I stay relatively quiet while on this thread just so I can marvel at the detail at which you guys get to in describing game mechanics. I feel like I'm learning basic economics. Just an update: I find slowing my businesses down so that they average around 3-hour 3rd tier stock times is working nicely. It's making the game manageable and still fun. I do have a question for Eeenmachine, where ever he might be: I accidentally began the game on my iPad 2 using my sister's Game Center account, but I'd like to somehow migrate the data from her GC account to mine, so I can play on my iPhone as well- and also compare towers with other members. Anyway to help solve my problem?
Hi all, appreciate some help here please. I am still holding on to the old version of TT (3 bux dreamjobber) so I know the game changed alot. I will greatly appreciate if someone can advice me: 1) Business Stocking - Increasing their level - uses coins or bux, if so, how much? How many levels are there? 2) Renaming Business - uses coins or bux, or is it FREE? 3) Buying Costumes - uses coins or bux? How much is each and how many are there? Also, what other changes are there?
Got "the elevator" yesterday too. Damn it's so much better. Took me about 3 days, but I saved 399 bux for myself, and then, as a way of saying thanks to Ian for creating such an awesome game, I bought the last 100 Now it feels like saving 50 bux for 100,000 coins isn't such an ordeal. Hmmm, I wonder if there's any scope to put a 100 bux option in the bank for 250,000 coins Question: Why is the Construction Worker VIP the only one that doesn't actually walk across the screen once they have been delivered to the desired floor? They just fade out of the elevator and that's it! I think it would be nice to have the option of seeing what demands there are for floors with respect to where people would prefer to work e.g. I have lots of Bitizens who have dream jobs in Service and Retail compared to the other 3 categories, and to have a screen that reflects what is "required" for DJs would be much easier than slowly scrolling down the Bitizen list to see who's looking to work where. Would especially help those who build sales floors a little more haphazardly than me. I think the BB is totally useless now; however, I do constantly check the posts (why???). Would be much better to have this area as a functional part of the game e.g. mini-games with clues on where to find items to gain extra bux, for instance? Just thinking out loud, people! Maybe down the track we could create our own one-off "Building Manager" Bitizen; name & dress them, choose their dream job, and let them live in a luxurious floor of their own (read "insert yourself into the game"!!). Just a thought... And for the (current) record: 92 Floors - 12 Food - 12 Service - 11 Recreation - 11 Retail - 11 Creative - 34 Residential 168 Bitizens 108 DJs SPM approx 925-1025 Loving the game and these posts.
This made me LOL. And kudos to you for the SAHD thing. Staying at home with my girls would be MY dream job.
Dagnabbit. If it's really that awesome, guess I'll pony up $5 for 100 of the 164 bux I need for this last upgrade.
Anyone else encountered this bug? After ferrying a bitizen to a residential level that has space, the bitizen doesn't actually move in. The last time this happened, the bitizen that supposedly moved in was already living there and was employed. (Might also be the case for the other times this has happened, but I just didn't notice it.)
I actually JUST experienced that and was about to post it. Yeah, you're not alone. But it doesn't seem to be really often, this was the first time it's happened.
BB ideas: - bitizen complains about their wardrobe or hair; you find them and change it to get a BUX - bitizen complains about a roommate; evict the offending roommate or the one complaining (based on the comment) get a BUX - bitizen suggests a new name for a store or apartment; make that change get a BUX There are other ideas but these can be implemented without changing or adding any new features. Most of the BB stuff should still be nonsense, BUX BB messages should only show up as frequently as the VIP's. Other ideas include ability to move bitizens to a diff apartment for a BUX.
I like the first and third points. The second one seems too harsh; it's forcing the user to evict a person they might need because of their DJ or something. And then moving bitizens to different apartments isn't possible right now, and it'd be kind of pointless to allow that anyway
The BB ideas would be all voluntary, so up to the player to decide if the change is worth the BUX. I know that some OCD players that have all their bitizens with colour coordination and purposeful naming would not take the BUC (I would't evict a DJ). The idea about moving bitizens are for the OCD that would spend the BUX putting all the food bitizens living together... Also then you could have a BB message about Joe wanting to live with Emily, u make it happen and get a BUX.
I think there's enough ways in the game to get Bux, I don't see them adding more and I don't see how those ideas would add much enjoyment to the game, they'd be annoying to most players who want to customise their towers themselves rather than be told how to do it. New random business idea: ITEM SHOP. Sells Potion, Shield, and Ultimate Weapon.
The ideas come from the fact that the BB is an interesting idea and is neat for about 10 min then becomes pretty much useless. But there's potential for the BB to become something integral to the experience.
Another little bug... I renamed my Music Store to "Grooves" after the business renaming ability kicked in Yesterday I got a bitizen with a DJ of "Music Store" When I moved him into the Grooves - it didn't acknowledge the DJ placement because the names didn't match
Just to confirm, you're not getting the music store and the record store confused are you? They're different businesses. The record store sells records, the music store sells instruments.
Yeah, I got that mixed up a couple times, too. Honestly, the record store just needs to be the music store and the music store needs to be the instrument store. So much simpler.
Sound bug Look.. i really love this game.. With more than 100 levels i am currently on, i have devoted significant time in this game, much more than i initially thought i would.. When the update which reduce the DJ towerbux to 1 came, i obediently update and no complain from me, what so ever. BUT.. Will you ever fix the irritating sound bug? (the sound bug due to receiving an SMS or push notification while playing the game with sound on. I believe many people have reported it) It's driving me crazy... okay, enough complaining.. now back to restocking my business...
