I hate to fuel the fire, but I have also experienced a drastic drop in not just sale, but more troubling, the tower bux from restocking. Before the update, I could rake in dozens of bux a day but since then Ive made around five or so total. Maybe probability is giving me the finger, but it might be a bug. Also, no little blue find requests.
I just set my countdown timer to test the bux myth. I played for exactly one hour to see how many bux I would get. I got 8 bux for fully stocking, 5 from finding people and 6 from tips. So 19 in 60 minutes or about one every 3 minutes.
No idea, only the developer can answer that question. Will the bug where costumes not carrying over when a bitizen moves in be addressed in this update? I am really frustrated on seeing some cool costumes move in but end up for them to not carry over when they actually move in. In addition, I've already provided a solution to the game crashing on the loading screen, and it works for not just me, but quite a few others as well (including the above). Please look into this as well. Yes, it is random... Yes, VIPs definitely have gone way down for me. I'm not sure if they actually lowered the probability of it or if my luck has just gone down for it.
I've only had one costume ask to go to a floor with a free room, but that one time he stayed in costume so I'm not sure if this a bug, or a randomness thing. Or maybe I'm just fortunate (read my previous post about bux in an hour)
Well I've already had about 5 costumed bitizens move in and none of them carried over their costumes, so I think it's a bug. EDIT: In addition to the costume and crashing bugs, I also forgot to mention I've been experiencing another for quite some time. Whenever a new apartment/business opens, their paint color always changes the next time I open the game. I was especially pissed because this apartment came in GREAT colors, but it's now different and I just spent 2 tower bux on 200 buckets of paint, and I can't get those colors again.
With that bug, you can just use the "revert to default" option, to get the apartment back to the colours it came in. You don't have to waste buckets of paint if all you want to do is get it back the way it originally was.
Thank you, NimbleBit, for restoring my faith in you guys as a Freemium game company with ethics. This update has everything I was hoping for customization-wise. And as far as I'm concerned, the fact that you heard our complaints re. the DJ Bux reward and responded with the 2Bux option is staying way classy. Dropped another $4.99 in the NB tipjar by way of saying a more tangible "thanks".
I think I should also take the time to say thanks for the update, and the game in general. Ive played this game literally every day since release and the update adds so much more. Its almost criminal how bad this update makes me want to buy all the bux I can afford. Great job. Looking forward to more epic updates.
I have 50 floors, 30 selling floors. I just woke up and fully stocked around 20 of those in the last hour or so. Wanna know how many bux I got? None. I literally got none for stocking around 20 times which includes re-stocking my mexican food floor as it runs out quickly. So much for 1 in 6 lol
I just stocked my tower and got 5 bux from the 15 shops that were fully stocked. I think I got some of your bux.
+1 It never ceases to amaze me that so many people's understanding of random, particularly when it comes to independent events, is pretty much the opposite.
If your bitizen's feet are the same colour as the background, when they walk it looks like they are floating across the room. It's freaky ... Yeah I play this game too much.
It's not random. It's one in six. By that logic I should have got it 3 times. At least once anyway. I'm not hating on the game, I love it and play it for hours every day without the fail. Even spent real money on it. Just confirming with others that they aren't the only people to experience a change...even if there wasn't one.
And you prove my point. Each triple stock bonus is an independent event. The outcome of events 1-5 have NOTHING to do with the outcome of event 6. The chances you would get 20 triple stock bonuses without a single buck award is 2.6%, low, but also 100% in the realm of probability*. If you want to claim there's an issue, you'll need to get 77 consecutive triple stocking bonuses in a row without a single bux reward, because that is the first time, considering the number of people with this game, that the statistics would start to make an anecdotal claim remotely supportive of there being a problem. *To revisit your "problem", statistically, at least 26,000 people have experienced the same bad "luck" as you in the past day or so, so you showing up here to claim it's indicative of something wrong with the game means nothing.
Here's what's happening here. When the dev says there's a 1 in 6 chance, you're interpreting that to mean that in 6 stocks, you're guaranteed 1 Bux. That is not what random means. What it actually means is that for every single stock, there's a 1 in 6 chance that you'll get a Bux. It's not dependent on whether or not you got a Bux in the last five stocks, each stock is completely independent. That means sometimes you'll get more than 1 Bux in 6 stocks, and sometimes you'll get 0. Try rolling a dice. There's a 1 in 6 chance that you'll roll a 1. A 1 in 6 chance that you'll roll a 2, etc. That doesn't mean that in six rolls you're guaranteed to have rolled each number precisely once. It's random. Maybe it'll be less confusing to think of it as a percentage. Every full restock you have a 16.6% chance of it generating a Bux.
No I think _I_ got them! I filled 18 stores - got 7 bux in a row and then within the remaining 11 got 4. Sorry Cloverfield for siphoning them from you! But seriously - it is random per floor. Not for every 6 floors you get you get 1. For every floor you stock it is 1 in 6. Not like the find the bitizen game that has some pretty reliable appearance rates; not a guarantee like sticking a dream jobber in his preferred job. Like Ian said in an earlier post, keep track of 100 stocks, and see how many you get in that 100. You simply can't judge by the small amount. Just like I can't use my single experience for anything other than I got a lot this time, wow. Or alternatively, Nimblebit knows our Game Center names and awards bux accordingly. You know, it being a conspiracy and all.
