Me too, although it seems reasonable to me that they wouldn't want to tinker with the UI too much. And that lack of information adds an interesting (albeit frustrating) element to the game when you get a Big Spender.
I found that that only happens once with a new floor, but the way to prevent it is to paint it, or paint it once then reset if you prefer the original color.
feature request wish i could change the update interval of how many coins i have (shown in lower left corner). i really don't need to see it update every second and i hate how it interferes with the scrolling and elevator rides. i would be fine with 10 second updates or even higher.
Suggestion for future feature - an uptime statistic for each store, similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon's rides, to tell the player the percentage of time the store is closed because it ran out of all 3 stocks. That way a player will know if he needs to level up the store so it can function more optimally. Also, a bug still remains where a bitizen will change his dream job after viewing his profile. A bitizen moved into a 3-occupancy apartment with a dream job in Scoops, so I evicted a DJ Scoops worker in a full apartment; when I went back to employ the new Scoops guy, his dream job changed to Graphic Design! (The worst part is he still got the job.) Now my Scoops has 2 dream jobbers and can't stock the ice cream cake.
So one thing I haven't been able to figure out. Will you get better performance of someone who has a 9 within the same job category as their current job with no dream job match or someone with a 5 or 6 in the category with a dream job match? That is, is it better to side with the dream job or the high proficiency?
Dream job, no doubt. One way to think of it is this: a single bitizen's skill level can, at most, knock off 9% of the restocking charge for goods, whereas having a dream job effectively reduces the cost by 50%, since you buy twice as much for the same price. (Each DJer only affects one stock level, of course.) Another (obviously related) advantage is that a DJer doubles the in-stock time for a level, which can be hugely helpful if one is away from the game for a time. Finally, a DJer gives you two bux when they are first placed in the job -- this can be merely a nice bonus for small towers, but once you get beyond having half the businesses, you can use this two-bux reward to reliably generate a literally endless supply of bux, as long as you're willing to patiently play the bitizen shuffle game. So definitely favour DJers over high skill.
Hands up all those who like the Celebrity VIP. Hmmm... OK, no hands went up. OK, so what about 3 types of Big Spender VIPs? One to buy out tier 1 only, one to buy out tier 2 only and one to buy out tier 3 only. Discuss.
Love this game. I really wish that there was a notification for when an item goes out of stock and you're able to re-stock it (i.e. the notification won't show if the floor is stocking another item). And also, just wanted to report a bug, which you guys may or may not have addressed in the upcoming update. There would be a lot of times in which I would move a bitizen in, but he/she would not show up. I've noticed this specifically with 'Esther Carr'.
Bug Report: Ok so if you go into the bitizen list and scroll faster than it can load and you tap a blank selection it'll take you back to upclose view of the tower though at the bottom right hand corner the big red X is there, if you press it the screen will freeze and you will only be able to use the menu options and zoom out if you don't hit it you can still scrolln and check your stores but when you check a store and press the X to get out of that store option the screen will freeze
Sub shop: 6 inch: 1 coin 9 inch: 2 coins 12 inch: 3 coins I think for 3 coins, I'll take 3 6 inches, this way you get 18 inches of sub for the price of 12
i just got the notification that said like get the tiny tower app for 10 free tower bucks, like 5 times in a row....50 free tower bucks for me, i'm not complaining
this bug happens to me also. it's annoying. personally, i think nimblebit should change the first list to show unemployed bitizens only. i never need to see the full list of employed bitizens, especially since it takes too long to show the full list when you have 200+ bitizens.
They should really make a notification option that shows up on our settings, that way I can set 'Badges' only as I hate getting the sound and alert for anything other than my text messages.
There's no point having notifications on Tiny Tower after about ten floors. It goes off every five minutes so you can basically just assume there's stuff to do without needing to be told.
