Haha I thought you were asking because you had finished it already, the saw your next post about not knowing about a lite version. So you want more updates before you even tried it? I imagine these levels take a LOT to make and test so don't hold your breath on that but it's a lovely complete game as it is and I can't see why you wouldn't buy the whole game if you enjoy it. For me I played this and only this until I completed it which is weird for me! It's really nice game but I also hope more is coming.
Now free. Were there always IAPs (see attachment) or have they been added in the recent update today? Also, I've watched some videos here http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/category/rovio-stars/tiny-thief/ but they seemed to have changed the level design (more difficult).
Bump. Hate to quote myself: Could someone who has the game installed before the "sale" please answer this simple question? Thanks a lot in advance. I need that information because I want to know if this game is recommended or not. Is it now Freemium or not?
When I played it earlier this year I don't recall there being any IAP. As of the update I still don't see any way to buy anything in game as there isn't even a store menu. There is one button that allows you to restore purchases, so it looks like IAP must be somewhere, but I just played through 2 chapters and you can't access an in game store from any menu and no ads have popped up promoting you to purchase anything. Also weirdly enough, all hints are unlocked for some reason. Every level I've played the hint book has not been locked, so maybe they removed a prior IAP system? I remember having to use stars in the past to unlock hints. Looking at your IAP purchase list above I think I just confirmed that they removed IAPs or never put it in. The two 1.99 chapters A Royal Rescue and Rattling Bones are included, you only have to unlock them with stars, and stars are earned while playing the game. There's also no way to purchase them with real money in the game.
Thanks, Cilo! I recognized the free hints, too, but I wasn't sure if I consumed some undiscovered in-game currency on opening the hints book. So this perfect puzzle game is highly recommended! (And I'd love to care more about gameplay and design than some existent or non-existent marketing strategies.)
Beautiful game. Free. Everyone go buy. Really, guys, this is among the best games i ever played on an iPhone, it just fits it perfectly.
Had this on my watch list and it shown up free I'd completely forgot about it but so glad it become free as I'm surprisingly enjoying this game a lot. Also no IAP showing for me the only annoying thing is it keeps telling me to check the hint book well before I'm even stuck on anything but I'm glad it's free to click on if it did use to cost. Edit: ok so I just reached the pirate world and now hints say 1 per day and an IAP option appears.
This game can be freemium in the sense that you can buy more hints to beat the game faster, but that's not the point of a puzzle game like this. I've beaten the game and only used 2-3 hints, max. I bought this before it went free; judging by the looks of the new IAP, the later episodes are now locked behind a paywall. I suppose this is a better way for players to get a taste of the game, and then pay when they want more.
Oh, great! Loading that up now so I can buy a hint that Ill never want to use. I still feel guilty about getting this for free. =)
