Just encountered an odd bug; haven't done any research to see if it's common or not. Took a citizen to an unoccupied apartment floor via elevator, and I got the message that he moved in but he never became available! So I had a dude strolling around an empty floor. I closed the game in the multitask bar, and restarted. He was totally gone after that. Anyone else encounter this?
Rumours say that Tiny Tower is haunted. There are two main stories about this, believe on this what you will. Story 1 - In the erection phase of a floor, one of the builders wives came visiting to deliver some lunch to her hungry man, he wasn't there but his building buddy was. Unbeknown to him, his buddy and his wife were having an affair. He came back for a toilet break to find them working on another erection. In a struggle he slipped on a steel girder and hit his head, killing him instantly. The wife and her lover fled the scene never to be seen again. They say he haunts the tower until he can find peace from this betrayal. Story 2 - In the early days of Tiny Tower construction, it was a wild and reckless time. Lots of money was floating around and huge wagers were placed on sporting events and the like. Story goes that one of the construction guys ran up a debt that his pay couldn't cover, betting on a big horse race. Everyone told him that No# 13, "Lucky Sure Thing", was a ringer and wouldn't win but he bet the farm on it. It did win, but the fix was found out and it was banished. A not very nice bookie sent the lads around to collect the debt, he couldn't pay and was murdered. His body was hidden in the walls on level 13. You might have seen a Tiny Tower ghost!
I'm assuming workers stumbled upon some sort of cursed sarcophagus during construction of the Egyptian Apartments!
I have my own recurring bitghost Samuel Parker, a Chuck Norris lookalike. He was living on floor 31, but it occured many times that he reappeared in the elevator - and when he was about to move into a new residental floor, there was a notification that "Samuel Parker moved in". However - he never stayed there... Once after such a "phantom move-in" i looked into Bitbook and one of his "neighbors" wrote "I think our new roommate Sam is a ninja". That makes sense...
I'm wondering this too, I maxed out shortly after the last lot were released and have now all 9 stat dj's throughout. I somehow can't stop playing the game though and have 140 million coins!, only 81 bux though cos I spent about 1000 just to get the last dj and around 500 upgrading floors, every floor has a minimum of 1 1/2 hours restock.
Same with me. I have almost 100million in cash but no bux. I've upgraded all businesses to a minimum of 2 hours for level one items. As for all level 9 DJs, I'm not too concerned. I have all DJs and that's all I care.
You guys got me beat... But since we're sharing, I have 55 million in coins, alongside 59 bucks (sad). On a positive note, I have all DJs, and each floor at least level 15. My highest level floor is my bookstore, Books Brothers (level 60).
Currently sitting on 172m coins and 560b. All floors minimum of lvl15. Living the TT dream More floors required :-D
I'm wondering what else the devs could do to keep us playing? anyone have any ideas? How about being able to build a 2nd tower alongside the first with a bridge available to link them up once floor 100 reached on both towers?
Personally I'd like to see some mini games or something of the like for the tasks. I think this game would be perfect for them.Say you had to pour a drink, then you'd pick up a pitcher and pour a glass of the drink to a certain level. If you did well enough then the wait time for restocking would decrease,if you did bad then it would remain the same(possibly a temporary increase in the sale amount of the item or a chance at extra tower buxs);then you could only "play" the mini game every so often for another chance. Really would like something else to do with the tower bux also, I've got a small hoard of them.
Alright, just because... here is a list of all my levels. It may seem weird why some are at 30, and some are at 1, but I made a spreadsheet so that I would know which business is the lowest stocking level 1, and I always upgrade that one by 10. That's why there's an inbalance of levels. What is there to do in this game? Every time I play for like 2min and I run out of things to do, or is that the point? - Move people up and down elevator which takes like 2 seconds - Spend a few seconds restocking each floor and just wait - Build a new floor if you have money and hopes it's a shop that's useful since apparently you pay for the construction but your contractor gives you a completely random shop, wtf? That's it? Shops are random, colors are random, citizens are random, you can't decorate the shops or edit them in any way except recoloring, or even edit the names of citizens. I was hoping you can upgrade the residences so they hold more than 5 people but so far I see no option to do that.
I'd love to see some little gambling. For example - we are building new floor of some type, and there are 5 available floors of that type. That gives 20% chance of picking right floor and 80% chance of picking the wrong one. Now - why don't give user a chance to invest any number of coins and/or tower bux? If I bet for 100 tower bux and win, I would get 80 extra TB in return. If the chance is 50%, I would get only 50% in return if I win. Of course, there should be no limits - if I wish to risk 100% of my resources, then why not? Same kind of gambling could be introduced when moving in bitizens: you could bet for the category of bitizen's dream job or even bet the exact dream job... No risk, no fun What else? It would be nice if we could move in citizens with specific DJ category - for fair price, something like 5-6 TB. Other options: 1. tips from bitizens in the elevator should reward better service: - normally - 10% - reached the correct floor in <5 sec. = 30% extra probability - reached the correct floor without releasing "move" button = 30% extra 2. "find the waldo" - similar: - normally - 1 TB - <5 sec. - 30% chance of additional TB - locate the bitizen by first guess - extra 30% chance of additional TB - bitizen located on residental floor - extra 20% chance 3. Bonus for keeping bitizens at their Dream Job (to prevent people from DJ cycling) - let's say, each day bitizen's skill level for his current job increases by 0.1, with limit at 30 instead of 9. 4. Full log, like: - 12-01-09 11:34 Private Eye ran out of Surveillance - 12-01-09 11:35 Finished restocking Giant Pizza in Pizza Bar - 12-01-09 11:36 Mike Myers (DJ: Sushi Bar) moved into floor 49 - 12-01-09 11:42 sold out 18239 Murder Case (Private Eye), 54717 coins, 17 Tower Bux - 12-01-09 11:49 finished construction of Sub Shop at floor 152 5. Stats, stats, stats - like: overall sales by day/week/month, flow of bitizens (moved in/evicted) For the points (4) and (5) I would even pay for premium version of Tiny Tower... and I'm sure I wouldn't be alone Greetz!
Tower Bucks Last night, I received a message that said I found three tower bucks under a cushion. Did anyone else have this happen?
From the looks of things, they could just add another 5000 floors and you guys would be happy for another couple years.
