, money produced would double (and a party will start at that floor!) for a defined time.

Also, I know it requires a lot of work (and NB lacks the programming force to do it), but I'm missing the Vegas mini-games (slot machines, blackjack and pocker). It would be awesome to have floors with mini-games (really simple ones, Wario Wares-like). For example, at the hot-dog joint, you could play a mini-game about putting ketchup and mustard to a hot dog (sliding with your finger in a wavy fashion over a hot-dog).

Since I know it's impossible, and I can't pitch the whole idea to NB, I just wanted to tell it here, to see what other people think.

Anyway, the game is great, and improved a lot with the update. ;)
