I think it's just random probability with the VIPs. I haven't seen one in three days!

More elevator rides means more coin, because you'll get more tips. My elevator gets a new rider usually the instant it hits the lobby, but the faster elevator would just speed up the shuttling process. I'm having a tough time saving up for the ultra turbo whatever lift... 246 bux saved so far...

True, but I don't find the coin is actually worth all that much -- at 2*floor number, it's relatively little once one is generating a lot of coin otherwise (although perhaps the super fast elevator changes the equation). I'm far more interested in producing more VIPs, as the delivery and construction VIPs are very handy in setting up the timing for game downtime, such as restocking a valuable floor or bringing a new business on line just before sleeping or going to work. It would be great if a faster elevator meant more VIPs.

Keep only 1 tier stocked at a time. Only keep tier 3 stocked and then have tier 2 stocking and when it's done just leave it. DON'T press the stock button until tier 3 has ran out. When tier 3 runs out you can start selling tier 2 and stock tier 3 again. Tier 1 is not used. To do this method you do have to be on the game a lot. Especially for the food floors as they sell out quickly so I'm continuously alternating between tier 2 and 3 with those throughout the day. The only downside to this method is that you have so many of the stocking icons at the bottom of the screen that you never get to see the blue icon where you have to find a resident.

Wow, the restocking times are starting to get out of hand. 6 hours to stock up on 'Trig Help'? Since when did tutors need to stock shelves?

That said i love this game and check it ten times a day even at work. You are ruining my life, nimblebit :p

So I'm not sure if you guys have tried tinkering with this. But I seem to get higher profits while selling only tier 3 items. When I'm fully stocked with my tier 3 items, I get around 2000 coins per min, but I tried stocking all 3 tiers, and my average goes down to 1400 coins per min.

Yeah doctors office is like 16.5 hours lol. Although I have 3 dream jobbers for that so 16 hours equals 30,000 stock :D

Cloverfield, I'm curious as to whether the rates you get with your technique are sustained over time, or, more specifically, if it is possible to keep floors stocked with at least one level of item if one is only using the upper two levels. Are there times you run out and have to wait out stocking times? Or can you juggle between the two top levels without any stores closing?

I can usually juggle it just fine. The vast majority takes longer to sell than it does to restock the other tier. Food floors are the real problem as juggling between tier 2 and 3 becomes challenging as they run out so quick. If you don't have loads of time I would just stock tier 1, 2 and 3 for the food and do the trick for all the others.

You'll get no Bux for restocking using that technique. Bux > coins, for me.

Never used to get many from stocking anyway. Besides, I have over 300 atm anyway.

As much as I'd like to hit 1,500+ coins in sales I'd rather earn more TB by playing the "find the bitizen" minigame and getting some from having fully stocked floors. Plus, i'm all about achievements so I need to keep them fully stocked just to get a new achievement.

Fair enough. As I say, my way is great for getting massive sales per minute but not so good on the TB front.

Once your tower is high enough you can get as many bux as you like doing the "dream job shuffle". That may be a bit too power-gamey for some folks, though, as it's definitely not at all "realistic" (whatever that might mean for a game like this).

I finally hit 499 Tower Bux today and upgraded to the newest elevator. Took a couple of weeks since the upgrade came out to get there. Also did a small IAP to help speed up the process. I must say i'm very impressed with the new elevator. I'm currently at 89 floors and the elevator is so fast now.

Don't know if this has been asked before since there's over 200+ pages on this thread but will there be new businesses added in future updates? I know there's only so many right now so eventually we'll run out right? Unless more are added in the future
