It's also, outside of getting new renters into apartment vacancies (and even that can be circumvented with tower bucks), a completely unnecessary "chore". There is zero need to ferry a single bitizen ever in this game. When you deliver them to a store, that passenger doesn't buy anything from that store, you get your coins for delivering them (which does happen to exceed the amount you would have got from a store sale anyhow) or a tower bucks tip, but it's completely optional, it has no effect on the functioning of the tower.

Your assessment that the worst thing that can happen is you progress slower is spot on, and your subjective opinion is yours, just remember that not everybody is going to agree. As someone who has played all manner of hardcore game in my life, sometimes you just want to watch something grow and relax, and that's where these games fit in.

    Thinks about a future upgrade

I need to see how are the stock of other stuff when a store is refurnishing one item.
I need to switch between characters sheets by swiping one finger to the right or left.
I need to cancel a vip and put it in stand by when I can't use it.
I need a warning when stocks are going low for a whole store.
I need an option to see the name of characters.
I need an option to automatically restock by paying bucks
I need day and night cycle !
I need a better sync between iOs device : I lack one level and 5000 coins between my iPhone and my ipad...

What do you think folks ?

Actually, you do get a small tip every time. Usually 5-15 coins. Occasionally you will get 1 bux.

Uh I purchased 100 bitbux and got a message saying i had collected taxes from the biztens, earning me a little money. Is this a coincidence or do you get a bonus from buying iap? If it's just a coincidence, then how do you collect taxes? But if it's the latter, then I think there should be a way to collect bitzen's taxes.

Anyway thanks to the people who have been adding me on GC :)

Skymuffin - when you deliver someone to their desired floor, the payment is always double the floor number, unless of course you get a bitbuck.

I asked about this. It's a UI limitation but also a part of the challenge and another nudge to convince the player to spend bux/purchase IAP.
    Sounds pretty good to me.
For virtual life to be engaging there needs to be a random element, VIPs are part of that. It sucks when you get a construction worker and there's nothing being constructed, but I'm glad that all VIP appearances are kept totally random, it's the most fair way.
Push notification or warning icon inside the game? The second sounds better to me, pushes are only going to annoy you once you've built a lot of floors.
Why? Aesthetics? It'd ruin the "Where's Waldo?" minigames, unless it was disabled when they appeared.
    Interesting idea.
    You've got it!

I'm sure last night when I started it was night so maybe it changes in real time, not sure will find out in a couple of hours when it gets dark I suppose.

See my post above :p It changes in real time. I don't think there's a whole dusk/dawn sunset/rise animation but it definitely switches between night and day.

Yeah it wasn't my intention to imply nobody should get enjoyment from the game. I was simply expressing my personal disappointment -- I didn't expect a game with 8-bit aesthetics (usually associated with more hardcore games) to be just another Farmville type game. Because to me, Farmville type games are just a time sink. :)

Sounds like you've been messing with the Date & Time settings. That will cause problems.

This is like the Pocket Frogs release all over again. Excellent, unique freemium game that doesn't actually require you to pay IAP, but the release is marred with bugs and glitches.

In addition to all the ones that have already been mentioned, I also want to point out that I think the timer may be wrong. I exited an app when I had a floor being constructed with about an hour and half to go. I go back on the app, and it definitely wasn't an hour past yet, and the floor was done already.

On a similar note, I often feel the time is moving too slowly on Tiny Tower. I go away and do a million chores, watch TV and eat my dinner and when I come back nothing is done. That said... I'm pretty sure it's all in my mind :p

Is there a way to force your device to look for the most recent save version?

Played a bit on my iPhone 4 4.3.1 and when I loaded it on my iPad 2 5.0 beta, it told me it could restore a save - but the save was from when I had just built my first floor.

    Thanks

Nope. But I had many crashes, a reset. Bug maybe? Why would the date and time effect it anyway?
