oh ok, re-read. http://support.nimblebit.com/customer/portal/articles/1384173-missing-floors-with-2-2-3-holiday-update Wipe out weeks worth of building, who knows if I get those starred floors back. that. Delete.
I can't seem to get my data back off gamecenter like I use to, is it gone forever? I also lost all my data for tiny tower Death Star as well... not having much luck here?
So I'm supposed to rebuild floors and hope I get the same ones or rebuild apartments and hope I get the same bitizens? This is lame. I think I might be done with the game if it doesn't get fixed.
You can choose specific floors to build, but you'll have to spend your hard-earned tower bux to do so. The bitizens from my missing apartments still seem to be there (when you open their info on the bitizens list it still gives the proper floor as their residence). I'm hoping they'll still be there when the new apartments finish construction, but I still have a few hours before the first one finishes.
Let us know how that goes for you. My wife is still trying to decide what would be better: rebuilding the floors or just trying to roll back to 2.2.2.
Okay, rebuilding the apartments doesn't seem to affect the bitizens that were there. When the apartment finishes, the old bitizens remain in their slots and all is well.
Do the rebuilt stores retain their upgrades? Won't find out for several days while they rebuild. Thanks a lot nimblebit.
Have a merry Christmas from NimbleBit...# Your gift....deleted save games # Have a great holiday season restarting your towers everyone #
Yeah, it seems they didn't use iCloud or Gamecenter or whatever to save games for Tiny Death Star. I've had to start 3 so far. Hope this one doesn't get deleted. Sure wish they would implement iCloud saves for it... But it sounds like they'll have their hands full fixing these problems first. If these Holiday themes didn't get taken away in the next update, and instead just get added as an optional skin, then these problems wouldn't happen.
To be fair, if they reviewed their updates before releasing them onto the App Store, this would have never happened in the first place.
Delete your entire game (that has taken many months to grow?) just because you have to wait a couple of days for empty floors to become useful again? I don't think so. I've had a complete tower with all floors, fully staffed with level 9 dream jobbers. I know how frustrating it must be for that to be messed up. That said, I had deleted my tower and started over when I realized there weren't any new floors coming. I'm at 108 floors now, and yes, I was discouraged to see those empty levels. However, the floors are already built, at least, so I'm not out any coins - just time while I wait for them to become an open business. I am not spending bux to get a specific floor. Just taking a chance on what comes this time. It might be a new business for me, in which case I might be able to complete some new missions and get more bux. What about my dream jobbers if it becomes a different business? It's super easy to shuffle bitizens in and out til you get the right kind again. Is this update inconvenient? Sort of. But it's a free game in the first place, and I'm not slamming Nimblebit for this. I love most of their games, and this isn't the end of the world. Just my two cents!
I'm just kind of surprised that they didn't go the Facebook route - when FB updated their app a few weeks back, rendering it virtually unusable, they rolled back to the previous (and functional) version on the App Store before throwing together a patch. Since rolling back to 2.2.2 worked for some people here, I wonder if that would have been a better solution...
Question - If, when the floors have been rebuilt, do you get the buck when you put somebody in their Dream Job?
My floors just got rebuilt, when they did they allready had employees when they reopened so no free BUX. I did have two business's that opened on different floors and had to swap the employees. The only way I knew this was I went from 360 dream jobs to 354. On the other eight floors I had to fire an employee and rehire to make the stars appear.
It seems like Nimblebit are repeating the "give players gifts during the Christmas period" thing they did in 2012. Either that, or they gave me 20 Bux to apologise for the f*** up from last week's "update".
Agreed, though my rebuilding had a silver lining: one floor rebuilt to something else (since I wasn't maxed yet) and I was able to put people into dream jobs there that were just hanging out prior to the fiasco.
