You are 100% right that this game is nothing more than a time waster, but I happen to enjoy this time waster so I will continue to play it.
Woohoo! 600K rent. Gotta go for a million. I do think that the celebrity is a bit powerful but no complaints here. I got a bitizen who had some good stats except they didn't have 9 in their dream job so I used the celebrity to change their dream job to another that had a 9. Hello 2100 coins rent!
Seems to be something lost in communication. Not knocking the game, knocking the notion that a randomly occurring VIP that switches the dream job of *one* bitizen to the shop they're currently working in could ever be considered so powerful that Nimblebit would need to nerf and/or make less frequent. It's a silly notion on the face of it - this is a game without even a semi serious nod to challenge, competitiveness, or balance, it's a just a thing to be played (or not) for whatever silly reasons amuse the person playing it. With the blessed addition of the "Stock All" button, I was finally able to return to my tower after literal years of not touching it and enjoying it again.
How does the Celebrity VIP work now? Do I take the Celebrity to a residential floor or a business floor? Do I get to selection the Bitizen, or is it random?
Business where one or more of the employees are NOT dream jobbers for that business. The Celebrity will swap one of them to have the business as their new dream job. You do not have any input.
Tiny Tower: 5th Anniversary Edition (by NimbleBit) Between the new celebrity VIP power, being able to move bitizens between floors with my 2 devices, my 99999 tank factory, leaving the iPad on TT to farm ViPs when I'm home... ...my rebuilt tower on the iPad (code 10Z5, 5 golden tickets, 3 apartments and 2 shops) of 54 floors is now fully 99999 dream jobbed for each shop lol. I was tempted to rebuild it, but 5 golden tickets feel enough. I saw Huttican speed run to 50 floors again and again and already having 8 GT lol. So I decided instead to rebuild and try to speed run my beta tower on the iPhone (code 10z9), which was 70+ floors, and each shop upgraded to level 5, and full of 9 DJers. I sent a bunch of 99999 to friends before restarting. I'm curious to see how long it will take me with 2 golden tickets to reach floor 50. I've used both on shops, and sent tanks from my iPad to my rebuilt game. Already had 6 celebrity ViPs lol. I'll keep shops level 3 I guess to save some Bux this time. Small bug, I can't see my past tower yet. Maybe it takes some time, I'll fill a support ticket tomorrow. Anyhow, I'm not sure I'll ever redo a tower past 100 floors again, been there, done that. but starting over with prestige is kinda fun Edit : 12 hours after rebuilding the tower, I just built floor 24 lol
I don't know if it's just me but the server for the friends list looks off. Everyone of my friends hasn't checked in more than 2 days (as if it were possible lol), and requested bzens don't seem to update on the list? Since yesterday at least.
thanks for confirming the friend list hang... thought this is a topic on my phone... also the levels are not resetted I have one in my list, that resetted his tower... the list sys 186 levels but he has only 19 right now... so dont believe what you see
I did omw for 9th ticket at 33 floors now. I can give a few insight on my strategy. -I only go for creation floors. 1 golden floor with all dreamjobbers but stocked only 3rd item for buyout vip. Better make that floor Soda Brewery. It has 85k stock means around 250k per vip. -Rest of gold tickets also goes for commercials which dont have any bitizens assigned. Use my Soda brewery bitizens to restock them, since they are lvl 10 they rarely depletes. -Only do enough residentials, since i dont have bitizens for golden floors i can do more commercial floors than i could do. -Raise every floor to lvl 3. Its just enough to last long and good for saving bux. -Keep restock vips if you have space and use them on newly finished and empty floors after raise them lvl 3. So it makes money even before you fill with bitizens. -Reuse bitizens. You have 2 towers so do i. Before every rebuild i send my dream jobbers to my only residental (and 1 commercial) tower. And resend them whenever i need them. So after a floor finished i can fill it with bitizens instantly if i got them on my other tower. I almost have all 9er for all creation floors. -At some point after 40 floors i reach a point where no more creational to build. Then i do service floors and use whatever bitizen i find for them. New vip is more than welcome at that stage. -After a certain point i can build all creation floors with only 1 residental floor. But it will be months, maybe year later if i still have the incentive. -Really really important point is buyout bitizen, its all matters actually since makes great money instantly. So best way is keep the game open and farm them. Thats all i can think of now. Glad to hear there are people going for more golden tickets.
This should be fixed now, there was a server bug introduced on Friday that didn't get fixed until a few hours ago. As soon as people play again it should correct their timestamp.
I really want the VIP package but it costs as much as a 3DS game. I would definitely buy it if it was around the 10 dollar range but that's it.
It does go on sale for %50 off during the first two days of play, and in the future could go on sale every once in a while.

Also you should often get a special offer : 25k Bux for 14.99/$ In TTV I ended up buying all the cosmetic stuff with Bux I won. Mostly because of the daily bonus incrementing and playing once a day since launch (now at 50/60 chips and ~3000 Bux a day after 600+ days). In TT, the daily bonus is 3 Bux * (days played + 2) (tbv) This means at the end end of the year once should get around 700 free Bux a day. In a year from launch around 1100 Bux. So this IAPs are shortcuts but you definitely are able to buy everything without paying a dime if you're patient. Allhough there are a lot more shops to upgrade in TT if you rebuild I just bought the police Box, pocket planes roof and a NASA lobby for fun on my iPhone. I need my Bux for upgrading floors and the elevator.
