It only maxes their stats when new Bitizens arrive in the apartment, not on Bitizen already there. It also doesn't work for gifted Bitizen from friends (treated as VIPs). If you have a big tower, it's better to empty the floor now, and use a "fill apartment" VIP in it. Don't hesitate to evict or gift Bitizens if they aren't dream jobbers. If your tower is small, also better to leave a few empty spaces and wait for a bitizen to go there with the elevator.
Thanks for the tip, Vio. Do you or anyone else care to post their tips on restarting? Would be much appreciated by all. Meanwhile, I was about to d/l TT II from iTunes store when I read the 2 star (eeeek!) review a couple of days ago (it has since been pulled since another update has come out since). True, it was mainly populated by people who didn't KNOW the update would cause them to lose their tower & they were very upset. Others felt the prices were too unreasonable to make casual game play possible anymore. Some missed features (for example I didn't know the bank was no longer there), others found it confusing. No, I'm not slamming Nimblebit, I'm posting this so others can see that I'm upset that such a creative, productive, innovative company would ever get lower than a 4 1/2 star review! At the very least, I hope NB will give a heads up to those in the midst of building their tower or wanting to keep their tower what the consequences will be to updating & using any new feature (I think that's what caused the many crashes mentioned). Further, I thought one would be able to keep a "read only" copy of previous tower, no? Still, I'm holding off until the dust settles. Perhaps NB will tweak the game if reasonable feedback is presented as it appeared to have done in the earliest part of the thread. Then I'll feel free to demolish my prized tower with impunity (or at least an update .
I just rebuilt yesterday my 215 floors legacy tower. It was too big, so way too slow and cumbersome to be really fun. I had a lot of fun with the new tower I had set up for the beta so I said good bye to the old one to try anew. Golden tickets are a huge help in the beginning. I'll try to post some tips this week end if I find time with the kids. Tbh, I feared that there would be a backlash from people updating their tower without knowing it would make such a big change. There's not much NimbleBit could do though, not many people read their tons of update notes. :X I posted in the beta thread about the problem of the huge increase in prices in coins and Bux. The whole economy changed, and obviously you make a lot more coins and Bux too, so it's not a problem if you start over. But for legacy towers it's an issue. It would have been wise to warn players to spend their coins stash before updating. Not sure how it could be done though. I guess you can't please everyone anyways. There are a lot of very friendly changes, the trading of Bitizens is cheap, the daily bonus will be huge after a few months. And making this game an update and not Tiny Tower 2, which would have been a lot easier for NimbleBit.
So, I guess it's wise to send all your 9 level bitizens to friends before rebuilding, right? Everything must go! (I'm planning to rebuild my original 206 floors tower).
Not really, you shouldn't if you want to visit your original tower again. It gets saved in "past towers" with all its Bitizens Frozen in time for eternity, or at least until NimbleBit's servers are pulled
Yay! 5th anniversary update! My history in Tiny Tower has been like this: Download, played it for a while(70+ floors), deleted, redownloaded, lost previous tower, chill with it, continued building tower for a few floors, deleted. And now I've redownloaded it bcuz of the update. So far, I like the update (the new social features especially) but I was slightly sad that the randomness of the paint was gone. I mean, I should be happy, but there was something entertaining about swapping paints randomly to find an interesting combination. Also the fact moving floors is free is great, now I can give all my Bitizens a fantastic view. The refined graphics have also been good. I'm happy that the social system is not Game-Center based (finding friends was hard) anymore.
Can someone explain how the new missions work? I'm supposed to find a bitizen or the item? I have found both but don't know what to do or click on.
An inconvenient update like this shouldn't surprise anyone. They did it with Vegas too, where all of a sudden the coin and bux cost of everything exponentially increased. Not sure why anyone would think it's fun to have their next floor cost rise from 3 million to 11 million, but that's NimbleBit for ya.
I've been playing my old tower on this anniversary version for a few days now and I like it. I had some issues though. When it restored my tower, it only found the version of my tower from my iPad 1. I had moved it to an iPad 3 but I had deleted the app from the 3 a while ago. It means I only have 359 level 9 dream jobbers and 196 floors. I had the complete lot plus a number of extra floors plus about 100 million coins and probably 500 bux. I started this one with 50 million and about 1000 bux. Not to worry. I missed the dream job 2 bux, evict, 1 bux move next person in exploit but that got tedious.
Trick : Moving a Bitizen between apartments That wasn't possible before the update. This useful trick requires two separate games on two devices, so you either need a friend, or a second game on another device Just send the Bitizen you want to move as a gift to your friend. He then needs to send him back to you. Once you receive the Bitizen, he's a VIP so you may put him on any floor you want. Cost only 10 Bux. This is most useful if you have a golden ticket apartment. The idea is to have the apartment empty for the VIP that fills the residence. On the tower I've rebuilt on my iPad, I have 3 golden ticket apartments, two of them I keep at least one empty slot for the elevator, the last one I try to empty for the VIP. This means that I have built myself an IRONMEN TANK factory (99999 stars Bitizens) \o/ I stock a few of them on my other game on my iPhone. If I have you as a friend (my codes 10Z5 and 10Z9), you will receive some as I have to get rid of a lot. Usually if you send me a useful Bitizen, I go see your tower and try to send you a tank Or sometimes I clean up my tanks and send them if I see wishes.
Thank you very much for every Iron Man - Hulk Bitizen would be nice. I don't understand all the negative reviews - I still have a lot of fun with this Game/Update.
Love the update but I have a few problems and suggestions for Ninblebit: 1. Day/Night cycle 2. Cheaper elevator upgrade prices. 8,100 bux for 0.25 speed increase is insane... 3. More diverse missions... Maybe delivery missions like pocket planes had? 4. Interactive game floors (like the casinos games in TT Vegas) 5. Keep updating to keep the game fresh.
