The higher your tower the more TB you will generate by the elevator. Take my tower for example: 99 floors, 42 apartments with 4 or 3 bitizens each. 42.9% chance of a bitizen moving into an apartment 65.9% chance of new bitizen hitting a dream job (56 / 85 shops built) = 28.2% chance for 2 TB. That means for every 2 bitizens in the elevator I can expect to get a TB from dream job, plus TB tip (don't know %.) For a few minutes of playing the elevator I can move in 10+ bitizens with DJs. It'll take me maybe an hour of straight playing to get 50TB, but I only check a few times a day for a few minutes.
It depends on a. the store and b. how often you check the game. It sounds like you're wanting an absolute strategy for everything in the game that will give you the optimal experience. However, no one here will be able to give it to you because the game is structured such that it depends greatly on each player. For me, the ideal floor level of each store is the one that puts the lowest-tier item at having 900 or more stock, because I can only check the game once per hour (at best!) most days (because of work). Not necessarily. Channum ran the numbers somewhere around page 50 (I think) of this thread. Essentially, what it comes down to is this: whenever you're not paying attention to the game for an extended period of time (sleep is the most obvious example), the higher the stock, the more money you will make before the stock runs out. Thus, overnight, higher stock is better than lower stock at making money. But as a thought exercise, say you have a store that you have to check every 5 minutes to either restock or to buy stock (for restocking). Compare that to a store that you have to check every hour for the same. In three hours, you will have had to check the 5-minute store 12*3 = 36 times, and if for any of them you were slow, you lose profit. Meanwhile, the hour store only requires 1*3 = 3 checks during that time. Obviously, you have more opportunities at losing efficiency with the 5-minute store than the 1-hour store. And if, for whatever reason, you can't actually check your phone for 30 minutes, you'll have lost more from the 5-minute store you can't restock than from the 1-hour store you can't restock.
Woah there. This morning I woke up and got the message saying I got 400K while I was away, and another 16K or so for the daily rent. The game crashed, and I restarted it, and both messages disappeared, meaning I'm short 400K+. Totally bummed!
That happened to me as well. But the odd thing was I was 300K short but the shops were restocked to the levels they where when I left. So I didn't lose any sales just 3 hours of unused time
To update or not to update? I am at 112 floors. It now takes 1,915,350 to build a floor and that goes up by about 30k each time. I am averaging about 1200 spm (from 1000-1400) and so it will now take about 26 hours until I can build. I use my Tower Bux only to hurry the opening of a floor (55 or so -- much better than 50 for 100,000 at this height) or to do a quick sale at night before I go to bed as I find that I get up to my max spm if I have lots to stock when I wake. I have been at this since June 29th and I am getting to the point where I just want to "finish", ie. reach the top floor and just manage for Dream Jobbers at a 9 ranking. The update will introduce new floors and I presume new Bitizens so the ones that I get will not necessarily be associated with those first 85 storefronts. I have kept a few Bitizens in underwhelming jobs until I get the stores that I am waiting for and now I only have a few per type. Thoughts?
If you don't want the new businesses, don't update. No real question, there. I would say though, that if you're not enjoying the game any more, just stop playing it.
What's New in Version 1.4 - New floors! - New costumes! - Share your tower on the web from the main menu! - Added separate settings for sounds and music. - Fixed bug causing a crash when viewing certain neighbors. - Fixed a bug where Realtor VIP move-ins had the same dream job. - Fixed a bug causing floors to paint themselves. - Fixed a bug preventing shoes from changing color in dress up. - Increased allowed length of custom floor names.
*Bug* - A friend tried out the share your tower feature. And her floors below 60 aren't showing and none of her bitizens are showing either. I actually refreshed my browser and finally saw some of them, but not all...and none of them were animated.
Thank you, for lengthening the names I can make for my floors. Honestly my favorite part of the game is renaming new floors, and seeing the names people come up with on my friends list.
Response to my friend on Twitter from NimbleDave: "...our servers are getting a little overwhelmed, that is probably why they are missing. We are working on it!"
