New update &$#%& those playing older version. I was a beta tester and have played the old version since its release. However my son also plays and didn't try the new version. He is more than extremely disappointed in how it was handled. He spent 1.3 million on a new floor and the floor in progress got deleted but it kept his money. His next floor is 5 million. It deleted the mission he was working on for 499 bucks. He turned off automatic updates and it still updated his tower. A there should have been a multiplication factor concerning the Bucks going from old version to the new update. Everything costs so much more. Someone posted the new release would be Thursday but it's still Wednesday. My son enjoyed playing this game as well as pocket planes but after this he says he will give up Tiny Towers.
Spend your money buying floors before upgrading. Cost of new floors after maxing old version is now $20 million.
Hrm. I'm considering nuking my old 200-floor tower because it's been broken ever since that bad X-Mas update. Now all of my custom floor names are gone too. I just don't know if I can handle the year-long journey to rebuild it all. Probably more, with this new economy!

Just installed the new update. I had enough for 6 new floors. Looks like it's going to take a while to get all the new floors which is nice. Not too keen on the nerfed elevator speed though. :-(
How do you start a new tower, if your old tower was under 50 floors? I see no way to stop the game from connecting to the server and downloading your last version.
Time to get back into this on my new(ish) phone! And oh man I would kill for a way to revisit the glory days of Tiny Death Star. e: ok, duly impressed that despite having not played in years, my old Tower is still available
I just recently started on TDS! (It's probably in your 'purchased' tab in the app store) At the time it came out it felt unbearably slow and didn't really hook me, but I was looking for something to play after I completed TTVegas, and now Death Star seems remarkably fast and speedy! I'm about 54 floors in so far. This is another reason I feel like I shouldn't get too involved with TT-original at the moment...
Love the update! Any ways to earn gold tickets besides starting over? Also I think the time of day should change in real time in game. It would be cool to see tiny tower at night!
Got my hopes up for a sec, then I remembered that I picked up TDS during my Android phase. Last time I tried to launch it on my old device, it crashed.
Can anyone help, I've used a golden ticket to upgrade a residential floor, and from my understanding it should max out their skills, but they have all seemed to stay the same. I thought they would all have 9s for each skill. Am I missing something? Thanks.
