Don't know man. I've had to restart my game quite a few times already and every time I get the storage apt and build a food structure above it, it is always yogurt. However, when I get the other type of apartment structure, I forget the name, I get the pub above it.

There seems to be widespread misunderstanding of the economics in this game.

There are three ways (other than IAP) that money rolls in.

    1. Rent - you get 100 coins per bitizen once every 24 hours, this is automatically applied the first time you log in each day (I'm guessing you probably forfeit daily rent if you don't log in for more than 24 hours)

    2. Store stock sales - you have 3 items, worth 1, 2, & 3 coins respectively, each store stocks a certain amount of each item and these sell automatically over time without any interaction from you until they are out of stock, then you need to restock and start the process over again.

    3. Ferrying random non-VIP passengers to their desired destination - this gets you 2X the destination floor number for your fee. Other than a case of an apartment vacancy at the destination floor, in which case the passenger will move in, these passengers do not seem to do anything (notice they never get the item balloon over their head the automatically appearing customers do, they just get off the elevator and walk off into the void to the right). The profit is all in the delivering them.

The first two methods are purely automated - check in at least once a day for rent, complete the stocking process for a business, that's all you have to do to earn money from those methods. Ferrying non-VIP passengers does not affect your income from these sources.

It is only the third method that requires you to sit there and do something to make money, but you don't have to do it if you don't want. It's purely an optional way of bringing in some extra money and towerbux.

Nope, it's meant to make you want to work longer to get the same point other people are at.

I have two tower bux until I'm at 50 :D

For now, it's just the ogling as was pointed out, but I'm wagering there will be a more tangible benefit like in Pocket Frogs eventually.

I think maybe the first few floors are predetermined. Just to start the player off with something recognisable.

Thanks. I was hoping for that.

How are people getting tower bux aside from building new floors? I only have 12.

This is the one thing you have to sit there and play the game to get if you don't want to resort to IAP. The two primary non-IAP ways to get them (beyond the token 1 per new floor) is the random towerbux tip you get from ferrying non-VIP passengers and completing the "Where's Waldo" find a bitizen missions that. Additionally, you sometimes get towerbux as a reward for fully stocking a store with all 3 items.

You can earn a decent amount without killing yourself. I've already earned close to 90 in all and I've not really been putting that much effort into it (had the game for about 24 hours now).

I get the majority of mine by ferrying elevator passengers and playing the "Where's Waldo" mini-game. I've already gotten my 100k trade-in and I'm about to pick up the first elevator upgrade... so it's totally worthwhile. :D

Anyone got a perfect 9's character? Also, is 0 actually 0 or is it 10? (as far as calculating discounts etc)

    Thanks for the info.

Also, it is possible to restock w/ all three items? I never see the item count when I have some of level 1 items in stock and restock w/ level 3.

There needs to be a way to cancel picking someone up from the elevator. I don't like getting VIPs and not being able to start a task that would be relevant to what they help in.

Also, sometimes it seems that the VIP who is taking 3 hours off of stock time never does.

It's possible to have all three stock-able items stocked at once. You even get a bonus for doing so.

Yeah... it might be a design decision. You can tell what the VIP does by looking at its sprite before clicking the elevator to take 'em up.

I love the pixelated people that now inhabit my fun. Some seruosly good pixel graphics and good gameplay. I am not usually a fan of these casual games but I really like this. Hooray for this being the first casual game I really like. Can you please fix the dreaded gamecenter glitch were it crashes becuase the only way that I can play is not connected to gamecenter yet I would like to use gamecenter so can you fix that.

So dump them on floor 2. It only takes a second and it's not like you're rushing the game anyway.

Thanks :D It's taking up too much of my time though ;)

I earned all mine by ferrying people, doing that thing where you find a person, and building floors. I sat for almost 3 hours playing/listening to things on my computer. I earned 50 tower bux for 100,000 coins, and now I have 8 tower bux towards the 25 needed for an upgraded elevator.

    This game is addicting :(

I was debating whether or not it was wise to spend 25 bux on the first elevator upgrade (after spending the first 50 bux on 100k coins), but wow. It's FAST.

It really makes a difference when you get more than 10 floors. Assuming you're crazy like me and spend all day ferrying passengers.
